Top Gun Maverick was a phenomenal movie. Mustaches like the chevron and handlebar, are my favorite staches. And in my opinion those look great with some kind of stubble.

I’ve tried growing one on/off for years. Could never get it come to full fruition. Now that I’m older I noticed I’m able to get a chevron going. The wife despises it, but my sons love it. With a skin fade flat top it definitely gives off an authoritative look. But like Eric said, it’s fun.

Mustaches were never out of style in the world Im living in. Ive been rocking the stache since 15 and now 40, God I’m amazing!
I can confirm the method of getting rid of the grainy stuff in Utility Balm. I put a little water in a pot, stuck the jar in the water (with the lid off, and not enough water to go over the top, of course), then warmed it slowly until the balm was all melted. After sitting in the fridge for a while it was right back to being smooth.
Great video. I’m about to shave myself back into the mustache. People tell me it’s my best look and I always feel confident about it. Even through the haters. Though this time the growth is awesome time wise and I look forward to getting some of the products you suggested. My hair style is thinning Woody Harrelson but it works. Great video Eric, I’m really liking the mustache and long hair style you are wearing lately. Looks really cool bro. I’ve never had long hair and I’m currently seven months into the yeard. I might have to start growing my hair out January 1st and see what happens in a year or two lol. You got me wanting to rock the mustache again after completing the yeard now, not complaining though I love a classic chevron mustache and I personally would like to try a horseshoe mustache. I personally hope the mustache becomes as popular as the beard has become.

The amount of compliments I’ve gotten from my stache is insane, I’ve been called hot by all the girls I’ve been with while having it and they’ve said it makes me look better, some random gay dude said it gives insane sex appeal randomly one night at the club😂

I’ve rocked the beardstache most this summer, it’s been fun, but my neck is a little fat and my chin/jawline aren’t that strong or chiseled. So I’m starting to grow my winter beard back

Eric, you brought back the mustache. You need royalties or a wiki page for your stache, bro! Same with the mullet but this style is even cooler. I might shave off the beard in the spring and go for the walrus/Hungarian or trim it to a chevron. Keep on Growin’!

i'll tell ya, i just went to a beardstache and got the utility balm. it was grainy due to the heat in the late spring time, but it melts down so easy in the hand. not like when i had a big beard and had butters that arrived grainy and just would never break down.
I started rocking a moustache and stubble as a summer look this year and I loved it! I was definitely inspired by Top Gun as well 😂

My sideburns don't get too big or bushy unfortunately. They're a bit on the thinner and patchy side of things. -Eric
i remember this guy cleaned shaved on youtube, and looked like a model without a beard. he suits with a moustache along with cleaned shaved too , looks very good
I used to have the solo stache about 6 years ago. Nobody noticed. Like it was always there. Eventually, I grew tired of shaving and let the beard grow back. This time I'm letting my moustache grow freely. Its style evolved from a 70s/biker moustache, to now at around 6 months a very pointy Van Dyke. I think I too almost like the variation in style more than the style itself :-)
I'm trying to figure out if trimming the ends is doing me any favors. The natural growth seems really wide, but feel that trimming is going to lead to a mistake eventually.

I do enjoy having the stache and longer hair; hence the reason I'm rocking it right now. But I'd say what I love most is to change my style regularly and try new things. But my favorite styles are the beardstache and my 3 month wavy beard. -Eric
I appreciate your reply! I've tried the beardstache, it's nice, playful... I've never left my beard for 3 months. I have left them somewhere up to a month and a half. But over 20 days, I made a cut on the cheek and neck lines. I had to let it cool completely and touch it up after 2-3 months. This is a common mistake we all make. I'm 40 years old and especially my chin is gray so my daughter tells me I look quite older 😊.... But you got me thinking.... I have to try it!

I used to have a moustache early on in my facial hair career and I was blessed with a fairly small mouth and this means that it takes little time for the stache to reach walrus level. 😊

I clicked on this video just randomly scrolling through UA-cam. Not particularly interested in growing a mustache. It dawned on me while watching that two women in the past day had rather suprisingly showed interest in me (not terribly common for me since I'm too busy to spend time on my appearance, right now) Both were basically 9 to 10's so it definitely got my attention. I've let my mustache grow more than I normally do (I just keep longer-than-stubble facial hair but usually shorter on the mustache area due to it being the thickest part of my facial hair which makes it even out) Now I wonder if I should leave the longer mustache area and test the results with more women.
Actually the whole Moustache style came back in style a ew years ago with the whole Grow your Mo in November annual tradition and guys who grew moustaches for that November just kept them instead of shave them off at the end of November.

Rooster's mustache was great reference to his father Goose from Top Gun 1980's film. I see more non-Hipster/artist type guys rocking mustaches more. It's back
I was lazy at the end of October. Realized I was going into November with a decent bit of facial growth, so no shave November. Somehow decided to end no shave November with shaping the start of a van dyke. (I think I blame Doctor fate in black atom for the inspiration.) been loving the handlebar mustache. I almost think I will keep the handlebar moving forward. One of my kids is little enough, that she could grow up to never remember me without a handlebar Stach. Now that’s a goal.
I usually prefer mustaches with at least a soul patch and maybe a bit of chin stubble. I naturally grow a Balbo style so it's just a matter of changing the length of each part.

I started growing out my beard for my fiancé as she loves men with facial hair and wanted me to grow it out! I have been a bit insecure with what I have and was never happy with the way it looked. It's week been about 8 months of growing and a week ago I almost shaved it all off! So tired of a super curly and tangled beard but...now I bought your utility oil and HOLY CRAP!!!! Chevron is classic with any hair style
I think this hairstyle and the chevron moustache makes you look cool, clean, and elegant. Perhaps the sideburns could have been a little longer..just a little more than half the size of ears. Still it's an interesting look.

We've always preferred to being early to certain styles, rather than copy. Obviously, there's a lot of brands out there so similar products will always exist. But in my biased opinion, I think the aluminum looks pretty dope. -Eric

If anyone cares to share their opinion, I’d like to know if I can pull off a stache with a slightly sparse short stubble in a professional setting (real estate) if I keep the neck line lined up.
Why not? I’m a retired IT Executive from a Fortune 10 company and always rocked that look, unless I let the beard grow out from time to time. It never hurt my career.

No, you are clearly lying since you are not even mentioning the Henry Cavil Stasche.. I watched every single stasche-style and hated every single style until I found the Cavil style with a solid stasch accompanied by a neatly trimmed full beard, showing a confidence where you clearly say "I can grow a full beard but I simply grew tired of that look".
