You know, that last point of not knowing Komaki techniques could have made it into the Yakuza 6 Dragon Reborn style, to which Komaki is MIA, meaning that they could have brought back certain techniques from the old Legend Style like the Iron Fist. However, for some reason you can still learn the Tiger Drop in Yakuza 6 without Komaki, which is weird as hell.

Hence, I wished the counters were different, which the parry is, but the heavy counter is not, maybe spice things up a bit. Besides, I think Tiger Drop is the only Komaki Technique in Yakuza 6, which is very strange (no, Kiwami 2 does not count, it’s a remake).
This mod is absolutely sick!!! I’ve gotta re-download on pc and see if I can play it! The repel looks so cool to do as well, I love games where you can parry/repel attacks, if only they had follow up heat actions as well

The damage you get is busted though so I guess you might just smacc bitches with beast bicycle and think that's all there is but as someone who's spent like 200 hours before using this mod, it was like a delicious cake and triple AAA just added the icing and decorated it
I installed the mod and it's really amazing and it worked for me. But every fight I get into I have to wait a few seconds for the moveset to work because during that waiting time the mod doesn't let me attack or grab.
The mod has to do that because it has to load stuff you do in combat. A funny workaround I found is pulling out a gun, shooting it, then switching back to your previous style.

This has to be the most substantial Rebalance mod I have seen so far. Almost every change makes sense to make the game flow better without making it too broken or unfair. The reworking of lesser used moves to give them more utility was a really good decision too since it would promote a more varied playstyle. The removal of some Heat-based restrictions was also good since it means you can still fight well even if you aren't chugging Tauriners left and right. And the new weapon styles and Heat Action combos? Just the cherries on top of an already amazing combat-filled cake.
I had a dream where sega found this video one day then just copy and pasted this mod into the actual game therefore making yakuza 0 the best yakuza game ever and everyone around the world rejoiced to form world peace
This looks really good. Though I'm not sure if I'm sold on Legend having all of Kiryu's Komaki techniques when he hasn't even met Komaki yet. Also do you think you'll make a version where some of the existing heat actions aren't changed? I don't mind the new heat actions you've added but some of the old ones you replaced the animation for just don't fit imo.
At this point, I'm ignoring continuity for the sake of Dragon being a more well-rounded style like it was in Y3-5. The vanilla game did it with Essence of Escape and Essence of Self Destruct (though this one might just be for convenience), which Kiryu doesn’t learn until Y3. I don't plan to make a version that reverts replacements for existing heat actions.

For instance, Ultimate Essence 88 can be shifted to the 5th style for Essence of the Dragon King/God in the OG.

Oda doing Tiger Drop is just some weirdness with a training dummy mod I'm using. Kiwami Style Heat Actions adds colored heat effects to vanilla heat actions. Brawler exclusive heat actions have blue effects, Rush has purple, etc.
For anyone wondering how to perform Asura Spirit on keyboard, the input is R + first person camera button (V by default).
