Thanks for this Rich...I've learned a few things...the mat guard tip, the drip bucket underneath & not shooting lube across the bike. I don't have a centre stand or other stand so I roll it along the ground which is a pain (I'm holding off getting a stand until I upgrade to a new bike some time in the future). I've heard that Kero in a spray bottle with an old toothbrush is just as good as the commercial cleaning products. My helmet mount arrived yesterday too! :)
@@ToeRingAdventures very nice if the thread size is the same for the bobbin mounts you can still get the paddock stand and bobbins just transfer them to the new bike

@@PubRunner suzuki intruder 250VL first bike...I think I'll 'grow out of it' I have my eye on a Kawasaki Vulcan for when I 'grow up' lol

@@ToeRingAdventures I started out wanting a Vulcan but ended up with a Himalayan… go figure. 🙂
Thank you! I think this will be my weekend job :)
It's pretty easy and it is an excuse to go for a ride or 2 ;-)
Lube your chain from the inside not the outside. The lube will not get flung out that easily this way.
Good tip thanks.
I think its a better idea to fit a chain oiler,, press a button job done... checkout the Loobman oiler
I like going through the process and taking it back to a clean chain. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
