I can't find Ayinger Hell around here. The Hofbräu Original excellent though and very much like the Weihenstephaner Original Helles. Those and the Augestiner Edelstoff would be my preferred Helles beer. Only Augestiner Oktoberfest might beat them.
Having said that, I much prefer a Weizen though. I guess I'm a bit of a sweet tooth myself. Ayinger Bräuweisse is superb! Even better that the Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen, but also more difficult to find. But enough talk, thanks for these reviews. They give me plenty of thought on beers to compare. Cheers!

I like your channel, but when it comes to german beers you mostly try supermarket beer brands that are fairly common. Why not a Pinkus Spezial or a Dithmarscher Urtyp, for example?

I would assume this comes down to a few things.
      1. Mass appeal. If you've never heard of something, chances are you wont click to see what someone thinks about it. People are biased in a weird way when it comes to consuming entertainment.
      2. Availability. In Sweden, it can be exceedingly difficult to find "exotic" beers. A beer I wish I could get for a reasonable price here in Sweden would be Augustinerbräu Helles. I really like that one. But to get one, Id have to get 20, and 20 of them would cost 110 euros. Which is insane considering the cost in Germany.
EDIT: I should point out that "Exotic" in this case basically means anything that isn't in stock by the government owned liquor store (Systembolaget) over here.

      Thank you for the feedback!
I would love to try more beer from smaller, local breweries but as @Zizoor points out they are usually hard to come by in Sweden. You have travel down to Germany to buy the bottles - or/and preferably drink the beers fresh at the breweries, which is on my bucket list.
It's also true that people mostly want to watch videos with beers they can purchase themselves. But, if a beer makes a big enough impact on me I will make a video anyway.
Hopefully you can still enjoy my "supermarket" videos.
      Skål! 🍺

There are indeed very many breweries to choose from. One brewery I really like and have also not seen here would be "Berg" bergbrauerei. I understand you could get a million suggestions. I added one too now 😅

Not even within Germany you can get every beer everywhere, for a Swede that is virtually impossible, he would actually have to have people who send him bottles from regional breweries

Ahhhh... Ayinger. You treated yourself to some German Liquid Magic. I've said it before and again... Ayinger is a brewery which produces SOPHISTICATED beer(s). A big smile came to my handsome face (!^*&#$@%^) when you were "not so impressed" with the first taste of the Ayinger. I said to myself; "Just wait Daniel. The beer lesson is about to begin." And then it happened... the Ayinger or rather, your taste buds, rose to the occasion as did your appreciation for Ayinger's sophistication. As I will put it in my best American; "They ain't playin' around thems there fellas over at Ayinger". These are magicians more than brewers. And you comprehended the full beer lesson when you "agreed" the Hofbrau is for tourists. I am curious Daniel, if Ayinger beer is at a 25-30% price premium like it is here in Canada? Excellent video. Pitting 2 beers against each other is truly the best way to enjoy, compare, and appreciate the uniqueness of each beer. Thank you.

I would say it's about the same price point - except you can't buy just one bottle! You either have to order 20 of them through Systembolaget, or buy them from a German online shop I recently found - with added costs for taxes and shipment. So, pricy - but worth it!
