That wasn’t a whiff punish it was luck 😂 he tried to armor thru the projectile but it was enhanced so it broke armor if you watch, Stryker pulls the gun out then he activated XRay

It’s so easy to manipulate the Boss AI on Mk9 😂 the normal characters are harder on expert compared to the bosses
When I would use Scorpion against Shao Kahn, my final hit would be the Hellfire. And the glitch would allow the flames to stay on Scorpion's fists, like he was engulfed in his rage, landing blow after blow on the Emperor as the Hellfire boosted his strength...

I played this game so much, I flawless victoried the entire tower on expert. I put my controller down and realized I needed to do something with my life. I created some full screen combo that probably wouldn't work against a real person.

@@ahmiehabibi man i wish i couldnt bring myself down, ive had this game for a while and what annoys me is the combos ive tried again and again to do the moves in complete succession even after i pressed the buttons correctly. I dont know if its the controller or what but i just cant do it
I love your airtight commentary and gameplay. Your mastery of this game can be very educational to the less skilled players such as myself haha. Certainly very entertaining.
I can definitely finish in expert with no losses but you make it feel and look much easier than when I do it. I always suffer a bit. Even after training with each character before a run, I sometimes lack the knowledge or execution to be more consistent and confident.
It’s all about that character grind I never took back in the day. Never been into frame data and extensive research. Always played much more casually eyeballing everything. Even when competing online or local. Great pro gamer stuff on this mk9 gameplay!

Quick Tip: When fighting Shao Khan he almost ALWAYS does the "Golf Swing" hammer wake up attack if you rush him as SOON as he hits the ground. He'll attempt that attack, but it's so slow you can jump over him before it gets high enough to hit you out of the air. Punishing that attack can net you some awesome combos. 😉
Personally Noob's default costume is his best design of all.

I never understood why people called zoning cheaty and spammy. That's what they do. Not every zone was like Kenshi and Freddy who had good combo potential as well as the ranged game.
I miss the challenge tower for this game
I think NRS overcompensated in making the AI in future games ridiculous on high difficulty. The AI in this game constantly does unsafe moves that are easy to punish.
I hated Mk9 back then. I didn't know combos and I kept getting jungled
