Well that is tough to answer as I did all new avionics also. She has 3 levels for both paint and interior. I did the top level which I think is around 35K for paint and I am not sure on the interior.
@@billbarnard7328 that seems reasonable for the type of work they do! I don’t think they use any decals, it’s all paint. Also, whoever does their interior does a great job! Thanks for watching the channel! If you like any of the other vids, hit the thumbs up!
The work is really great I bought the plane in May and got the avionics work completed in September then took it back late November for the paint and interior. I flew up to the shop and got to see the paint and interior work first hand which is probably better than the factory in my opinion. The interiors are sent out to SCS in Minnesota, who I believe does the factory models also. I bought an 07 SR22 GTS TN with just a little over 100 hrs SMOTH. I wanted the 07 so I could put the avidyne stack in along with the DFC 90 AP which I think is much better than the old G 1000 with zero path for upgrade. I am hopeful avidyne will come out with the new PFD/MFD that will be similar to the Garmin TXI’s soon. Once that is complete I think I will have basically a brand new Cirrus for 1/2 the price of a new one. It has been a long road to get to this point but 20 days and counting :)
This plane has since come for sale and I considered buying, but I felt seller was a little high on asking. I’m currently in closing on another SR20G2 and I’m very excited to participate in a similar journey bringing it home. This is my first aircraft purchase.
Wow! Congrats on the new plane. Enjoy the ride home! In my opinion, buying a plane and flying it back home is a "bucket list" event that most people will never experience! Savor it.
@@QuantumFly Thanks! I bought the plane in December and did exactly that, flew it home with an experienced ferry pilot. It was a moment I'll never forget. I recently completed the transition training and am loving every moment of my G2 20.
No, we flew back on an IFR plan. My CFI acted as PIC during the journey. I am now working on my IFR and you can track that on this site as well. Most later G3’s will have the Garmin Perspective avionics, but I think the early G3’s still came with some Avidyne systems.
@@QuantumFly IFR back with your CFI, but you guys were doubting was MSA meant? mmmm. Cool video, but if your CFI doesn't know MSA, you should doubt his credentials.... hint: it is NOT mean sea level in feet....
@@robertg5393 nobody doubts what the Minimum Sector Altitude is. The scene you were referring to is Vern confused as to why the previous owner had that programmed into the Garmin 430. The previous owner had lots of strange stuff in the self-program notes area of the GPS. Glad you are enjoying the content and watching so intently! Don’t forget to Like and subscribe!
I really dig that bird!
I bought a SR22 from Jamie in May. Currently getting paint and interior with them now. Hope to get it the end of the month. Fun video
They were great to buy from! No issues. Do you mind if I ask what that project cost you? I’d like to get mine done some day.

Nice, Steel Aviation is a great company... Congrats...
I absolutely agree! Jaime and Danny were awesome!

Nice video. Smooth landing.
Were you flying back via VFR rules? Looking to pick up a G2 or G3 after I finish up my ppl. Good Video!

Minimum Safe Altitude....... "MSA". Just in case you guys hadn't figured it out yet. Nice audio/video quality.
How much did you pay?
I’ve since sold my SR20, but after adding an Avidyne IFD540, ADSB and AXP322 remote transponder, I had nearly $200K into the plane.
Stop the silly music!
Any recommendations?
