  • Are you a qualified Sidemount diver looking to use an air integration transmitter? Sidemount air integration is becoming increasingly popular, and many dive computer manufacturers now produce Sidemount AI models that can simultaneously track the contents of multiple cylinders. However, setting up Sidemount air integration can be problematic, and it is easy to clutter your configuration unnecessarily.
In this video, I will show you the options and guide you through the process of setting up an air integration the way I use mine.

Do you use a Air Integration with your Sidemount setup? How do you mount the transmitter?

I use AI transmitters on 6" hoses. Two perdix, left perdix reading left tank, right perdix reading right tank but either perdix is capable of reading both tanks in case of a dive computer failure. In case of a transmitter failure, dives done. Never had this happen yet.

What about 90 degree HD adapter with short hose for the top port?

unless the 90-degree is made for high pressure, it should not be used for high-pressure connections.

I use back-up SPGs because it's easier to check gas pressure at a glance when I'm not wearing my computers or in bright sunlight when the computer displays may be hard to read.

agreed. using the SPG when setting up the cylinders without the dive computer is easy...for the sunlight, I don't have issues checking the dive computer...at least not yet...but reading glasses is coming my way and it may change in the near future....

I use AI + 6” and a button SPG on the opposite side as a backup, works perfectly

the button SPG is not an alternative for me as i cannot read it. need to have a full SPG so i can see it properly. but yes, an alternative that i did not mentioned.

Hi @modigilyani, won't be able to tell specific about egypt, but here in the UK there are many places where you can get it, both Apeks and XS Scuba. XS Scuba is also available (or was) at Amazon (amzn.to/3FL7AtV)
have you checked with a Apeks store in Egypt if they can order for you (if they don't have in stock)? uk.apeksdiving.com/en/stores
