      @@b4ds33d lol no, actually for not over salting things weirdly. If you dry brine a steak with table salt, it'll be over salted. If you do it with Kosher, it helps bring out the flavors without making it too salty. Try a pinch of kosher salt on fruit and you'll see it actually makes it sweeter not salty

    This is mildly helpful. But for those of us who regularly subscribe to your box o' meats what I would really really really like to see is the videos organized into playlists by meat selection. One of beef, one of seafood, one of chicken, one of pork...etc because then it is so much faster to find the recipes for the piece of met I'm dethawing for tonights meal. TIA!

    • @b4ds33d
      @b4ds33d 3 роки тому +2

      They are arranged by the type of meat in the title, if you need more for you done than that, you probably shouldn’t legally operate a fire making device, or vehicle.

    Do you keep the temperature on the stove at medium-high the whole time?
    Which temperature did you set your stove at?

    • @ButcherBox
      @ButcherBox  5 років тому +6

      Thanks for your question! Medium high the whole time. On the Thermador cook top, 7.5 out of 10. If things start to burn, drop it slightly, but typically medium high is just right for staying hot enough to sear from frozen without burning.

      Go with the smoked. Its not hot as many mistakenly assume. It has a fantastic smokey rich flavor but not like a liquid smoke flavor. So much better. Basic or sweet paprika is mostly for decoration. There is Hungarian hot paprika also, but with meat, go smoked. Yum!

    I find the quality much better, delivery and packaging much better, and overall taste much better with frankiefreerangemeat.com with basically same price. not too mention guy is funny as hell and has his own youtube channel at frank tufano. check him out. many times butcher box will send meat that is already thawed and seals are broken...and with top sirloin in particular you can tell frankies meat is much higher quality with more marble, fat, and the darkness of the meat letting me know the animal was not just vegetarian fed (which could just be corn fed) but grass fed.

    I tried butcher box and after 10 day waiting on my meat to arrive, they contacted me and gave me a refund. They shipped by FedEx, and FedEx is unreliable in my area. We asked them to reship by ups but they said that fed ex was the shipper to my area and refused. I wouldn't bother with them. They would not work with us.
