- Part 3 of 4 as we go on a quest to find non-leagues biggest club as we have visited and vlogged our experiences at Wrexham AFC, Oldham Athletic and now Chesterfield... Notts County you're up next! In today's video for non-league day, we went to the National League and visited Chesterfield for their game with Halifax Town at the Technique Stadium. We take you on our journey over the Peak District, around Chesterfield and their famous spire, we visit the history of Chesterfield and check out the memorial of where their old ground used to stand, the Recreation Ground before going to visit a few pubs (The Derby Tup, The Beer Parlour, The Glassworks and The Donkey Derby) before showing you around the ground and completing our match vlog as Chesterfield put themselves in a great position for the play-offs as they win 2-0 thanks to goals from Oliver Banks and Armando Dobra. We rate the atmosphere, the value for money and food and drink at Chesterfield. We also got some great drone footage of the Peak District, the Technique Stadium, Chesterfield and the spire. Enjoy the video and thank you for the 1k subs! :-)

Tannadice park
Arbroath is a good one
Exeter City, a fan owned club and home to the Big Bank, the largest remaining standing terrace in English football. 👍
Altrincham
Brilliant drone work ,Chesterfield is definitely set for bigger things .Brilliant ground 👍
Thanks Robert we appreciate it
Set for bigger things ? We did get to the semi final of the FA cup in 1997
A pleasure as always brother to do these. Great video to film as always. Love the drone shots. Come on Spireites
Thanks bro and thanks for coming
Leeds fan here but from Chesterfield and went to the game to support to local boys. Me and my dad saw you in the donkey Derby. But fantastic video mate and glad you enjoyed Chesterfield
Nice one as you can’t beat non league football. Love supporting these teams when our teams aren’t playing. Thank you it was certainly busy in the donkey derby.
Proper respect for going and checking out where Saltergate was - you can see the old entrance at the beginning of "The Damned United" film which was filmed at Chesterfield 'cos it (still!) resembled Derby's Baseball Ground as it looked in the 70's!
That is interesting to know. Always fascinating to look at a clubs history such as the old stadium where Saltergate once stood.
Brilliant blog from chesterfield fan
Thank you really appreciate it.
Cracking video that lads. Enjoyed it 👍🏼. Sorry for seemingly staring you out as soon as you walked through the turnstiles 😂🤦🏻♂️
Haha 😂 never noticed truthfully. Best of luck to you for the rest of the season.
Great vlog boys. Glad you enjoyed your day out....up the Spireites
Cheers Andy much appreciated. Love to do chesterfield again and explore the town centre next time. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
Great video lads. Love the production value of the content.
Thank you
Great vlog spent so much of my time at saltergate great memories beating the Sheffield teams Rangers and Wrexham in the quarter final of the Facup
The NL is a shock for all the league teams that come down it takes a while to adjust I think Oldham will be a force once they get the right set up I hope we go up but Notts County have got to be the favourites for the play off
Thank you appreciate it. Shame we never had the chance to visit Saltergate.
The National League now is a very competitive division. You would think so but depends how much it takes out of Notts mentally to miss out going up as champions despite getting over a 100 points. It will test the mental strength of Notts county to pick themselves in the Playoffs.
The atmosphere at the quarter final v Wrexham in 1997 was possibly the best, except for maybe when Man City came to Saltergate during their wilderness years in I think 1999 and brought a ridiculously big away following. But that '97 quarter - Beaumont chipping the keeper like that! Amazing.
@JSGC Football yes it will be interesting I think it could work in there favour if they know before the last game so they can get their heads around it
When they bear us at our place we out played them but they looked to me like a side who knew how to win!
But we've added three players so there's time for us to get some form in time for the play offs
@Mercian Supremacy yes it seamed an age waiting for the ball to hit the back of the net then saltergate just exploded!!
Very nice video lads keep up the content 👊🏻
Thank you 😊
Love your vids on the road boy's. More drone footage featuring a women's beach volleyball tournament 😁
Thank you 😊
amazing video lads, showed alot of history about our club, propa pun crawl going anorll
Thank you, it would be a fantastic away day if doing it with our clubs as I know there is a lot of pubs in the town centre. Good luck to Chesterfield.
Wrexham fan here. I love watching your lower league VLOGs. Thanks 🙏
Thank you 😊 glad you like them. So close to the end now. Good luck to Wrexham hopefully see you guys soon at Deepdale in the future.
Very enjoyable vlog boys. Look forward to your next adventure now. Well done
Thanks Dad, Deepdale next week so much closer to home haha
The Beer Parlour is our pub- thanks guys for your feedback - enjoyed the video x
Fantastic, thank you so much for the great drinks and atmosphere, will defo return if/when we come back. Keep up the great work😁 x
You need to go to Chester, as it’s only fair as you did cover Wrexham 👍
Chester is a very underwhelming ground to visit. Back of a retail park, nowhere to get a drink nearby and poor atmosphere. Much better non-league grounds to see.
😂😂😂
@@gilesjones3626 You’ve never heard of the Blues bar ?You have to be a Wrexham fan 😂😂👍
as a spirerite i agree with most of the review. :) could have mentioned some of the gretest players apart from Jack L, like Gordon Banks for instance. or even Sean Dyche and Kevin Davis in more recent times. try the pubs towards the otherside like chesterfield arms or the neptune next time. good stuff lads.
Thanks will have do it next time as an away fan. As I know the town centre is a good place to drink. Best of luck for the season.
Please can you visit home park stadium Plymouth Argyle who will play in the championship next season very enjoyable video
Don't worry we will be there next season as it is our top target since they will play Aaron's team PNE.
Does super tommy clarke not play for halifax ?
He certainly does
He does just not in the matchday squad.
Great Video but a slight difference on the age. The Historians have proven the club was formed in 1866, hence the address. The FA Cup Semi Final was just as dubious. David Hellery mistakenly disallowed a goal to give the Spireites a 3:0 lead shortly before Boro scored their first goal. The game went into extra time and Boro scored first with local lad Jamie Hewitt scoring a injury time equaliser
Thank you, we was aware of the controversial FA cup semi final with Middlesbrough with the injury time equaliser. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
As an achievement, you didn't mention that we were the last winners of the Anglo Scottish Cup, beating Rangers on the way to the final.
Thanks for the interesting fact. Generally didn't know that
Back to the proact stadium
Notts county are the biggest club in non league without a doubt
Can’t wait to go to Meadow Lane, to see the oldest professional club in the world.
eastleigh fc vs aldershot as it is the hampshire derby
Interesting idea
1866 mate
It’s a sham that only 1 team gets auto promotion. Should be 2 with one being promoted through playoffs (total of 3). Bottom 3 of league 2 needs to drop to NL
I agree you will get no arguments from us. Realistic one club getting over 100 points and not getting promoted.
Go to Gateshead vs Barnet fa trophy nice to see you down there
Would love to get to as much football as possible but we are scheduled in for the rest of the season, happy to look at Barnet or Gateshead for next season though👍🏻
@@jsgcfootball when you come to the hive I buy yous a pint 🐝
Thanks mate
Chesterfield do have planning permission in place to build a supporters club.
That is interesting to know. Have they announced any plans what it will look like? Or a date to build it?
@@jsgcfootball they have announced what it will look like, you will be able to find it somewhere as they showed the fans. Unsure about when it will be built as of yet
@@DOBS13 thank you for that I will have a look at the plans to see what it will look like.
Dorking FC.🙌
Wrexham❤
😉 love Wrexham but we will see
Notts country are the biggest club in non-league, then oldham.
Deepdale v cesspool 1st april
Already covering that next week 😉Pick another one.
Tannadice park
Notts are the biggest probably joint by Oldham
You reckon joint? Not the biggest alone?
@@artful1967 8000 average, and tickets were a tenner and got 16,000 fans in for community day. Just proving your a Tory. Wrexham averaged 3-4K before hollywood
@@jsgcfootball we’ve got a lot of history but so do Oldham tbf, I reckon we jsut edge it tho
I agree that Chesterfield belong in the league but if any team other than WREXHAM and Notts County are promoted this season it will be a real shame .
Some really big teams in there as Notts County will be hard done if they don't go up. Should be 3 teams promoted.
Chesterfield are a big team and should be in the league but for this season it should be Wrexham and Notts County to both be promoted. Chesterfield will have to wait for next season.
@@sharman8489 can’t disagree both deserve to go up with the points total.
@@sharman8489 I reckon my team chesterfield will do it, it will help if we finish 3rd, but we play better against teams like notts etc and both games were tight if we do happen to come against them, it's just down to the day in my opinion. If anything I'm more worried about other teams in the playoffs just because of how unpredictable they are. But we will see, its a shame all 3 clubs can't go up and start battling it out In league 2. I think if we dont do it this season, it will be our time next season as long as we keep players like Dobra, king etc
Think you meant to say Notts County
Oldham ex premiership Biggest club
Never film with the light behind you, school boy error
Notts County are the biggest non league club
I look forward to visiting very soon. Hard to argue with that 16K attendance and the oldest professional club in the world. Any recommendations in Nottingham for places to visit?
@@jsgcfootball yeh the road out of it
@@petercook6339 we’re one of the best away days in the league but anyway
@@artful1967 making tickets cheap for the community, how is that a bad thing? You tory
If I put the most comments does that count
😂😂😂
You went in the Derby Tup and drank cider? Dazzling array of mad strength real ales and you drank cider....I pity you
I don’t like Real Ale hence I didn’t pick it. Can’t stand the stuff
@@jsgcfootball You missed out the food hall which is right across from the ground, serves great beers.
@@rolandgent5754 should have been me Jay haha as I like the real ale. Shame I was driving for this one. The was some nice ales but that is for next time.
Will keep the food Hall in mind for next time pal
@@jsgcfootball Notts county you might as well go in the sports pub by the river trent. Forget hooters
Short answer - no
Go to forest green
Not by a long way
Oldham athletic it is still the best
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it
I'd have to say Notts County, best ground outside the Premier League is Bolton's its all about opinions though.
Fair point especially with the Bolton comment.
Great video lads , big thanks from OZ🦘
Cheers Steve appreciate it 👍🏻
