Had no idea what that part was called. Just searched up green lever under Audi a3 lol, thanks dude! Makes sense why my light was randomly shining to the ground when I started to drive at night. I hit a big pothole that day. Probably broke because of that. Thanks once again man, I thought I had to buy something, very smart of you to just drill a hole, doing the same thing tomorrow!
Thank you for confirming my suspicions LOL when I post a video I try to tag it so it's searchable for people like me who don't always know the names of parts. Thanks for watching and glad it helped
That video was great, I actually changed out the unit and fitted a new one but the light is still coming on, on the dash is there any way of clearing that thanks
Hi, do you know if cars have one front and one rear headlight adjuster? My car needs a rear one, and when I search on eBay for a replacement, I only seen to be able to find left hand side adjusters. My cars an Audi A4 Avant 2012.
My front one broke the plastic thing on the sensors snapped do u know if i can get a replacement the back one the bracket rusted away making a new one and I will replace both tie rods
I would just punch the part number for the front one into either Google or eBay, being that these cars are built on shared platforms hardly any of the parts are rare or too expensive. Sounds like a good plan
Bro I used cloth hanger. The metal one and tied it like it’s holding an engine lol. It worked but I wouldn’t recommend it, the car gets confused sometimes. Btw (Porsche Cayenne 2008)
I have a 2009 8p s3 with the d3s HID's - I see you posted part numbers for all 4 - is there 4 of these? I know my rear left is broken, but is there one on each side and on the front as well? Not in front of the car, but have ordered some new bulbs to replace the fading HID's and figured I should do it at the same time. Not sure if there is these sensors on the front (and if so, why??) haha. thanks in advance!
There's a good chance your car only has two, for the 8V's it depended on what suspension you had. The best way is to just get under there and look, Honestly though if everything is working I wouldn't mess with it.
Today went to mechanic he changed my wheels after this incident I got AFS ERROR , probably they broke this sensor, is this possible? AFS and cornering lights error, but lights works , this could be reason?
I have a passat got into an accident and then i got the mssg and light for afs and the reverse camera is not working (the camera opens up but no images) also the car has since been repaired but the garage cant seem to find the solution. I want to identify if the accident is related to the afs issue before i can take the car to Volkswagen so that i can reclaim the cost from my insurance
@@96ej the shock was at the front left side I had the headlight broken, bumper lightly damaged, one radar detector broken and a bent front left wing. The AFS light came up a month after the shock for like a week it disappeared then reappeared and since it is permanent even with the repairs done, I asked the garage who did the repair and they have been playing blame game's that I have an electric problem but it did not exist before the accident and everything was functioning normal. Note we had rains during the period the car was waiting to be repaired
If I get a few minutes this weekend I'll get under there and look but as far as I remember it's only two wires and I would say it's normally closed because I believe level sensor is nothing more than a potentiometer
@@AndyNuberg is your car halogen or Xenon? Without seeing it it's kind of like just shooting fish in a barrel but your next step would be to look at the connectors and see if they're burning up, check to see if you're getting power at the ballast if you have xenon lights, check all fuses/relays, the headlight switch itself may be bad which on some models is super easy to change and rule out. If you have vcds or something similar or have access to it from a friend or something it never hurts to give your car a scan either
great video, wish more content creators were this quick and direct to the issue, thank you.

Really kind of depends on the suspension and headlight package of your car, there's a good chance you only have a rear one.
@@96ej thankyou! I have a feeling it’s only one by the way it been written on my mot sheet too.

ahh just realised those part numbers are for the 8v anyway

it's possible but not likely, there's no reason he/she would need to mess with this for a simple wheel change
so you just put a bolt in it to make it hold?
Yep
You can also get new ones on eBay for about 30 bucks but at the time I broke this those weren't a thing at least not that I could find

If you got rear-ended I would imagine that you might have broken a wire in the trunk somewhere, or it put tension on the harness and caused a fault

Ford Mondeo MK5 my dynamics lights don't do the self leveling thing at start up and won't turn in curves, could this be the same issue?
It would be a super simple place to start looking
It broke on my 3rd time too LOL!!! thanks

Remember remember the 5th of November
Talk less show more. How to disconnect plug. Is it front or only rear.
You're right sometimes I have a lot of lung, on my car it's only the rear but if you have DCC or mag ride you probably have one on the front as well
