Siblings waiting for a US citizen petition will have to wait 15-20 years in order to get an interview at their respective US consulates overseas. You have to be ultra patient and due to such an extremely long process will also need to face the reality that there's a good chance you might die waiting or getting too old to achieve your dreams if you do get there alive. : )

@@rn9167 I think the best is to go consult with an immigration lawyer. One replied that I cannot do it at the same time because having a tourist visa means that you don’t want to move here, you just want to visit. So having to be petitioned says that you have every intent to stay in the country which negates being a tourist. I think something to that effect. I haven’t personally gone to a lawyer yet though. I hope you get to reconnect with your sister.

@@tenz_rinchen3899 Hi, I'm not sure, but I think you can only go along with your parents if the process was approved while you were 21 years old or younger, because then you can trigger the CSPA, that is, if the process is approved and during the time you remained pending you were over 21, they recalculate your age for when you were a minor. I don't know if that's really how it works, look up the CSPA age at USCIS.

Hi! Thank you for the video it is very helpful.
I have a question I just recieved an 1-797 petition approval for my brother after waiting 8 years, it say the doc. Will be sent over to NVC and I should hear from them within 45 days, now the priority date is 4/16/2012 ! I'm just confused , does this mean that it can take another 8-10 years before he actually is scheduled a interview ?? Thanks

It could be possible as long as they have a valid status to stay in USA while priority date becomes current.

I have a question. My Aunt filed i-130 for my Mom in 2009. In 2019, we got a E2 visa and it got approved. Currently we are living in United States since last 3 years and are just waiting for our i-130 form to be approved so we can be a permanent resident. I see the wait time is now 15 years which means we have to wait until 2025. We also can’t go anywhere outside United States because we got our business visa from here and if we go back to our country, we have to file the process again. My question is that is there any way to expedite this process or adjust our status because our whole family is already in United States on a valid visa.

E2 visa has a lot of investment..how much did you invest in rupees? And you can only bring your dependents, right? So your mom had a separate e2 visa and you separate?

    Greetings...
Kindly I need some advice about my I130 case, on March 02, 2022, it was approved, but now USCIS website says MY DOCUMENT WAS RETURNED TO USCIS, I asked the attorney who has submitted the petition in 2016, and said there is no problem and this will not affect your case.
    I request your kind advice.
    Best regards
