As much as I'd like them to buyout Suter, I think he's going to be on the roster next year if they don't resign Tanev. If they do resign Tanev, they can work to sign a younger 3rd pair D they trust to play NHL minutes for depth and buy out Suter. I'm curious what happens with Nils Lundkvist.
Stars fan here. Need to buy out suter and have 6’5 Lian Bichsel and get rid of Faksa and replace him with Bourque. From what it looks like, Duchene loves Dallas so I would resign him. Resign tanev if possible, resign Pav for cheap. Resign Wedgwood for cheap.
This Mika hate is insane, from everyone. Buddy had a "bad year" for his standards, and was still at A POINT PER GAME PACE!!! Its also much easier to play against the first line of the Rangers WHEN THEY DONT HAVE A RIGHT WINGER. Get that right winger; Mika and Krieder will have way more freedom and will perform significantly better. Now as for the powerplay, that might be a different story. Mika seemed really snake bitten all year at the thing hes supposed to be best at. However, I dont think that makes his contract bad at all, and this hate just needs to stop, from everyone. He isnt going anywhere, and only because he has one medicore season doesnt mean he should
Also, the rangers will continue to be extremely competitive, even after two years. They have a lot of great yound forwards and defensman in the system (Othmann, Perrault, Berard, Sykora, Jones showed flashes this year), Chytil should breakout next season. And if the worry is the core getting to old, their contracts all expire soon, so you either bring them back for less or you go to the market and add pieces, its not as black and white as people make it seem

According to Friedman the Dallas locker room was pretty emotional when asked about Pavelski so it sounds like he’s done. Unless the sharks are interested in him taking a 1 year 2-3mil deal to be a 3rd line center to help mentor Celebrini and smith, as well as have some insurance down the middle should Couture be out, it sounded like he’s done.

Duchene: Liked his compete early, disappeared for the most part down the stretch, playoffs outside Colorado clincher he was a ghost making mistakes Tanev: Would resign if the term and money work with our players coming off ELC's. We have 0 RHD outside Hakanpaa who most people think sucks. Clearly dont watch him play. Other UFA's Smith, thank you for your service. Hakanpaa resign without doubt for the cost he has been at 1.5m. Wedgewood would resign if cap hit is right, he has been solid. RFA Harley: Go ahead and lock him up if you can with everyone else as he is at minimum a 2nd pairing D-man. Bridge likely Johnston: If we can make it work go ahead and give him a 8 year deal, remembering we have Robo and Otter as well. Other RFA's Resign Dellandrea, Steel and Trade Lundkvist. Not sure he figures given his play style. Buyouts: Suter, should never have been signed given our needs and Luke Schenn being available at a bargain cost. Now a Pred. Possible signings... I'd probably keep Barclay Goodrow & give him a shot at Top 6 Lines Minutes. It might be that they haven't given him A Chance, with Roslovic/other players. While I had some Big Criticism of others & him, they might only need A Shot. Let me know what you think. I'm thinking that they need to get some of these Bottom 6 on The Top Lines. Jacob Trouba has definitely got to go. I think that they need to play Panarin, Zib/others playing on The Top Lines during Regular Seasons, then drop them down after The Regular Season is over (it'll be a preparation for what will be coming in The Future).
I think Bichsel will get his fair share of games next year especially after in the playoffs if Tanev would’ve missed time they would’ve put Bichsel in over Nils maybe 1 year instead of 2-3
