In an article that came out recently, Mark said that coming out with solo releases like this is something that they needed to want for themselves first.
I thought before, everyone is scheduled to have some releases following Jaehyun's but I guess I understood more now that they basically need to be the ones to initiate it. And it could take several tries, like for Mark, he said his first official solo release wasn't supposed to be Child, but guess Child was the one the company first approved.
So I now understand, the others may not be ready yet, but hey, we all wish for them to have some soon, and also thanking Mark for continuously releasing his own music.

Now, I agree that I'm also anticipating solo works from my other faves but I don't like how Ryan insinuated that there is Mark favoritism while we don't know fully what's happening behind the scene. What he did behind to actually get that solo work. God knows he might have done so much extra work. Dress (the producer) even said Mark personally chose to spend his small breaks given by SM to work on his personal projects. Mark chose his own producer, he wrote his lyrics, he's very involved in all aspects of his works.
We are just fans and we can just speculate. It's not that hard to appreciate the music first before getting ahead of ourselves by speculating, "Why is it ALWAYS specifically Mark that is given a chance?"
Pretty sure if Mark's 'favoritism' is as subjective as you think it is they would've gotten him at least 4 solos starting from years ago. Not only utilizing him in various units which he enhances but doesn't benefit him alone.
Even in almost all of his featuring, he was asked to feature by the artists themselves, not SM, and he tried to accommodate them all because he likes and respects them.
I agree with Tiana that health should be the utmost priority and with Haechan having irreversible health issue due to overworking, I am do afraid that Mark, too, would drop. I hope he maintains his health. I have a feeling that these members might not have fully understood their own physical limitations and continue on through sheer determination. I just hope the company would take this more seriously when managing their work.

I agree with Ryan on this. When Liz has the least amount of lines she barely have screentime, yet when Wonyoung has the least lines, she still have many screentime.
