Thanks for the advice. I found her page already. and left her a msg. It won't be a bad Idea to be investing while working. So someone can get the house the dream for!!
Hi Kirsten, let me first say that your place is just amazing! I also live in a studio apartment and fully get how challenging things can be from time to time, ie storage ect. I live in Connecticut up in the northwest corner of the state. Although it is beautiful around here it's also very cold with lots of snow. I have to tell you Kirsten, you are definitely living my dream!! I have visited NYC quite a few times, also lived in upstate NY as a child. I would absolutely love to live in the city. No car necessary, and so much to do, and places to go. I would make the move in a heartbeat but it's just to expensive for me to live there. I work in the alcohol and substance abuse field, although the salary isn't bad, I would most definitely need to share with a roommate , I am well past that part of my life. So for now I will continue to enjoy watching you live (MY) dream!! LOL
Thanks so much! 😊 I've really been trying to find affordable pieces whenever possible because there are a couple of high ticket items I still need to purchase.
I love the tripod table and the coffee table, too! The marble pedestal looks good in the bedroom and the little sculpture on it is perfect - made for each other. Tile and stone are cut on a wet saw to keep the blade cool and dust to a minimum, so that’s why your marble was damp. 😊
Definately put the heavy coffee table books close to the center of the coffee table because it looks like it could tip over because of the spacing of the legs. And the tile is wet because they run it under water when it's cut.
Try the marble table in the bathroom, style it with a candle, plant or antique perfume bottles. Maybe try a sleek pole lamp next to the sofa. You need to sage again since your apartment had a water accident!
Oo I never considered moving the marble table to the bathroom. That might be a nice look! I was thinking about getting a second lamp too since I love a lot of light, but I haven't found the one just yet! Sage is coming haha
Lovely items and of course you have an AMAZING eye for decor. That marble table is absolutely beautiful!!! Love the coffee table and… So glad you didn’t puncture a pipe. Hope it’s not a major issue with your washing machine! Stay beautiful and I am SO anticipating all future videos. 🗽🗽🗽
Agree with everything you typed! First of all, it's a major big deal to have a w/d in your own home! I lived w/o that for a very long 8 going on 9 years! ..... buuuut that said you don't want it washing your floors for ya, Kirsten 😱 Good thing there was someone there right away to check the hoses, the drains, the faucets .... etc.
Kirsten! I am obsessed with your content -- I have a studio apartment and always find it so fun and interesting to see how others decorate their studio apartments. I found your older studio apartment tour and now am on a binging spree of your current moving vlogs! Your place is turning out great :)
Thank you! The washer is mostly fine, I'm not really sure what happened. The last cycle did release a few drops of water, but nothing close to that first puddle!
Great video! The marble table turned out nice. It looks like it could’ve fit nicely on the other side of the couch. Instead of end tables in used two sofa tables behind my couch, placed some lamps on either end and some books. I love Phillips hue lights. I have the Walmart brand in the lamps set to a timer so when I come home the home isn’t completely dark, and I love that they connect to my Alexa! It’s coming along nicely. I would’ve loved to see how the rug you previously had looked in the living room. It has the different shades of brown. I’m ordering it this weekend! West Elm is having a sale and I’m so excited. Your place is coming along well!💕
Yes! The lightbulbs are awesome!! I don't have them connected to Alexa but I have to find out if mine are capable of that. Aw yay, glad you're getting the rug! I'm sure you're going to love it. I would sell mine, but it got pretty used and I'm not sure it's in the best condition to sell.
Hi Kirsten so happy to see you.Girl you are a Jack of all trades😊.When I was your age it was hard for me to nail a nail in the wall to hang a picture 😆😆😆.Your place is going to be gorgeous. As always thank you for sharing 😘😘😘.
I have the same color wood coffee table and l use weiderman wood cleaner and its really good. I also have neutral sofa. I'm loving how beautifully everything is coming together.
You're definitely putting the Kirsten stamp on your place 😊 Glad the puddle wasn't you putting a hole in the water pipe! It may just have been a small leak from the filter, they happen sometimes. Removing and cleaning it regularly helps- you'll find it behind the little door on the bottom right of the washing machine! Love the shapely coffee table- btw, you can get wood scratch repair pens on Amazon!
Yay! Glad you think so! I feel like this apartment looks so different than the last. Looking forward to adding the final touches. I'm so relieved about the washer situation - you're probably right, I'll take a look!
So refreshing to see a new style coffee table! Love the shape so much! The marble column you made works great in your bedroom. Love the e 2 chairs and color of them wish you could work them into your decor ( maybe you still will?) wonderful style and taste. Thanks
Yes, I couldn't be happier with the new coffee table. I'm so glad I was able to make the marble side table work too! It definitely feels right in the bedroom. I love the chairs too! I might keep both or just one, but definitely won't be getting rid of both - they're too pretty!
Looking soo good!!! The marble table is 😍 Fabulous job! Get some wood pens for the scratches but also remember scuffs add character. 😉 Don't you love having your bedroom in another room now?! xx
Thank you!! Yes, thats true. And I actually really loved living in a studio, but now it does feel nice to be able to close my door at night and just relax 😌
The DIY project looks great! I think I will try to do this in my own home. It looks great by the bed. I have not experienced driving in NY but it sounds scary.
Great Job! Kirsten...Love the marble pedestal piece in the bedroom area too! As for the coffee table, sometimes the flaws on handmade wooden items is " au natural" & gives them "design character"! I personally love the table but if you don't, you could possibly cover those areas up later! Things are looking great though...As I've said before, I Love your design ideas a lot! See you in the next video!😍

It is a liquid scratch cover and you can get it for light wood or dark wood. I put it on a q tip and then blend it in with a cloth. I think it blends better then the pens for scratches on wood. Of course test it first underneath the coffee table.

Move to Brooklyn or queens if you want space. Why settle for a 200 sq/ft apartment in the city when the other boroughs can give you the same but 5x the same and probably in a safer neighborhood, but hey, what do I know.
That little marble end table turned out really well. I like the coffee table too.

Oh interesting, are you an artist or go to art school or something?
I'm not, just enjoyed experimenting here!
Kirsten Ashley Well I think you do an excellent job especially on that dresser and the paintings as well. Some people are just naturals Dot love your videos take care dear
Move to Brooklyn or queens if you want space. Why settle for a 200 sq/ft apartment in the city when the other boroughs can give you the same but 5x the same and probably in a safer neighborhood, but hey, what do I know.
Never said I lived in Manhattan 🙃 This apartment is almost 3x that size..
@@kirsten-ashley I was exaggerating, ofcourse it's not 200 sq/ft. Your place looks nice.
