The swamp is a place that seems like a normal video game location with nothing special but as you uncover the layers and go through the quests you realise how fascinating and creepy it is
Im 25 now, the last time i played this game i was like 14 yo. Good times, and its Still my favorite game of all time
i think, visually and graphically its the best location in the first game. coz its a swamp but beautiful one. also the enemies n story was better here.
really liked gramps.... gave a nice twist as well.
@@davide5932 Aye... Although right from the start, I KNEW there had to be something fishy about him considering he was able to survive just fine all by his lonesome in a swamp full of monsters. :P
and especially the old dude cannibal
The swamp was one of the most memorable places of all video games I ever played
Memorable in a bad way
@@elgranhermano8872 Like Velen
@@GAPLATER yeah
But i hate skellige more tbh
@@elgranhermano8872 really? i thought skellige was the best part of witcher 3 base game.. .but the DLCs were better anyway.
@@elgranhermano8872 good way*
0:54 this gets me every time
The first witchers soundtrack was on a whole other level.
Witcher 1 is still my favorite witcher game, and easily in my top 5 cRPG's.
it felt something new and had its own thing. the newer ones while still awesome changed too much. the combat and potion drinking changed in 2 and the weapons degrading in 3
I hope someday I can see a remake of this game with the same soundrack. This is probably the best Witcher game.
I replaced witcher 1 soundtrack in witcher 3. Completely new experience
CD projekt RED confirmed they are working with another group on remake, its official now 🥳
I hope they retain most of the story, music, art design and game play mechanics. Just give it a higher fidelity current generation game look. @@HalfBakedPotat
@@NightQueen01 Hoping Vesemir, Geralt, Triss and Shani retain their Witcher 3 looks though with just higher polycount, better hair and 4k textures.
Witcher was and is my favourite game of all time. I was playing it since 2007, and I was playing like all my free time until today. Thanks to this game I moved to Poland, learned Polish and English and it was the easiest way to learn those languages because I literally know 90% of dialogues of this game. 90% of dialogues in all the languages I speak. There's no game in the entire world with such atmosphere and music. Swamp theme I think is one of my favorites, because this place is full of mystery. The people here are not what they seem. grandfather is a cannibal, cultists of an incomprehensible cult, a bunch of corpses of unknown origin. A mysterious ancient tower, the keys to which you collect throughout the chapter. Wherever you are in this location, you have a sense of the discoverer of these lands. It's a pity that many people passed the game without talking to anyone, from ordinary people. they don't give out quests, but they can share very useful information. I have been trying to understand what items can be used on the water altar for a long time. And I am still tormented by the mystery of making an elixir from the Vapors of the Hunt. I also remember that several times I managed to get to a closed mill in the first chapter. if anyone knows anything about this, I'd be glad to know too. Is there anyone who spent hundreds or thousands of hours in this game?
How did u get to the closed mill??is it possible??if i remember good u are here only with that girl but u can't see what is inside..about water altar u can find information in google about it,i don't remember myself because i never succeed to guess too. I played this game maybe 15times and o only recently i knew that u can save girls jn 4th chapter that became ghosts or that Geralt can discover that it's Azar who took body's or detective and reveal this too him, they start to fight but Geralt always dies and game finishes)
@@snowflake_angie it is, but probably it depends from the version of the game. I've been there, it's 100%, I can even describe the interior and the loadscreen
@@nikitakobzar9372 but hooow,i googles and didn't find anything, only quest with Rita but we don't see how is it inside
@@snowflake_angie I don't know bro, but I swear to god that you can enter it. The game has a lot of mysteries init, like for example a key from the sewers, or the special ingridient you can get from the King of the Hunt. Im still wondering if you can brew a potion from this. I see you are really curious about the game, just like I am, so I would like to talk to you, and I will tell you everything I found out in this game for my 15 years of playing.
Ba-ba-ba
I only started the Witcher series a year ago now I'm onto the third after a hard trudge through the second Witcher and still I'm thinking of this and thinking about needing to go back to this game.
You definitely should mate. You can't find the atmosphere here in any other game.
How did you feel after the 3rd one?
So creepy,
better than many tracks in witcher 3
But the place was very wide and hard so it gets bad feeling when you lesitn to this which is something they avoided in witcher 2 & 3
the others fall into the modern music eras too. almost all older games had that repeating music loops which is lacking in most modern games and we grow to love those music pieces. i hardly know any memorable music pieces from modern games
@@murtazarizvi368 blood and wine had great tracks as well. hos as well.
This music is so hardly engraved in my soul
Drowners... Drowners everywhere
dont forget the Bloedzuigers! I always loved watching them explode and spray acid! On top of that their blood is a very valuable ingredient, so its good to farm for money.
@Wojtek Ciągała can you play through the whole game with fcr without bugs?
Best RPG game :)
Шикарнейшая музыка.
This one needs some rainymood!
Witcher 1 Soundtrack... some parts sounded like straight from a horror game.
It was the first really dark and creepy RPG for me. Do not get me wrong the
other games are great too but the first game was CREEPY. 2 and 3 not so much!
Yeah 1 nails creepiness the best but 3 certainly nails cinematography and action the best. Like I feel they each have something truly special they bring to the table but nothing got the sense of hidden dread that 1 did, like when the monsters prowled the streets at night, so well done.
@@procerus4789 Yeah, I think Witcher 1 nailed the horror/tension feeling of the setting the best. As Geralt, you worked on the outskirts of civilization a lot, where dark and hungry monsters out of nightmares lurk just out of sight, and humans are basically reduced to barricading themselves in their homes when night falls and praying they'll live to see the dawn. It all lent itself to a feeling that while we had our cities and armies, humanity was very much NOT the master of the world. That changes in W2 and 3, where Geralt is swept up in grander plots of kings and sorceresses. They're still fascinating and wonderful games, of course, but it's kind of like comparing Diablo 1 with the later entries; the first game had a dark, brooding gothic horror feel that was lost in the sequels as you grew in power and importance.
@@Zaxares Exactly, great comparison mate! The dark, claustrophobic feeling of terror disappeared in Diablo 2, when the wider landscapes of the wilderness, desert, jungle and icy mountains appeared. They are still grim and full of horror, but in a different way. Both games are legendary though. Like the Witcher series.
Nice,very relaxing song.
Im have stress and I'm worried that drowners and leeches and archespores will kill me.
The swamp is the place that I hate the most..... The music is so creepy especially the jump scare music at 0:55. Monsters abounds, invisible walls around the Mage’s Tower, drowners, drowned deads, and bloedzuigers are so annoying.
Water lords are neigh
It was one of the most beautifull place druid grove
And echinops
grinded here forever until i could pay the bounty
I'm not a gamer at all...well, I play yahtzee n scrabble...however I'm finding a lot of gaming ambience videos are the perfect companion to the creepy n scary stories that I like to listen to.. both the audio n visual in this video is choice!! I must give it extra props for being ssssooooo delightfully spooky!! I hit both like n subscribe, looking forward to seeing more of your videos
You must give the games a try, Ma'am. Everyone can find something for themselves here ^^
Thank you for the perfect trick or treat music! :D
Wow. I love this
Fuckin` swamp) Very dangerous location!
the most impressive ost, btw this location so creepy and making flashbacks about RE:4 (eery atmosphere)
This soundtarcks :D it's tw1
I loved the atmosphere while farming in the swamps. and w1 ost mixes really well with kenshi gameplay as well :)
Получилось круто.

Witcher 3 guys don’t understand the meaning of swarming enemies
You can treat velen as the swamp of noobies
the swamp wouldnt be bad if we didnt had to venture soo many times with the creatures. it was my fav place visually

Będę pisał po Polsku bo to nasza Polska gra. Problem macie translator.
