First of all, thank you for having watching my video. Well, I checked the Korg's US website ( www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/ ) and they don't mention it; then I checked US Amazon ( www.amazon.com/s?k=korg+volca&ref=nb_sb_noss ) and they don't have it... Therefore I think it is not available in the US yet... But it should arrive, I think. I can't imagine Korg sells it in Europe and not in North-America.
@@normandyflash Yes it is but I'll have to wait till the end of Oct to receive it. Korg won't send out shipments till the end of the month here in the US.
In fact, I really like the Akai MPX 16, the only bad thing about it is the fact it has not built in sequencer... That is the reason why Volca Sample is a wonderful machine... And this version 2 allows transfer with USB... Let be clear: I did not test it yet but it includes a software called VOLCA SAMPLE LIBRARIAN and it seems you can do drags and drops from a computer... I hope I did reply correctly to all your answers. ;o) With this link, you can see on Google Images how it looks like (the software I mean): www.google.com/search?q=VOLCA+SAMPLE+LIBRARIAN&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjR3ZSZuLPwAhXNC2MBHRaOAm8Q_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1024&bih=625
@@normandyflash Thanks for your prompt reply. It seems the Volca software only works on Windoze, which I don't have. But maybe the memory would appear as an internal SD card/hard drive on Linux. I will wait until you have had a chance to properly explore it. I have an Arturia Beatstep Pro which I could use to sequence MPX16, I'm still trying to make up my mind between buying the MPX or the Volca. Kind regards.
@@pauljenkins4987 I have a Raspberry machine which uses Raspbian, a Linux based OS; I gonna make a test for you right now. It is 00:01 in the night in France; stay tuned, I'll be back.
@@pauljenkins4987 00:16 am / I am back: sorry, I did test all the USB ports on my Raspberry Pi (Raspbian (Linux Debian OS based)) and the Volca Sample 2 is not detected. :o(
@@pauljenkins4987 About the Akai MPX16, you have to know that in midi, you can ONLY use the channel 1; and there is no way to change this channel... :o(

@@ildafons Oh, now I get it; look carefully the begining of the video: all my Volcas are located in the living-room wich I do not consider as a studio; therefore this brand new Volca Sample 2 is located in my real studio which is in my bedroom (which I do not use as a bedroom but as a studio). ;o) And I truly beg you pardon for my mistunderstanding.

J’adore l’ambiance de la vidéo! :)
Merci. ;o) Et bonne année 2021 ! ;o)

Is it available in the US? If not, when? Nice vid. Cat wants to play. LOL!

And how is this a volca sample 2? It's just a regular sample, there is now volca sample "2".
yes pal, this new volca sample 2 includes a usb input and some new features over the "version 1 sample"
