They will never know how much their music has helped me as well. I've been sober for almost 6 years and there's not a day that goes by that I don't crank them and never think about a bottle anymore. They truly are the best!

This song brings me to to tears like may other shinedown songs because for me it's about my wife. She has a chronic illness and is bed ridden, we have 3 young daughters and everything is on my shoulders to take care of us and we have lost most of our friends and family because of it so the line "it's amazing what the hard times can reveal like who shows up, who walks away and who's for real" is true. I try and always make sure she sees the daylight for us both. Thank you guys for that.

I was lucky enough to see them perform Daylight live before the album dropped and fell in love with it immediately. I could see Shinedown every month, at least, and still not get enough of their music and awesome show. I can't wait for the new concert video!!
Me too!! Hershey, PA. I loved it the first time hearing it. Some songs (in general) have to grow on you. Daylight grabs you and pulls you in just listening to the first chorus! It just has a sound that makes you want to sing, makes you happy. 😊🥰
Really lucky you, I was looking forward to seeing Shinedown in November in Italy but they have canceled all the European tour, except for UK (hard to understand). This is so sad.

@@mikesgirl1988 The meaning of faith is often twisted into something it wasn't meant to be. There is but ONE who when provided that faith can provide an answer at all times without fail. It is never easy, I raised two children entirely on my own after their mother took off on us. I wanted to die... I had to claw my way out, and slowly release the resentment and hatred until I was free. Remember that happiness is an unattainable abstract without first finding contentment and accepting who you are inside. Life is 10% what happens and 90% how we react to it. My acceptance of these facts helped me break on through.
Amen to that! I thank God for Shinedown! They helped me through a divorce and everything since. They are truly encouraging and I can’t even imagine how many lives they have saved with their music. ❤️
Shinedown has saved me. Ive had an extremely rough past almost 10 years and Shinedown has helped me always see the daylight through all of my darkest moments. I finally got to see them live at WIIL Rock Fest this year, I was right in the front row with my wheelchair so I got to see and hear everything perfectly. I was bawling while singing as loud as I could. I'll follow them down to the end. I know anytime they are playing near me I WILL be there, I could watch them play over and over again they're that amazing. I can honestly say Shinedown saved my life and continues to do so everyday.
After watching the video: I saw them perform with Jelly Roll who is another artist who's music has helped saved my life. I am SO glad that they included him in the video! Shinedown (and Jelly Roll) will save my life for as long as I live.

Their music helped me through a near fatal car accident, losing my leg, losing 3 of my grandparents, the ending of a 5 year relationship, and much more in the last few years. Next time they come by me again I will definitely be getting the vip package so I can finally meet them, the way Brent spoke to the crowd pretty much had me in tears the whole time I was so overwhelmed with emotions ❤️ also yes jelly roll came out and did simple man and it was amazing 😁 Life definitely would not be the same without either of them that's a fact!
My hubby and I have been married for 26 years. About 7 years ago he developed a seizure disorder. He has grand mals in his sleep a lot. I have saved his life multiple times while he was sleeping. This song hits home hard! He sent this song to me about a year ago and we listen to it daily. We have a hard time sharing our feelings so we send songs to each other throughout the day. That’s our way of letting each other know how

This song called, DAYLIGHT, from SHINDOWN, has me ponder my life of 71 years and makes me realize that without the love of my God and Lord Savior that I would not have survived this long ... that he will ALWAYS be there for me regardless of where I may have fallen ... I've seen Shinedown live now 6 times since 2006, and they never fail to impress, they put on a great show and always sound just like their albums live! Thank you Shinedown for always being real, so many of your songs have really got me through a lot over these years, thank you for helping me see the "Daylight"

😂 To me it's completely the opposite. The Album version gives me so much more, because there are no guitar elements which makes it even more special. Guess they added this here for the live factor, but I really think this makes the Song worse.🙊

I don't think there's another band like Shinedown! They bring such emotion with their songs. I listen to their music, I hear the lyrics & I can relate! From what I can see from comments, others relate also. They always give such inspirational messages & altho I love the songs I feel like crying a lot of the times. It must be that emotion I mentioned. No other band makes me feel their music like this. Each one of these guys must be special to be able to create & bring us this kind of music. I'm 67 & Shinedown is now my favorite band. Thank you guys!💖💖💖
I'm 70 and have heard this song on and off for over a year, but today I chased the song down and you are right, this song is deep, loving it.
I stumbled onto this song while sitting on the couch. I lost my son to cancer at the age of 13, 2 years later I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. I figured and actually hoped that would be the end for me and I would go to be with my son. My wife kept me alive "Not once but twice". I wanted to die after losing my son and then almost died from Cancer myself losing 40lbs in 1 month. This song literally blew my mind as it perfectly embodied the actual support my wife showed me, which proved to me I still had purpose here on earth. My purpose was to protect her at all costs. I lost all emotional control and my wife, who was sitting next to me (I had Headphones on) asked "are you ok" I handed her the headphones and said "It's you" she cried I cried and it was a beautiful moment that sparked a wonderful conversation about my love for her.

If Covid 19 2020 has taught me anything it is this: to live life to the fullest, to not take it for granted and to celebrate each and everyday as if it were your last. It also taught me to cherish everyone in my life fully and wholeheartedly. To let them know how much they mean to me. Tell them everyday I love them. Let them know that they have saved my life and have been my daylight on the days that were too dark to see the sun. I love this song so much! It means so much to me! Thank you Shinedown! I'm not crying, you're crying! Shinedown has been one of my favorites since they burst onto the scene 20 years ago. Have seen them twice, and they never fail to give you an epic performance. This band has so many ways to uplift your spirits, and punch the hard times in the face. They use their platform for so much good, and the fans, that's family right there. I lost my daughter in 2016. Every day is a struggle. If I wake...seeing the daylight is a blessing. We have had many leave us and lacked support. This song epitomizes what my wife and I have gone through. Losing so called friends and best friends. But we are still here. And this message greatly helps!
I'm sorry for your loss. As a father of a 5 year old boy, I hope I never have to understand that pain. You'll always have somebody there for you. Friends, and even family sometimes, come and go. But - there will ALWAYS be somebody there to help, even if it's just a stranger on the internet. Never forget that brother.
Greg my husband & I lost our two young adult son's tragically & unexpectedly. Jake 2019 & DJ just 8 months later in 2020. We also lost almost all of our "so-called" friends & what we thought were close family members too. I have seen some of my darkest days since Sept 7th 2019 & still struggle every day to see the daylight. Shinedown is amazing. Touching our soul & giving comfort & they don't even know us. I’ve lost my dad to mental illness and several other friends and I wish I could have helped them see the daylight. This song came on the radio today as I was driving to a good friends celebration of life and it broke me. It’s so beautiful. I don’t know your music but hearing this made me an instant fan. I suffer from a chronic sleep disorder. Most days are hard due to extreme exhaustion. Suicide ideation is a constant demon I fight and this song helps me remember that there are other people out there like me and if they can keep fighting then so can I.

My dad was critically injured in a house fire in Feb. 2011. My kids are here because of him. He used to be my daylight. We lost him on my autistic son's birthday, 6 months and one day after losing my son's father to an addiction no one knew he had. It's been a long and very dark road and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my kids. Everyday's a battle against myself, but my kids are my daylight. The fight continues. Keep fighting.🖤🖤🖤

You have no idea how this song effects my heart. Being a 70 yr old who's been in many scenarios that fit this song raising children and grandchildren and referring this song to them. You're definitely on the top of my list. Thank you, Shinedown.
This song brings me to tears. My husband passed away May 2012 and so many people, including family just told me to suck it up and get over it and started to treat me like I was wrong in grieving, which I'm still doing. I'm lonely. I miss everything about my husband, including his snoring. It's amazing how easy and quick it is for people to turn on you when times are bad. Just when you need people the most, is when they turn venomous. Thankfully my best friend has been there for me for the past 8 years. He and I met in 4th grade, kept in touch off and on after he moved away during h s., then 8 years ago, he came back into my life. He's saved me from losing myself completely. He was able to bring me partially out of that deep dark hole of despair. He let's me cry to him, talk to him about my husband, all of it. That's what a true friend is all about.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my angel daughter Monique to cancer. It's strange how people change or say they'll be there for you then go MIA. It's sad situations like this show who your true friends are. For me The Crow & the Butterfly and How do you Love are the songs that remind me of my daughter the most. They're probably more but I can't think of them all. I love the way they sing its more like his soul is singing if that makes sense.

I went through a very rough time with depression. I left my wife, ignored my family, got fired from a couple of jobs. I was in the darkest of darkness. I wanted to end my life and make it all go away. My wife never gave up on me. She never walked away, she's for real. She literally saved my life. If I could write a song about my experience and a tribute to her it would be word for word Daylight. I can't sing at all, but one day when I can get through the song without crying I'm going to sing it to her. Thank you so much for such an incredible song and message hope. You have no idea how much it means to me. THANKS!

I don’t think I can narrate what this song will mean to you or even to myself. These guys are true artists. I’m never short of amazed by them. I feel that they read every one of our journals and write scripture over them. Take this however you want to take it, just make sure you take it.
I WAS THERE!!!! My very 1st Shinedown concert in The Woodlands. Packed with all the feels my heart could have. This song though 💕 is EVERYTHING!!!! ....Like most of their songs. Shinedown music brings healing to my soul ❤️
I was gonna say, didn't they show some clips from their Woodlands concert? I thought I recognized the area. My dad was there, and I was doing a band practice, but man, I wish I could have been there. He got me hooked on their Planet Zero album, and I can't stop listening!

I’ve been following this band since their first Leave a Whisper album when they played at Penn’s Peak. They never disappoint. Seeing them evolve over the years has been impressive to say the least. This isn’t good bye, this is till next time.

A good friend and police officer went through one of the roughest patches of his life. First losing his wife to cancer, then his sister to suicide and another unfortunate event. I found this song yesterday because ever since then, we do a "buddy check in" on each other twice per day.

I cant even put into words how much I love this band. I've been listening to them my entire life and their music has helped me through so much in my life. I almost took my life 2 years ago and struggled with self harm, months later I saw them live for the first time as my first ever concert and I cried when they played this song.
I just want to say thank you for saving my life . I lost my mom in Feb 2020, Valentine's Day. Lost my brother who was a Captain in the Air Force the day before Easter 2021, 2½ months later, lost another brother. This one was the day after my little brother's birthday and the day before Father's Day. This song has saved me so much! They freaking nailed it!

I heard this the first time at Thunder Beach back in October. I’m 18 and I’ve heard every Shinedown song since I was in the womb. Their songs saved my life on multiple occasions when I really saw no other way out. I was less than 10ft away from them at thunder beach, backstage. And I helped set up their stage and break it down. Even got to touch Cappy’s chair.
A part of me wishes I had the chance to tell them how much they changed my life. How many times they saved me.

I was so lucky to see them live last May for birthday with my wife who saved my life after losing my mom & Shinedown performed this before their release !!

My ex was pregnant at the time and moved to Utah, I lost my home cuz I couldn't afford it on my own. I was living in my car and in the darkest place I've ever been. I lost my concert buddy last year when my son died in an accident. Our favorite band to see was Shinedown! I had not cried in a couple months but watching this video started the tears.... We would have been at the Darien Lake show and some of the video was filmed there. When I first heard this song I thought of him. What a wonderful video...
