    I have the NOCO GB40. Have had it for years and has worked flawlessly. Ive jumped my son’s car off so many times. I take it out camping for numerous things. All around great product.

      Yeah. My NOCO has always worked for me, it’s interesting because I get a ton of messages from people saying theirs doesn’t work.

    Great reviews. I've been using one of the Noco GB40s since about 2018 and have had very good service. It mostly gets used for lawnmowers, utvs and tractors but it has seen hundreds of starts and hasn't failed me. Mine actually has the little drawstring button on the bag. It lives on a shelf in my shop so the softcase isn't an issue for me.

      @@SimplyMustGo we went with the auxito. We don’t need the tire inflator for the Wrangler, but we’ll definitely carry this in my wife’s car on long trips.

    Thank you for this. I watched your video and got the NOCO GB40 to carry in my Jeep Wrangler. My batter died(it was expired and used) and I was able to find a jump but decided I wanted to be able to jump myself. Sorry I didn't use your discount code. It was because of your video that I choice the NOCO so I wanted to at least say thank you.

    I picked the GOOLOO GT 4000. I love it. I have run impact wrenchs, air compressor, and charged phonebatteries. Works good. Has internal heater for cold weather storage, like the trunk.

    I just got the GooLoo on sale for black Friday from Walmart. I think it's $38 and the perfect size for emergency use and Easy storage in the car. I don't have any trucks so I don't need the mega sized chargers. 1500 amps is enough for most 8 cylinder cars or smaller.

    TopDon for the win. Awesome unit and well worth the price. Used it a couple of times on my own vehicle without issue. I was able to buy the NOCO GB150 half price on one of Amazon's Deal days a couple of years ago. I have used this several times on my son's and grandson's vehicles. It has never let me down.

    Glad you didn't show the HOMPOW unit. Ordered once and it was DOA.
    Returned that one and went with the GooLoo unit.
    Which at least worked out of the box, most times. It's flaky tho. Sometimes takes a few minutes for it to figure out when to actually jump the vehicle. So if it's cold out, or raining, be prepared to get cold and wet.

      Good to know. I’ve never had that issue, but I’ve heard people having similar experiences with several brands.

    If your a radio control guy just use a 3 to 4 cell lipo with a end with alagator clips. You got the batterys, and. Carger so it only costs around $10.

    Many 1 star reviews on Amazon for the NOCO GB40, one of them is mine. Don't know if they are lacking in quality control or what their problem is. My fully charged ( according to the unit ) didn't even turn on the interior lights. Sent it back for the full refund.

    • @SimplyMustGo

      It’s weird. I hear a lot of comments from people saying the same thing. And I get lots telling me theirs has never let them down. Wonder if like you said there is a QC issue.

      That’s great. That’s sort of my point too. You don’t have to get the most expense ones. It’s way better to have a Walmart special than nothing at all!

    Had two Noco GB40s and one stopped completely charging; Batteries Plus said they're notorious for this so I got the GBX45 and it's been great. The second one just arrived at the "doesn't completely charge" state that its brother was; I'm considering one of your recommendations like the Auxito or GooLoo but I'm definitely not going back to Noco. Thanx for the insights!!

    • @SimplyMustGo
      @SimplyMustGo  3 місяці тому

      Yeah. The NoCo is my least favorite of the group. The Topdon has never let me down, both Auxito and Gooloo are good and both have air pump + jumper pack options now.

    • @nateroo

      @@SimplyMustGo Also considering the Topdon...I have a separate air pump I keep in the vehicle... the new jumper pack will be for my boat. Thanx huge for the review of these units... really helps a person make a decision and still have alternates.👍

      Haha. Thanks! Yeah it’s was weird to me to have them together, until my wife called from out of town saying her tire light was on and I reminded her she had an air pump in the car. Just have to make sure to charge it after so it’s good for a jump still.

    My take: get one thats not "smart" or full of nannies. I have a Gooloo and after 2 failed attempts it "locks itself out" for 10 minutes. Not very useful when your trying to get something started. Safety schmafety. Other than that its a solid unit.

    • @SimplyMustGo

      Yeah. Electronics that are too smart are often the worst. It’s just another point of failure.

    "Show and tell" is good, but a proper review is trying to start a frozen v8 truck at -30 f. No start = junk.

    • @SimplyMustGo
      @SimplyMustGo  2 місяці тому

      Well. I’m in South Carolina and getting to -30 degrees is pretty much impossible. So I’m pretty sure that’s not a realistic test. Pretty sure most people will never encounter a scenario where they have to jump a V8 truck and -30° weather.
