TOTL Games is the BIGGEST Game Store in the Northwest!

- Top of the Line games or TOTL Games in Portland, Oregon just moved to a new location and they are now the largest game store in the Pacific Northwest by far. Their new location is literally directly across the street from the Oregon Convention Center. So if you're going to be in town for the Portland Retro Gaming Expo then walk across the street and say hi.
For many years this space was home to the Ansen Japanese American grocery store and then it became a dispensary and now it is a really awesome game store. What's cool is they actually do have a selection of Japanese and Asian snacks as well as Gundam models and Japanese video games.
When I got into collecting retro video game cartridges again, the first game that I purchased was at TOTL Games. They've been a huge supporter of me so it feels good to be a supporter of them.

In the future I'm going to be making a Retro Gamer travel guide the Portland, Oregon and plan on having this store be first and foremost.
It's really impressive for what they're able to put together in such a short period of time. And I greatly look forward to seeing what Lindsay and her motley crew puts together in the future and does with the place

You know that's actually a really good idea. I'm currently writing a video called "The Secret History of Nintendo, Atari, & Hello Kitty World". It's turning into a much longer video.
So your comment inspired me to make a video for next week called: "The BEST way to play NeoGeo! Don't MISS OUT!!". It's going to be about the NeoGeo Arcadestick Pro. I think it is the best mini console ever despite it being pretty big.
Then eventually I need to make "Essential NeoGeo Pocket Color: a 2024 Guide".

So TOTL Games has moved into the building that was home to the Anzen Japanese American grocery store for a great many years. So to celebrate the heritage of this location this I bought a little maneki-neko (招き猫, lit. 'beckoning cat') figurine and gave it to them. They are supposed to bring good luck and welcome people in to spend their money. Awesomely they also have a selection of Japanese, Thai and Korean snacks, as well as Japanese video games and model kits.
