      @maneeshamukhi  3 роки тому

      @@sharminecampbellbrown3679 Yes he can sponsor his sibling but it takes a very long time to sponsor a sibling (it can take 10+ years). It might be faster for you to get your green card through your son and then you can sponsor your 12 yr old son as a green card holder. I would ask an attorney but I think that way might be faster (it would still take years )

    Very informative video. My question is, what if the parents are financially independent themselves and have enough savings to show that they can look after themselves and their child sponsor is still in school? I am talking of over $150K as savings.

      Glad it was helpful! Yes, I'll be making videos for other family members soon. With siblings, the wait is very long if they are currently outside the U.S. It can take 10+ years to sponsor a sibling...but if you sponsor a parent and they (or one of them) get their green card, then they can sponsor an adult child if he/she is unmarried. That might be faster (depends on what country your sibling is born in)

      Do your parents 1st. When they are here they can do the process for their kids. I know because my cousin did it for her parents. My grandpa did for his daughter and son in law. When my aunt and uncle came they later did it for their kids only 2 because 2 is married.

    Hi Maneesha! Thank you for the informative video. I have been looking into the process of sponsoring a parent to the US and it is a lot, but your video is a great resource to help us understand it better. Would you recommend hiring an attorney for someone who knows very little about law stuff? I am looking into sponsoring my mom who is a Lao citizen to come to Hawaii where I currently live. Would I need to hire an attorney based in Hawaii or can they be based in any state? (Since attorneys are very expensive here). Thank you for making such a great video!💕🙏

    Hello. Thanks for the video. I have a few questions for you and need guidance. So I have applied for my mom and just received the NVC welcome email. My question is that since there’s a immigration ban in place at least until March 31, 2021 and probably the next administration will extend it, how is it possible to apply for a Visa? Will a Visa be issued by any embassy at this time? Also it is very difficult to travel due to the pandemic. My mom is in Iran and as you know, there is not a US Embassy in Iran and she has to go to Abu Dhabi in Emirates. There’s also travel visas to Emirates for Iranians at this time and a travel halt in place. Could you please advise how to move forward with the application. Should I wait to see what happens with the Immigration ban?

    I’m going to do this for my mom. I live with roommates and I pay rent to the landlord how do I show proof of the household income?

      A bit confused about your question.... Your roommates aren't part of your "household". If you aren't married, then your income would be your "household" income.

    Thank you for sharing this helpful information. Could you please help me just to understand one thing. I am trying to fill out the for both my parents, to bring them to United States.

    I really appreciate the video making most of the things clear. Me and my wife are parents (76 yrs nd 68 yrs) of three kids who are settled in USA. As they are pressing us to apply for Green Card, I will be happy if anyone can give their suggestion/advice on Two Specific things.
    (1) Is it better to apply while bein India or when visiting USA?
    (2) From Medical point of view, is it better to Apply from California ( Where my Daughter and second son are there) OR from Texas, where my eldest son is there?
