Shinedown probably has a catalog of songs that have never been released. Brent is a genius when it comes to writing music. Watched him battle his demons here in Jacksonville Florida. Nothing but respect for him.
As soon as they did a Hurricane Katrina benefit concert at #freebirdlive at Jacksonville Beach with only like a 8 song set list, I told myself then well Randy you won't be seeing these guys once a month which happened several times in the beginning, then they played about 3 out of 10 festivals that #planet #radio promoted. Then it was off and running for #SD headed for the stratosphere. Have caught them twice since the so called pandemic was declared over. Saint Augustine Amphitheatre & The VyStar Jacksonville Memorial Arena.
Just posted on FB how I’ve avoided as many of these as possible in hopes of sitting down and listening someday. Got the chance to meet Brent and Barry this year at separate shows. Incredible humans and inspirations giving hope to others battling their own demons. Choose to be a light instead of a shadow!
Brent recently said in a concert that EVERY shinedown song that gets released is what the band sees as a feature quality song, and that they refuse to release songs that don’t fit that description. With that being said, there’s no telling how many amazing songs Brent has written and not released

Sat under a streetlight didn't know the house she was staying at but I went down the alley and I could feel her and I couldn't walk away and i texted her that I just wanted a hug. Ig she hadn't been getting my texts. And as the fireworks on the video went off, she ran down the backsteps and hugged me. Who couldn't absolutely love shinedown???

See, they all come up. Monsters, Black Cadillac, Second Chance, Sound of Madness, I'm Not Alright, Hope, Symptom of Being Human, I can go on and on. But where and how did you find this bonus track. I have never seen it listed ANYWHERE. So kudos!!
I sob every time I hear this. It describes how I felt when I was with my mom when she passed from this earth. I would have given anything to keep her, but her suffering was too great. I just wanted her to open her eyes and see me. Fluorescent lights are a trigger for me as our child was born with two rare syndromes and spends too much time in the hospital. Then when my mom passed the buzz was so anxiety inducing for me. I hate them now. Shinedown has this way of reaching inside, opening up your heart and soul and expressing all your emotions in a way you can’t, or bring up ones you didn’t know you had. Love this band. They are literally a lifeline for our family. Our teen met them for their Make A Wish. Worth every moment.❤

I am a big Shinedown fan, but I honestly didn't know the existence of this awesome track! I would bet that it derives from "Amaryllis" (not from "Threat To Survival"), because it has a strong Amaryllis-esque vibe. Be that as it may, it's a wonderful power ballad which showcases Brent Smith's astonishing voice! 😊🎤🎧🎵🎶

I lost my little boy because I honestly lost my mind and tried to end my life and I hate myself for that he needed me and I couldn't get out of my depression enough to live I am trying so hard but it's not easy and no I'm not going to stop trying but God I wish something could pull me out of this dark whole....
