I can attest to this. I fell into a deep depression during my younger years, and that's when I discovered this kind of music. Everything about Silent Hill has helped me get through life and it encouraged me to get where I am today.
Something horrible happen to me, it made me be more anxious and have depression. And it's kinda funny how I feel safe when I watch something relate to silent Hill, how I feel calm when I listen to the soundtrack, how happy the game, the music, even the first movie adaptation make me.
I lost my older brother some years ago, not exactly the same but the line that says "Pray for the children you lost along the way", dam it, it hits hard every time... yet I find myself listening to this awesomeness every so often, who knows, maybe is a way to deal with the pain of his lost.
Akira and Mary performed about 10 years ago at Japan Expo Paris and i won tickest for the meet and greet too. Mary was so so sweet ... but i didnt know what to say to Akira because i was so nervous being in front of him so i just got the photo and autograph and left without telling him how much his music means to me :,))))
@@eagle5818 Some people hate that PH is in there, also the two plot twist, I think the issue of the game is incomplete, they showed the asylum, and was so much better closer of the game. I hope Konami wil revisited this story, but the one created by Owaku.

I love this song. Not only its a perfect depiction of Silent Hill as this semi alive place that calls for broken people and traps them inside, but also as a stand alone song its really amazing. This song speaks me of ptsd, of having to go through to something horrible thanks to circumstances outside your control. Damage done to the flesh, damage done to the heart. And the worst part being how the cycle will continue, three mour souls fall unknowing that four more won't be all.
Its mixed a little too loudly. It should be supporting the vocal, but instead its competing. It may have been done on purpose if thats akira. To siginfy his importance to the composition and event. Im presuming it is given how much the camera is on him
I live in a relatively small city on the east coast of Canada, a local sci fi convention I was doing videography for had Mary Elizabeth as one of their guests. We got to hang out and chat a ton about music and her time working with all the Silent Hill teams through the years, she's such an unbelievably kind and enthusiastic person. She signed my guitar and sang a few bars of You're Not Here with me before she had to depart 🥲

Nah, that’s Downpour. This was at least a bit of creativity in its story and bosses. Downpour just felt empty all the way through.
