I got mine before you guys started carrying them and it's been fantastic. Out of an entire 2 gallon batch you usually get around 3/4ths of a gallon at 40% ABV after dillution if using turbo yeast and your wash is at a 20% ABV or higher. I usually throw out the first 1 US Fluid Ounce (30 ML's) and collect 1 US quart at 32 Fluid Ounces (946 ML's) which is usually at 110 proof or higher and I disgard the rest. After that, I use a zero water filter pitcher to filter my spirit after dillution. After it's been filtered, it still retains the alcohol but it's extremely smooth and easy to drink.
literally nothing. and depending on the model of "water distiller" you have you may have more granular controls with temperature. The Still Spirits Air Still has a single on/off button. My Vevor, that I only paid $90 for on amazon has the ability to adjust the temperature so dialing in the runs is a bit easier than just "let er rip" mode.
I found the water ones run a bigger element, and the condenser may not keep up. I use a fan speed controller on the element and plug the top directly into the mains. I like the fast warm up speed and reduce the power to the element when first drips start.
You could put a silicon tube in the distiller output and run it through a bowl of ice water before getting to the catch jar if you're worried about the condenser not keeping up and alcohol getting wasted

How do you clean the tubes in the cooling vanes?
you could do a citric acid run... or maybe use a flexible bore snake that you would use for a .22 rifle.
There's rust inside the tubes and at the edges of the nozzle. How do you remove it?

I did a sugar wash how long do I run the distiller on 195 F
What is different with this one? our water distiller looks exactly like this one. ours says H20 labs but, they are identical.

Not to be a buzz kill, but i just bought one of these on Amazon, but labeled as a water distiller, and it was only $30
It probably doesn't have a temperature control and will get hotter than you want.
May I use this to distill vinegars?
Do u need to take off heads and how much
Is it possible to go blind?
no like the old days
this is 4-5lt still st u toss out 80ml from the start
stillit --- is a good utube chan to watch
No - sugar and yeast can NOT make Methanol.. It is impossible.. If you add apples, or fruit- then it could be minimal
Is so smart to destill at 60%? Seems dangerous.. I would delute it to 40 with destilled water, then do 2nd run.. Much safer, same result
😂😂
