We made our own gobos for the Aputure Spotlight! How'd we do it?

- We've made good use of the gobos in a few of our ad campaigns, but we wanted to add a bit of flair to a more recent video series and add a projected logo. Our friends at Gizmonics helped us CNC a few custom disks, and made our dreams come true!

easier to make with plastic laminate and draw anything you want with a permanent marker. or cut any design with vinyl plotter and stick it within the laminating sheet
then put it into the projection unit

very cool but doesn't really help us who are trying to make a gobo at home. it would be nice if you could upload the template with the safe zones for us to use.

hi there! did you consider getting these laser cut? You could gang up a few designs on a sheet and get those finite square edges? I'm looking into this for a few customs specifically for the spotlight also.
Definitely! This was a situation where getting access to a CNC was easier than finding a laser cutter, though, and we had a fast turnaround for one of the cuts.
