Triggers were all over my hog spots first week of Feb. Had to go 60-70ft to get keeper size hogs. Awesome to see kids having fun fishing. Caleb lives down the street from me, him and his brother Bryce are very nice and respectable boys.
First time watching the channel. I frequent the party boats in the Tampa area & get a lot of grunts, porgies & small groupers. The grunts & porgies are great eating. Working on gettin' them hogs & mangroves.
looks like my kindof fun was that spot a public #ed or well know easy to find reef? remember I fish the panhandle I've never been to Tampa. St. Pete. planning to move to Bradenton area how far is it to trailer to where you launched from?thanks for sharing.
I'm not an expert but I was 60ish feet and had to on a couple of the fish but not all of them. Further out we had to do all of them. I think reel speed had something to do with it at the 60 range
I think it depends on the type of fish I’ve noticed for example that the only one that really seems to struggle in the depths that we are fishing is the strawberry grouper everything else seems to recover and go down easily.
I love this channel just to hear some old classic Sublime jams. Including “Bad Fish”.

If there’s grunts and porgies there the hogfish probably aren’t far away!

Great video What’s your set up , rods,line,leader,hooks ?
We’re using bull bay assault rods, 15lb team fish line braid, 20lb team fish line fluorocarbon, and 1oz Tampa bay fishing channel stewie jigs in pink.
@@badfishtv3813 thank you for the reply. Keep up the good work and stop shading your backgrounds 😂😂😂😂
Do you ever fish from the shore? Or is it not really worthwhile?
Yes we do a lot of shore/wade fishing and it is definitely worth while we’ve caught a lot of quality fish doing it!
Look at that water! Glass!!!!
What flooring is that on your boat? I like it! Very interested. Awesome video
It’s safefloor their shop is on cockroach bay road in Ruskin great company, lifetime warranty, and very reasonable price!
That’s the ramp I always use. I live right next to Palmetto high loo
What kind of jig or hook were you using? I’ve never seen those before
Looked like Hogballs or similar.
Tampa Bay Fishing Channel, Stewie Jig
They are made by Tampa bay fishing channel it’s a 1oz Stewie jig which is a lead connected directly to the hook by a D ring.
Great day!
I don't even like fish but i tried fried grunt right after we caught them and they're delicious
At what depth do you need to start venting fish at?

seems like the frozen skrimps work just as well as the live
They have for me, sometimes better.
@@badfishtv3813 ever try pass crabs?
I thought you couldn’t catch hog fish on hook and line😂😂😂😂.
That’s what they say🤣
