Definitely agree. So many awesome characters and things unfolding. Not to mention factory race vehicles. I still love racing and baja but it's not the same...
@@billhicksmcgee1181 I agree 100% I mean take Class 10 for example.. there was so much variation and 1 off modified cars back then whereas now... they are more stream line and ... not to seem naive, the chassis and motors seem like are stream lined and it seems to me like everyone kind of uses the same equipment.. correct me of I am wrong!
@@EimaiEmpusa69 you're not wrong...grass roots are gone. It's basically utv or spec trophy now. Class 10 cars are 150k. We've gotten into the norra races and have a lot of fun there, but the car count isn't the same as score...
I love the truck and ivan was the man those trucks back in the day was punishing to drive they have come a long way would love to see him drive some modern day equipment
GET RIGHT THE HECK OUT!!!!! It is always very cool to hear peoples stories about meeting the Legend. I just got to spend a few hours with him and Linda recently (my third time hanging with him, but he don't know..lol) in Salt Lake City at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum.
That Truck is my all time favorite, the technology put into it was Incredible and the Amount of money it's worth is unbelievable, could you imagine it today with maybe Robby Gordon behind the wheel ?
@@soaceba I go to many races every year, Parker, Vegas to Reno and the Mint, I've seen all of them over the past three decades living in the desert myself and I will agree that the New 4 wheel drives are Awesome, but that Ivan Stuart Toyota is just plain spectacular especially for when it was built, that's just my opinion and thanks for the response, Peace
the forefather of the trophy trucks
The godfather of race driver marketing and charisma
Awesome footage of “The man, the myth, the legend! 🔥
His keynote in SLC this year was endearing, he will never not be the best IMHO.
I miss 90s desert racing. Nothing like it.

You should see a Mason AWD trophy truck if you think Ivan's ole tt is impressive.

That truck is what my brain pictures when someone says "Baja Toyota"
I have that truck as a Die Cast
Me also, but I don’t play with it much…lol

Would love to know if Ivan has been shotgun in the latest trophy truck at top speed through the whoops and what his impressions are.
I bet he’s snuck a ride or three
