I will never forget my time with this game. Building memories and friendships with everyone in Castaway Village. Adventuring, getting closer, and exploring and uncovering the secrets of the Isle of Seiren. Learning the fate of the Eternian's and the endless cycle of destruction and evolution. Challenging the very concept of evolution itself, thwarting its plans, and eventually parting ways, with everyone returning to their lives as if it had never happened. If there's one thing I personally took away from this diamond of a game, It's that sometimes the journey is way better than the destination, no matter the situation you're currently in. Love and cherish those closest to you, because everyone walks a different path in life, and yours may not cross forever. So enjoy the time you spend together, and never forget the memories you've shared.
This game was a really joy to see. I'll be honest the beginning didn't grab my attetion but when the story pick up it became something that I needed to pay attetion all the way through. this game is a gem.
So all of this could've been avoided if Maia had her morning coffee? Dana's ending is very much a bittersweet one. She's finally attained peace, but again gets separated from everybody she cares for. At least now we know why it's called the Lacrimosa of Dana. Great game through and through!
This is one of the few video games where I was legitimately attached to the heroine. Really great characters. I hope they do something with Dana in a future Ys game, though I'm not sure what.
Well...she atleast gets to be with "Sarai" I guess? I would certainly like to see her make a cameo in a future Ys game, but I imagine they went with the Goddess route in order to write her out for future entries, sadly.
But again no one is in his next Adventure from the Girls, is sad that no one travels with him, no matter what they do in the next Adeventure fight with him or do other things, only Dogi is in and he has ever a other Job in the Adventure.
If Dana does reincarnate into a mortal human with blue hair, maybe Adol will end up marrying her. Or maybe he'll marry some other girl he just met in either YS 11 or 12.
Just finished the game and got the true ending. I found it to be very bittersweet. Every one leaves the island and return to their normal lives, but Dana becoming the Goddess of Evolution and not being able to join them felt kind of heart-wrenching for some reason. At least the good thing is she didn't stay dead or forgotten thankfully, and that she'll always continue to watch over everything, and everyone. But all in all, I am glad to have played this game, and I loved every bit of it!!!! The Ys series never disappoints!!!!!
Took being a goddess of evolution to make Dana wear more clothes... Was an enjoyable game but kind of a pity that the other castaways didn't bring much to the story. Never forget Master Kong! T_T
I liked that the other Castaways just had their own little story instead, makes it easier to develop them while keeping the story more focused on Dana and Co.
Truly one of the more saddening Ys games. But definitely one with the most plot so far. Loved the ride......only gripe was chap 2 felt a bit pointless except for expressing the "balances of the world" philosophy. That it needs good and evil and all that jazz. While the lacrimosa and the protectors are not evil by any means, they proved that the harsh truths of it keep the equilibrium. That even in beating that truth, doesn't stop it.
Adol literally destroyed reality, forced a goddess to make a new world in saving it & all he got is a hug LOL But for real, great game & good true ending. I hope next Ys should up the graphics though, for an actual main platform series.
sadly i doubt it will happen ys series is just not a AAA game, and it reflected to the overall sales which isn't impressive. so we might not see that kind of improvement
