Just finished installing mine, thanks to your video, went for the wireless quadlock charger which works well although it's a pain to attach to the 3d printed holder! keep up the awesome content!
Hey thanks im glad it inspired you. I fancy trying the vibration quad lock mount. I took the day off yesterday and did some caterham related stuff. There should be some interesting videos dropping soon.
I also have a magnetic mount in the center of my steering wheel, in addition to the quadlock mount on the dash. I got the idea from a Japanese Caterham owner.
Hello! I love your videos, they are simple and interesting at the same time, great work! They also are understandable and clear (even for a français 🇫🇷)! I was wondering: have you ever driven a Westfield? If so, what do you think of them? Any chance you could prepare a video on that topic?
I’ve done something similar but 3D printed a mount to accept an Apple MagSafe charger. It holds it up magnetically and charges it at the same time. Also used the poppers as you’ve done. Might look into quad lock now though. In spirited driving the magnet alone isn’t enough
How did you press/fit these poppers inside this mount? I much prefer this than screwing the mount down. Could you do a video of this? Can we just araldite some poppers in the hole? 😂
What kind of mpg does your Caterham have, just been reading a Engine: 1.6-litre petrol 4-cyl Power output (bhp): 135 Top speed: 122mph Fuel economy (mpg): 57.6 if this is true I get a 1.6
Hi I dont know exactly, but it's alot better than you might think. This obviously depends how you drive and on a track day the mpg is obviously less. As Fern is so light this also helps with the mpg.
Hi I only use one type which is Avon ZZS. They work really well in the dry and the wet for road and track. You can get grippier tyres for summer / track but the ZZS have been fine for me. It will be interesting as Avon are going to stop making them I think, but there are other options.
Not seen these mount's before they look just the thing. Can't wait for the season to start.
Hi I think they work really well. Links are in the description. Yes it will be nice when the weather gets better.
The Quadlock was a game changer on my GBS Zero. It was amazing.
Hi they are ace aren't they. Really sturdy and great locking of the phone.
Another fantastic video James , so helpful and informing, love your content, please keep it coming 😁👍
Thanks more will be coming soon. Hopefully helpful and informative, but no guarantees 😂

Oh that sounds interesting I've not seen that. I think I would find it distracting on the steering wheel though.

Hi thank you. No I've never driven a Westfield. I think it would be quite interesting to drive some simular cars with the same power.

Hi quadlock is really good. I do fancy trying the vibration mount that they have to incorporate that into the mount. They also have charge options.
@@ACaterhamCalledFerninteresting. Vibration damper sounds ideal. I’ll have a look! Thanks!
@@MisterRaceCar no problem let me know if you end up using quad lock and what you think.
Love the popper idea, where did you get them?
Never mind. Found in the comments.
Hi sorry I've only just seen this. Glad you found your answer in the comments. If you have any questions just let me know.

Hey they are riveted in the mount.
Send me a message on FB or insta and I'll send you some pics of it.

Can you give a link for the poppers you used on the 3d printed mount please. Ta.
Hi I've bought a big pack from Redline Components. The best way is to email them your order.

@blodtv did you manage to source some and figure our how to fit them?
Not yet. My car’s booked in for its first service, so I’ll ask the dealer if they’ve got any.
@@blodtv let me know how you get on. I am interested how he pressed them im to this mount or if they were just glued
Hey the poppers are riveted on.
Hello,
What kind of foam are you using for the 3d printed phone holder? What is the thickness of this foam?
Thanks, Fred.
Hi it's the same foam that is on the nosecone where the bonnet rests. 2 layers of that.
@@ACaterhamCalledFern Thanks a lot for your fask reply
Do you change your tires from sommer til vinter or do you only use one type?
