Alec Steele Blacksmith 2019 - Розваги
lol, Will being Alec is one of the funniest things I have seen in a while.
heya guys learn "the truth about vaccines"
Ok the video got a like for Will
Right! I remember when he first started with Alec, he required a fair bit of cuts and edits. Now, he's a real natural.
And a bonus "The Office" reference too. 10/10 ad.
I definitely thought he was mocking Jamie at first
Will at the end with his try at an English accent, hilarious.
Ahahahah
I like will but for me it was a bit cringey, like whats with the stereotypical posh over pronounced accent lol when we do American accents we dont sound like the stereotypical western cowboys lol, as i said like will just cringe at the accent lol
It's nice to see that people can still have a sense of humor these days. And I think the reason why Americans try their hand at English accents the way they do is because to us that's the way they sound. Also some Americans do have their own accent that they pronounce words drawn out. Haven't you ever heard a deep South drawl? I'm curious though, when you say cowboy, what kind of accent does a cowboy have?
I really want a separate like button for that bit
@@ethandavies9039 oh come on man. Firstly that isn't true, the 'deep western' accent is one of the most popular I've heard people do when it comes to American, and second, have a laugh and move on
It has to be said that Jamie’s editing skills are superb, the way the soundtrack lines up with the hammer blows and all the little extras he adds. Quality work 👌🏼
Superior! I am trying to figure out how to do it. I think he is using speed ramps to align the blows to the music. I watch closely trying to gleam insight!
I thought the same the workflow rhythm was incredible
Yes! This.
if you can do frame selection and slide it around to line up just pick the frame you want and align it to the point in the music you want. I used to do these things in windows movie maker or wtvr it was called on my old laptop...before it died.
That hammer/music timing is awesome. I can't tell if it's super slick editing, or choice of song that happens to go with Alec's metronomic technique..
Either way, more evidence of just how good Jamie is
I agree
The videographer is really good at getting music that matches the hammer strikes. Alec also had really good tempo (makes for easier forging)
I found myself relaxing with every blow of the hammer and the music behind it. Very well done!
There were a few beats that have a couple fram shifts to keep it on beat but unless you're looking for it it goes by mostly unnoticed. Which lends to both Alecs hammer cadence and the editor's ability and music selection
Exactly what I was thinking. Alec can release a song remix collection. "Remixes by a man and his hammer."
Can we appreciate Jamie for sinking up the hammer blows to the music
Oooh ya
Always, always. Almost nothing sucks me into Forged Steele videos quicker than Jamie's superb editing. Well done as always.
Yessss
Was just gonna say the same myself... Brilliant
Absolutely! Some of the best editing on the tube. Strong work!
1:33
Alec sounds like the the forging Bob Ross
Dude your right!!
I've always said this about him lol
Alec doesn't make forging mistakes. Just happy little forging accidents.
,,Tell you hwat. We'll make a little punch over here. Just take your two inch punch aaaand *whoooop*. You gotta make those little noises, else it won't work"
"identity theft is not a joke"
im dead
Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!
Identity theft is not a joke, but mimicking your coworker's accent might just be.
Considering my bank got all their data stolen, nah not a joke :/
After buying gas in Hood River, Oregon (not self service), I apparently bought over $10k in airline tickets to the Dominican Republic, three different times. Thankfully, I wasn't on the hook for it, but in that case I don't think a VPN would have helped.
Top 10 Office references of all time!
The editing on these videos is seriously amazing. One of the many things that puts Alec far ahead of other channels
The timing for the background music and the forging (as well as the western sound for the music) was the most relaxing thing I've seen in a while. I didn't realize I needed that.
I always like when you make tongs, very riveting.
D H But sometimes the technique is hard to grasp!
If that’s sarcasm I agree, if not, cool, you like what you like.
“OW, my hand!”
@@Nevin82 its a little bit of both, definitely a play on words.
I suck at making tongs, so watching someone that can make then efficiently is cool.
😂😂😂👍
Shout out to the editor. Perfect sound mixing
Alec: "I know I've got plenty of these drifts...somewhere. But I can never find them, so I've always gotta make new ones anyway."
Me: "Didn't you have an episode about making a cart or stand to organize and carry just such things?"
bosk0ne He did, but he can't find it 🙂
@@sjv6598 he should make a new one
My thought was he should check the floor under his anvil... Since that's where that one went...
@@kevindamvorisbacon424 "Well, I lost a whole shelf and dozens of tools. Here's a six part series of me rebuilding them!"
How many takes were done before Will could keep a straight face through that? HILARIOUS!!
4:53 = So satisfying timing of music and hammer beats!
heya guys learn "the truth about vaccines"
Jamie killing it with the audio edit!
I agree im so glad he was able to continue with Alec.. if you look back when Alec came to Montana the editor he had was SOOOOO bad and the camera man was lousy also. it almost made you sick the way the camera waved around.. Jamie makes the delivery so enjoyable to watch. When I forge I keep wondering why the hammer blows don't sound so great and there is no music playing in the background. I do find myself trying to get a hammer tempo going.
That's Alec's house band, don't you know. They're called "Smart Alec's Bangers"
They wrote the tune based on the beat of the beating.
Nothing beats a good beating
heya guys learn "the truth about vaccines"
Oh! Jamie the synchronisation with the hammer blows to the music was so flawless it went unnoticed for me for a little while. Also loved Will's accent.
someone give Jamie an award. this forge editing is immaculate.
The synchronization of the music with the work during the montages is why I originally subbed to this channel and it brings joy to my heart you still do it.
Anybody else get incredibly anxious whenever he’s moving his fingers around the metal while it’s really hot
Yep!
I'd guess burns don't really hurt him anymore
I agree, it's really hot when he does that.
Probably the funniest sponsor read I've seen. Great content, great editing, hilarious ads. I'm a woodworker, not remotely a blacksmith, and I love your videos!!!
Loved the tongs, but Will's Alec impression was the highlight of the video by far!! 🤣🤣🤣
I have to say I love the match up between the beat and the hammer blows. Something special about it.
Editor guy did a amazing job timing the music with the action. Standing ovation for him!!!
That bottle opener with the caterpillar was really impressive looking
The editing was flawless this video. And that 2nd place leaf bottle opener is pretty frickin dope I must say. I do like how all three look completely different as well.
I love the way you describe your mistakes. It makes understanding the process flow much easier.
The sound of the hammer hitting hot metal in sync with the music. Excellent 👌.
Great video Alex! I love the detail at which you film the process, in the identity theft joke at the end was perfect 👌 But that Tally' Ho! Got me right on the funny bone 😂🤣
I’m really enjoying the slower pace and more detailed explanation in this episode.
That music and hammering combo was hypnotic and relaxing... Awesome
Omg!!! Will at the end was so funny. He sounded like he had a cold though. Lol
just listening to your hammer blows with the matched up music is literally is the most relaxing thing ever to watch
Kudos to the editor for getting the best of the music in time with the hammer blows
There is something unbelievably satifying about the hammer strike with the beat of that music. Really want to get into forging but have no funds to do so.
Forging that tong blank is just a wave of nostalgia
Every time I watch one of your vids I'm reminded just how amazing your editor is. That music to hammer timing is incredible.
I love it when Alec slips back into instructor mode :-D
Editing is excellent. Jamie deserves a raise.
You explaining how you make it is super helpful, the way you tell us about what part of the anvil does what is really helpful to a beginner or someone wanting to get into the craft, thank you.
Love from up north 🇨🇦♥️
Will"s impersonation, just brilliant !
I love the 2nd place winning bottle opener. Such a cool idea!!
The beat matching on the music with the hammer blows is just 👍🏼
Will just killed it with the british accent! Splendid, marvellous! Giddyup!
The best part of the video was watching Will imitating you Alec! You guys make my day!
That ad for Nord VPN! I've seen SO many in-video ads like this for their service and I can honestly say that this one actually made me want to get it despite not having a personal need for it. The Office homage was perfect X)
Can't believe how easy you made that look. Unbelievable talent 🙏
I watch all your videos but i rarely comment but i like the way you explain the process step by step.
and how the finished product turns out, so thank you for the time and effort you put in .cheers.
I miss this style of video it reminds me of when you were back in the containers in England nice and informative learning centred I'm not just watching you make stuff your teaching me to make stuff again it's great 😊
6:15 Loved it when camera zoomed out just in case Alec hits himself again :D
I don’t usually skip the sponsor bits in your videos. But the one at the end was great 😊
That's why I watch the Alec Steele channel.. to see steel being moved, oh and Will popping in at the end TALLY HO! 😂😂😂
Hahaha, best Sponsor bit yet.
Love the time scroll at the bottom during the ad. Made me watch it.
Fantastically edited episode and so nice to see Alec hand forging again. And Will.... LOL. Nice acting chops.
I just want to say I do appreciate the editors syncing the hits with the beats, makes it much more enjoyable to watch.
I really enjoy these little projects. They're relaxing for the brain and of course, the hosts are awesome!
Plus super informative
I loved the office quote at the end
I wish I could take part. I used to do a little bit of blacksmithing and hot forging copper and precious metals. Had to give it up due both to developing severe heat sensitivity and and inability to use things like a hammer repetitively due to a joint condition. I wasn't great but I miss it.
The hammer strikes synced with the music is just a whole new level of production 👍
It’s been like that for ages. The production is amazing.
LOVE WHEN YOU MAKE THE SPONSOR PARTS FUNNY.
Glad to see the shop back up and running
How does Jamie consistently find music that matches the beat of Alec's hammer blows? it's so satisfying
Great video, love the music with the hammer accompaniment. Excellent video editing. Will’s impersonation was hilarious!
I am impressed Alec, a massive improvement from your past videos... Not that your other vids suck, quite the contrary... This vid was just that much better!!!!
The syncopation with the audio and video is wonderful.
I haven't watched a whole Nord plug in a while. Will is my hero
Im liking cause the tongs were great, and Wills Alec impersonation was fantastic 👌👌
Loved the edit, the tie in with the music was a thing of beauty. Great job!!!
I really love how the hits are synced up with the music. I'm never gonna get tired of that.
Love getting back to the basics!
I wish I could come work with you guys so much. I've played with black smithing, there's something so satisfying about turning steel into butter and bending it into submission 😁
Wonderful production quality. Beautiful editing.
Love the rythmic editing on this one a lot! Great job Jamie!!
A+
Posh Will is the absolute best bit you guys have done!
Gotta say I loved the edit! The rhythm of the work flow in this video was masterful.
It's actually a great idea the drifted tongs ajustments. I'm buying it! Merci!
Love the rhythmic sound of the hammer
I’m reminded of an old Lorne Elliot routine… “The problem with DIY is that you need tools, and sometimes you need to modify a tool, then making tools to make tools, and before you know it, you’re in the back-yard chipping flint…”
I love the timing of music with hammer blows!
The ending sponsor bit was amazing.
"Flexibility, freedom and Security in my new Empire" ~Darth Steele
I wanna see him forge a spoon and idk why
why spoon? i want to see a ladle!
Full dining set
@@stetoin49 Why a full dining set and not a full kitchen.
Entire housing unit.
chocolate operator just that way they will have something to eat with next time they throw meat on a bit of hot steel
Very cool choice of music. The drums aligned with hammer blows... Love it
The first 5 minutes I'm hammering is edited perfectly to the beat of the music....well done
Props to your editor as always, these videos are always so well done and the audio matching with the hammer blows... 👌🏼
Absolutly incredible how well the hammer blows fit to the musik drops... nice work eddeting team
Great learning from someone so passionate about there Trade. The music timed perfectly found myself lost in the moment.
Such a fun video! Great editing and content... And Will at the end was 👌🤣
I really enjoy the teaching vids the most.
these are quickly becoming my favorite alec steele segments. just really cool to watch and learn.
I guess I lucked out when I bought my forge at auction from the school I work at. I got about 15 pairs of tongs including these. Glad I don’t have to try to make that I’m too new lol. I’m also too new to be thinking about a touch mark stamp.
Also hold crap Will! That Alec impression lmao!
Loved Wil at the end!
The cinematography is extraordinary. Also you should make some wolf jaw tongs!
Just started to watch your channel and absolutely loving it. You sounded so familiar so I did some research and you're originally from Norfolk! What a small world. Love your work!
Really liked the music on this one... well done.
The forging is cool and all, but matching those hits up with the music is just 👌
Yo, the editing on this video was incredible. Well done!
Awesome! Way to get people involved!
That was absolutely brilliant!
