What’s special about maglev isn’t just the speed - it’s that they use WAY less energy, just a fraction of what regular trains need. Right now, only China, Japan, and South Korea have maglev trains running commercially.
I took the train 20 years ago, the same price and the same speed. it was built at 2003 or 2004, at that time frame China start to build the high-speed train, there were two technical routes. this train was built by German just for technology demostrate, but China give up this solution as the cost is very expensive. I still remember I just need pay 8 yuan by bus from the airport to downtown, finally I decided to try this train, it cost me 50 yuan , in fact 300km/h can only maintain a few seconds as the distance is too short.
Ah thanks for sharing this experience. Also the context about the build and the operating of this line, I did wonder if the shortness of the line had an impact on its ability to get to speed!
Looks like you have tried all kind of transportation in China. Hopes next time when I travel around you can be my transportation guide I mean if I'm lucky.
Welcome back to China next time, do you know? The cities you went to are called "novice villages" by Chinese netizens, which means there is no difficulty. Next time you can come to my city Dalian or my hometown Ningxia, although it is very unknown
Thank you, I do not know yet when I will be back, but I will be back for sure! Oh thanks for the recommendations I will look into visiting these next time! 🙏
Unfortunately, starting from May 1st, 2020, the maximum operational speed of maglev trains has been reduced to 300 km/h, whereas before that, the maximum speed was 430 km/h.
Welcome to China. You are really brave. You even went to many Chinese scenic spots that even Chinese people have never been to.
Thank you for your comment, I hope I have shown people some non locals in China some other places to visit :) 🙏

Have a nice trip on your next stop. And hopefully we can see you some time soon in China. Miss you already ❤

it must be a very special experience then ,good luck with your next trip, love your videos❤️
Will you feel uncomfortable because the speed of the magnetic levitation train is too fast? It is really fast. I look forward to your next journey!
It was really fast, I was disappointed it was not the maximum speed though 😌

Thank you for sharing that, Do you know why?
it's not faster than high speed trains now. I tried in 2018 . In memory, U have have discount if u have boarding pass.
Ah yes I am learning of this now in the comments, Its a shame the speed is restricted!
*It is interesting. I tried this maglev 20 years ago. GREAT episode.*
Thank you. Wow. You were ahead of the times then!
Me too, I also took that maglev train which travels at 430km/hr max from airport to the city area. It was simply amazing in the year 2003!
