I don’t have an info button on my Phillips tv and because it’s an oled tv I cannot watch Netflix for over 1 minute because of these letters it goes to screensaver every minute! Arghhh its driving me nuts! Tried Every button and close tv and restart , nothing works 😫😭 anybody knows what to do ?? 🥺
I’m watching Netflix past the time limit so I thought my dad found out a way to try to block Netflix even though you can watch Netflix past the time limit because you’re already signed in. Thank God I’m able to get rid of the time laps thingy 😂

For some reason this does not work on my Sharp Roku Smart TV. When I hit the asterisk button it just opens the audio menu where a taking the display down is not an option. Additionally if I try to use the Netflix Options, it just changes the audio or adds actual subtitles.
If you have a Samsung smart tv and there isnt any info or option button on your remote control, just press the “123colorspots” button two times to reach the color settings menu and then choose the info icon on the left side. thats all
*It has nothing to do with your chromecast or roku devices and everything to do with your TV. For example, I have a Sony TV so you fix it with your Sony tv remote control and not your chrome cast remote. If you don’t have an info button, try display or some other similar button. You should have it.*
I figured it out for Roku. You play whatever you are looking at from the beginning. Hit play from beginning. When it starts playing just hit the * button and it will go away. Boom. I sat through a whole movie with that stupid thing up there! I thought it was some kind of indie film stamp! lol

For those with *TCL ROKU* What works is to turn the tv off and unplug the tv from the power source. Then turn back on and it should be fixed.

On some Sony remotes it’s the “display” button on the bottom right of the remote.

If you press the asterisk button on the Netflix User screen, like where you pick who is using Netflix, it will then go away! Trial and error! Lolol
