This is a great way to start, then you only need to polish occasionally down the road. There are a few sealants out there that last up to a year but the polishing is so easy I just polish them every 6 months or so. Great job man👍
I do the same thing, turns out great every time. I just never reapply wax or sealant so I need to do it every 6 months or so. But only takes about 5 minutes so who cares, lol 🍻
Going to try this as well! Ive tried bunch of different ways even got suckered into the off bugspray method! Save your biceps is all i can say! Ha! Mothers products are great ! I have one of those clay bars for paint and it works amazingly good just don’t ever drop it!
That's one way to do it, if on a budget though the turtle wax headlight restoration kit is only $10 and gets very close to the same result and also comes with a sealant
They look nice yours didn't look to bad I think with the 1000 plus cutting and polishing it was good I have done my self real bad starting with 320 to 2500 sand paper with nice results to even one time it was to rough the 180 have to be used to remove all the yellow from the lens
Good to use a uv protectant after the polish too! The way it was explained to me is the factory uv protectant wears off because its only a surface coating. Once this happens the uvs start to cloud the lens from the outside in! Once it gets into the plastic material so far, no amount of sanding or polish is going to do any good although it helps if you do it regularly! You can prolong the life of your lens a little more though if you keep uv coating on it but eventually even doing that its done and time to replace it! Those headlight restorer guys are mostly just ripping people off leading them to believe they can remedy the cloudiness! A little wet dry paper some polish and a Good uv coating is your best bet!

Thanks! I can’t find replacements for mine, so this seems like an excellent solution 😃
Riley very good result 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job. 👍. I use mothers aluminum polish with a buffer no sanding required

Absolutely the easiest method with the quickest results.
@@jaycee1373 agreed man, no more wasting time, more time for a cold 🍻 and sitting back and admiring the final results!
Gotta try that on the next restoration 🤝
