Try poker online yourself! goo.gl/mVl8iU Phil Laak and Luke Schwartz are at it again! What is it with these two? They can't seem to stay out of pots together.
if its poor etiquette from someone, is from Schwartz. Laak paid to see Luke's hand, when he gets called he should inmediately turn over his hand instead of all that crap "if u got jacks ur good etc..."
In another video, Tony G made the same claim, and the whole table assaulted him for bad poker etiquette. I'm with you though, if you bet, you need to show because I paid to see them.
@@basedbear1605Nah - in that instance Tony tabled his hand and Mercier mucked, then Tony asked for the cards to be turned over. Here Laak is asking for Schwarz to show his cards first - there's a difference
Have to say I actually like Schwartz. He might be hot tempered, loud and a showboat but seldom abusive. Rather entertaining to listen to/watch. Not like Phil H who gets abusive at times of anger or Tony who are harrasing his opponents for shit and giggles (and to tilt them ofc). As for pokerskills... I cant compete with any of the players around that table, so any of them is pokergods to me :P but I prefer watching Dwan for exciting pokerplays (less good for my ecconomy thou :P ).
Because theres a flush and a straight out there, and if Schwartz has either, then re-raising the river is going to get him into trouble. If Schwatrz doesnt have either, he isn't going to call a re-raise and then Laak doesnt get to see what he has, which seems important to him.
@Takkra he's a pretty damn good player though - his personality just doesn't do him any favors. but man, he's really good at reading his opponents hands, you have to give him credit for that...
How would it be bad etiquette if Laak did that? I think people keep mistaking slowroll (bad etiquette in sandbagging the best hand at showdown) and slowplay (strategically playing a big hand as a weaker hand to entice bluffers/make me think their decent hand is the best one.). I think you're describing slowplay. Then there's playing slow, which is simply taking forever to make your move (see Tom Dwan).
No -- Laak called Swartz's bet; or he paid to showdown with Swartz. As far as I know it's proper etiquette for the last opener/raiser to show their hand first. It's only a slow roll if Swartz had his TT up for more than a few seconds before Laak showed his hand. If anything Laak is asking Swartz to be proper by showing first.
Asking Schwartz to show his hand first? Why would that be bad etiquette? The person who bets the river is always the one to show his hand first so the other one can muck if his hand is no good.
Schwartz’ little “if you have JJ then you’re good” was such a little weasel attempt at hiding info. If you want to muck your hand then muck your hand but don’t try figure out if youre the winner first and then muck your hand. Laak was 100% correct to call him out on it
The first player to the left of the dealer button is first to show there hand Roberts poker rules. After all betting is complete. Unless its an all in hand then he doesn't have too show his hand. But in tournament. Which this is If u go all in u show ur hand. And this is tournament rules the schwarts try to get away with one cause how fast laak called his big bet at the end. U can also see a similar situation like this with phil hellmuth vs john borddder cant spell his name. Phil bluff and john called him he said u got it but john wanted to see his hand and phil had a melt down but he was in the wrong and he knew it too.
What would he get called by that he can beat? On the river, all heart flush draws come in, 10-8 makes a straight. If Laak raises, it looks like he has one of those hands and Schwartz is folding unless he himself has one of those hands...even if Schwartz is able to occasionally hero with a one pair hand, it's not worth it for the time he just rivered a big hand.
but Luke could very reasonably have hearts and can maybe have 10 8 so it's better to just call and hope you're good. it's not a good river for Phil's hand really
One commentator said Laak would wear ski goggles or a motorcycle helmet if he could. I wonder how much the rules of a given tournament will allow? Being able to see a player's face is supposed to be part of the game
It actually depends on where you are, you may get away with a friggin alien makeup in Vegas, but in Macao especially at the Venetian you can not even have Headphones, or a normal flexfit cap, all those 7k camera eyes in the air have to see you
No, it would have been bad etiquette if Laak didnt raise pre-flop. He raised pre-flopped then slow played from there. If he would have just called the big blind pre flop and slow rolled the rest of the way, that is bad etiquette.
a slow roll happens after showdown which is bad etiquette part. eg saying I have 2 pair when you really have 4 of a kind, something like that is bad etiquette. During the hand you can bet anyway you want.
"I want to see your hand first then I'll show you the winning hand" lol priceless..
I'm just curious what u do your stuff with.
Buuuble gumm!!
Phil Laak is so nice. He calls and then says "sorry" when he wants to see the guys hand and the guy doesn't wanna show. Class.
if its poor etiquette from someone, is from Schwartz. Laak paid to see Luke's hand, when he gets called he should inmediately turn over his hand instead of all that crap "if u got jacks ur good etc..."
exactly, you bet the river and laak simply called, turn over your cards, dont try to sneak away without giving any information up
Wrong. Poker etiquette states the "last aggressor" to show their hand first. Schwartz made a bet, and Laak 'paid to see his cards'.
@@moran44417 No, there isn't. Only in your mind. He paid to see his cards, so he deserves to see them.
"I want to see what you have Bubble Gum" LMAO
Have to say I actually like Schwartz. He might be hot tempered, loud and a showboat but seldom abusive.

Schwartz has nice cannons
guoga is a legend

" shoow shick"...schwartz come here for a second, nah a little closer. BAUFFF!!!
When Laak calls him "bubblegum" he is obviously referring to his body shape and not that he is always chewing gum, right?
@balconyboy22, he played it like a set.
I was @ foxwoods in the poker room and Venessa came down the stairs in a black leather suit ...
@TheInadequacy yes it is :)
@Takkra
he's a pretty damn good player though - his personality just doesn't do him any favors. but man, he's really good at reading his opponents hands, you have to give him credit for that...

it's not about clockwise round?
where can i watch the full game?
jaaaamieeeeee at joes
Schwartz is hilarious, he's like the new Phil Hellmuth lol
laak owns souls
No -- Laak called Swartz's bet; or he paid to showdown with Swartz. As far as I know it's proper etiquette for the last opener/raiser to show their hand first. It's only a slow roll if Swartz had his TT up for more than a few seconds before Laak showed his hand.

Schwartz, Hellmuth and Guoga. I love watching them lose.
FUKING BEAST HIGH STAKES
I have no idea why i bet the river. I thought I would push you off jacks.
Which is it?
Asking Schwartz to show his hand first? Why would that be bad etiquette? The person who bets the river is always the one to show his hand first so the other one can muck if his hand is no good.
Did Laak fold it ??
lol yea they need to square off heads up!
Tony G and Schwartz, oh man, talk about a table haha.
His worst calling hand on the turn was JJ... Luke had to bluff that River.
i want to see your hand, then i'll show you the winning one. niiiiice
Good players, comical to watch them tangle too
He seems like a very likeable young chap.
You obviously haven't watched much video of Schwartz. HE IS INCREDIBLY ANNOYING.
Bubblegum. Lol. Schwartz chewing is really annoing.
Laak is the man
Laak almost mucked his hand by mistake LOL 2:23
um yeah i think ur confused on what does what down there.....

My bad phil hellmuth vs jean Robert bellande.
2:46 Tony D

And the mouth breather goes down.
On your bike, bubblegum.
I wanna show vannessa my straight to the 9

and how do u know who has the winning hand? lol
Can't hate him more than Tony G.

Lol he is going to be just like Hellmuth once he's grown up :P
Dude it's not etiquette, it's rules.
i dont understand how any1 pays off Phil Laak dudes a nitt for life
el o fucking el :D
phil laak
Lol, everyone hating on Schwartz! Haha!
schwartz the poker fish
why to hate some1 u never met?
Tony G is the reason no one likes Party Poker yet they stick by him?
lol at the beginning i thought that daniel negreanu was actually in the game and just read both of their hands in like one second lol
Bubble gum lol
Is that you Luke? I mean you can't really be anyone other than him or a close friend to get so uptight and defend such things can you?
Huh
The winning hand should show first so that the losing hand can safely and anonymously muck his hand. This is poor etiquette in my opinion.
No. He 'called' which means he gets to see the betting hand - he paid to do it.
schwartz at his most professional here, i was expecting some immature comment about how stupid and lucky laak is lol
The first player to the left of the dealer button is first to show there hand Roberts poker rules. After all betting is complete. Unless its an all in hand then he doesn't have too show his hand. Phil argued it was an etiquette thing. He should have let him muck his hand then turned up the winner to show him what he called with.
The persons who bets shows their hand i.e. Schwartz
James T We're not arguing the rules of the game, its just terrible poker etiquette for someone to say youre good and still demand to see their hand
bamber101 "Cards talk" is the most basic of poker rules, and Laak is correct to demand them to be enforced.
+Gregory sears You're a very angry person
But you gotta love to hate him.
Why didnt Phil just raise there?
What would he get called by that he can beat? On the river, all heart flush draws come in, 10-8 makes a straight. If Laak raises, it looks like he has one of those hands and Schwartz is folding unless he himself has one of those hands...even if Schwartz is able to occasionally hero with a one pair hand, it's not worth it for the time he just rivered a big hand.
Well he doesn't lose anything by folding, the money is already in.
but Luke could very reasonably have hearts and can maybe have 10 8 so it's better to just call and hope you're good. it's not a good river for Phil's hand really
Basically the vast majority of hands which would call him have him beat.
2:12 Haha gotta love Laak
luke fkin boss
Luke just need to find something better to do beside gambling. He is not good.
I am the same, POW lol
i gave u a thumb up
Hoodies and shades shouldn't be allowed.
no homo Okay I will bring a space suit to a pokergame
DavenH okay

easiest thumbs up ever. ever. period.
woteva
Schwartz is sooooo bad 😂😂😂
i need to learn to fold when i know im beat, its so sick ... i know my hand is no good but i still call, help me , lol
Please explain how that would work in real life, since THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT EACH OTHER HAS.
@balconyboy22 FU Tony G is the best
No, it would have been bad etiquette if Laak didnt raise pre-flop. He raised pre-flopped then slow played from there. If he would have just called the big blind pre flop and slow rolled the rest of the way, that is bad etiquette.

ok...maybe hate is a big word let's just say...i dislike him :)
schwartz is a disgrace of poker
i bet all these clowns are in bitcoin and getting smashed 😂
lolno
@lewnik69 FU
Love to hate.
schwartz is a legend
i like laak but isnt this bad etiquette?
To ask to see the hand you called? Seems reasonable to me. If anything, Schwartz is breaching etiquette. You've been called, show your damn hand.
Jesus is Lord
