Minter was one of the biggest negotiation points between the Chargers and Harbaugh. Harbaugh negotiated that he would bring his staff, specifically Minter, and make sure Spano’s is ok paying him.
I’m confused on how none of you reporting how Jim and 70 players got baptized 🤔 The way this season went no one couldn’t ever say Michigan didn’t have faith. Faith got us a National Championship and it brung the fans together; plus people that wasn’t fan came together. What happened this year was a miracle.
I really like the hire. But we’re going to have to be a little bit patient here. Next year was going to be tough no matter if it’s Jim or Sherrone or even Jay or Jesse. People say young coach. Okay now I don’t usually think not even 40. I didn’t realize exactly how young of a guy he was. Some people might say that he’s unqualified. Those people aren’t Jim Harbaugh, so I don’t tend to listen to them. My first hope is that we will start recruiting better because of hopefully increased stability at the HC position. My second hope is that we will be the pipeline for staffer development for the Chargers now and maybe still the Ravens. We got Jim’s guy. That was important.
People don't give warde any credit for not firing Harbaugh when all these complainers wanted him to. These are the same people who said fire Warde when he gave Harbaugh more time. When Sherone Moore kills it at Michigan Warde will be a hero. Just like Harbaugh is now a hero from being a zero lol. He went from zero to hero a few times back to zero and now the ultimate hero! Jim that is. People will never be happy! Someone will always be upset. I for one am probably one of the few that are grateful to Jim but relieved he is gone. I was so sick of hearing his name in the news 24/7. I'm not sure there was one day in his entire 9 seasons that he wasn't in the news! No more negative recruiting talking about "oh their coach doesn't even want to be there"! Thank God our staff is the best developmental staff ever because man his NFL stuff hindered recruiting a lot I think. I think it cost them 10 spots in the recruiting rankings each year. Jim just never seemed to care about that. I always had this feeling that Jim Harbaugh cared way more about himself than Michigan. Holding them hostage every season. Promising to not do something if he could just keep his job. Yes it turned out great and you know what, build the guy a statue and I'm super grateful for the staff as well but it feels a bit of a relief it's over with the Harbaugh era! It felt like being on a rollercoaster ride in complete darkness and not knowing when the next big drop was going to hit. You know it's coming and your stuck in the car because you choose to ride that particular coaster but your freaking out wondering when the next drop would come
He cut his pay, so he DID respond to the "complainers". He forced Jim to make some coaching staff moves, something he REFUSES to do to his homeboy and failure, Juwan Howard.
Moore was the only logical choice here, to keep players from leaving. I've been saying on our sites that Moore and Minter were the real driving force behind the turnaround, so losing Jim isn't that big of a deal with Moore being named HC. Losing Minter would really hurt, but you return enough guys that the replacement coach should still be successful. Looking forward to seeing y'all in the Shoe. Go Bucks!!!
I think culture is at least as important as the coach. When you have both who understand it, that's worth more than Xs and Os. The first year or two will be up and down, but Moore has a gigantic heart, cares about the players, can recruit like a god, and is a genuine person. Start prepping on The Game 🎯
Not at this point. Harbaugh waited so players couldnt leave (classes have started) and that if any big name coach was out there, another school would already have grabbed them up. This was calculated
I think the majority of the base would agree...this is the guy! You can't have any better than an on the job performance which makes Harbaughs suspension a blessing in diguise. In retrospect, I didn't want someone who didn't go through the 2020 covid year then be part of the turn around going through the rebuild , being a soldier promoted to now a general. He's from Oklahoma but he's been baptized in the maize and blue. He knows what it takes!
Congrats, Coach Moore, continue your faith because this is a true blessing. You've been around this program long enough. To know the expectations at the michigan football program. Be great, continue the culture and hard work. Put your mark on the next QB,that's going to be a major grade for you. Develop a great QB, and your football program will continue to win and have a great culture. LETS GO!!
I had a feeling that when Harbaugh was mentioning Moore as a Michigan guy, that Moore would be the head coach. I'm really looking forward to what he's capable of doing for Michigan.
If advanced scouting has no bearing on the outcome of games, why such an elaborate scheme...especially if you think the team is already better than your chief rivals?
I see losses to Texas and Oregon likely. Ohio State has made talent upgrades at many positions, other than head coach, which enhances our chances. We’ll go in there likely with 2 losses and all the pressure will be on Coach 3rd base, pressure he has heretofore not handled well, especially against us. I don’t think we’ll have the depth to go deep in the playoff, but that’s fine. There’s a price to paid for having the phenomenal team we had last year, loaded with upperclassmen.
@@DeshCanter The D will remain strong enough to carry them thru September. They may not have the depth for a deep playoff run as of now. But there's lots of time between now and then for plenty to emerge. I'd be very surprised if Jayier Hill doesn't emerge by next season.
@@GaSw-dh8mj I hope you’re right. Texas will be a tough early draw. The D will have to create some TO’s, I think, to win that one. Oregon will be a complete, albeit still a PAC12, team. Ohio State, as always, will be talented, but with Ryan Day at the helm, they may just crap the bed against us again. Sherrone won’t be outcoached; that’s for sure.
@DeshCanter By the Oregon game fewer questions will remain un answered than remain. By that point we'll know what we have on the OL. And that is going to be the biggest story of the season.
It’s amazing how culture is the code word. Convenience quelled harbaughs departure but the theatre will continue.if you suited up kitchen conversations will be centered around riding the pines blocking for someone who is being paid and loyalty. Is that word still used
Jim Harbaugh is hardly worth my mention anymore, for the way he left. Saying that he's a loyal Wolverine, at a Chargers press conference is insincere, dishonest, and disingenuous. That's why I am furious with Jim Harbaugh. And that's why I am furious with the Michigan fanbase labeling me as disloyal, ungrateful, and fairweather for criticizing Jim Harbaugh and his decision. I'm tired of the hate I am getting.
Stop being salty bro, you’re spewing absolute bs. If it wasn’t for coach Harbaugh we’d be irrelevant as a program. I was an undergrad from 2010-2014 and I remember the rich rod & hoke years. He brought us a natty. I’m sure you’re an amazing person so stop spewing this bs which makes you sound completely disconnected and maybe you’ll stop receiving hate for it 🤷♂️
That means you just need to take a breather and shut down all of the news regarding this and enjoy what the 2023 season brought. It'll be fine. This happens more often than you think among head coaches that win.
I would posit that more of the blame goes on to Warde Manuel and the Michigan Regents. Harbaugh asked them to do certain things for them and to show him some love, they wouldnt do that till the 23rd hour. Michigan dropped the ball here. Why arent you raging at who caused this? WARDE MANUEL!!!!!
Facts are whether we think Coach Sherrone was ready or not Ward thought he was. If anything Ward has proven to make great decisions i.e keeping a Jim Harbaugh that went 2-4
First you defend Manuel’s ineptness. Now you’re defending Rodriquez. I see it clear as day. Thank you for your hard work. Wish you continued success in 2024. I’m out - can’t listen to such bull sh*t. Jesus Chris wasn’t biased.
Hole has connections inside the program. I believe criticizing Warde will lose him those connections Any podcaster who has connections to the program REFUSES, let me repeat tha, they COMPLETELY REFUSE to criticize Warde Manuel. This is all we need to know about Warde, he doesnt allow criticism of his failures, hes a soft entitled, weak, POC.
Go Blue , what everyone who thinks that this is a bad hire fail to realize is this fact , football is a game of trenches the line of scrimmage is were games are won and lost. Michigan’s line play on both sides is were they have started this three year domination look at the film from the past , and Bo would simply laugh and smile at the way JH and staff and players got it done ✅ Run it back and Go Blue!!!💛💙
SM is your O-line coach in 2021-OC - 2022- interim coach 4-0 2023- Head Coach 2024 lets not think just because he is 🤎he is some unqualified woke hire this man is built for this!! Go Blue and would everyone stop with the Warde hate he has regents to answer to plus Ono I doubt he wanted JB to go to the NBA or Bakich to leave for Clemson or the coach who replaced Red the legend to leave due to conflict behind the scenes with certain players. At the end of the day U of M is a serious institution of learning and actually wants to be known as such meaning its the reason for the lack of NIL money plus the lack of five star recruits in football . Snobby Michigan is not Alabama or Georgia or Texas or Ole Miss , you get the point , football is king down south and the ohio state just signed a new AD from the SEC stating as such that football is king at osu . 2+2 =4 and if y’all would understand Michigan is not going to pay 💰 to an eighteen year old coming out of high school no matter his athletic promise to help the program win games. The competition however will pay because the advertising money, gambling money is a revenue booster for the University’s bank account.
Hilarious that anyone could say anything positive about a Texas team lost to a Washington team Michigan beat by three touchdowns. Texas choked and will be an easy win.
Congratulations, HC-Sherrone Moore, for stewardship to be patrolling the sidelines, @AnnArbor. Sherrone Moore, we trust! Happy New Year to you, sir, & always, GOBLUE-NATTYUP🏆!
Hire ex-All-American Wolverine, Pittsburg Steelers which is currently now LB-C in Tampa Bay Buccaneers Larry Foote, C-Moore should consider giving him a shout-out.?
Moore has been OC alone for a year, has never been a head coach before on any level, yet now hes supposed to be the answer to maintain success in the B1G??? Theres a big difference between standing in for a suspended coach and being the actual head coach. Moore wont last 3 years.
Your defense of Warde Manuel, your bending the knee to his demands, is why I wont subscribe again. Also, your Michigan insider likes to lie to you and give you mis and dis-information.
When it comes to Ohio st fans , theyve become beyond ridiculous. They say Michigan had a ton of 6th year guys they had 1, Mike Barrett. They say the whole team is decimated...they bring back a bulk of that defense plus Edwards Loveland and Morgan on offense. They refuse to look in the mirror , and cry cheating. But your coach was outfoxed, your players don't step up when it matters. Bottom line
I don't think we would have gone 10 and 2, even if we still had Harbaugh. We're going to lose so many players to the draft and when you couple that with the gauntlet of a season we're about to have 10 and 2 seems kind of outlandish
The Pac 12 Teams that are joining the Big 10 don't scare anyone for real. Lincoln Riley is a worse version of Ryan Day. Who really trusts Chip Kelly? Washington is losing about as much as we are, so who fears them?
With Jim running the show 10+ wins was def doable as long as Minter stayed. Without Minter it doesnt matter who the HC is Michigan would not have won the natty this past year and they wont win more than 8 games next year.
I think 10 wins would have been a good outcome next year regardless of who is coaching. Big talent loss, QB is a question, lots of tough games. And I will be OK with that. 2025 should be a good year though…
I think people are more interested in what was on Weiss' computer and what evidence Partridge destroyed rather than cheeseburgers(Harbaugh in person recruiting violations) and grainy iphone footage(advanced scouting).
The only person interested in what was on Weiss computer and Partridge and cheeseburgers would be Ryan Day and his investigation team who are still looking for Lou Holtz
Well you do know that Weiss was fired for skipping a disciplinary hearing with UM regents after it was discovered that he was illegally accessing (hacking) UM computer servers right?
Michigan gave that man a terrible contract. Sherrone will make 500k at the power 5 school Michigan and the only way he can get to a 5 million is through incentives. Bad deal for him. Name me a power 5 head coach making 500k base salary? Basically he's a placeholder.
I disagree. Kirby Smart had never been a head coach a long with others when they got thier first opportunity & they got paid way more. I'm not just blaming michigan, because he should have never taken such a lack luster deal. You do know there are position coaches making 500k a year right?

Go Bucks!!!
We are going to KICKYOURASS, @SHOE! Wanna bet? Wager you Buckets are going to have quite possibly 2-3L's! Always, GOBLUE-NATTYUP🏆!
I need a therapist.
I think culture is at least as important as the coach. When you have both who understand it, that's worth more than Xs and Os. The first year or two will be up and down, but Moore has a gigantic heart, cares about the players, can recruit like a god, and is a genuine person.
Start prepping on The Game 🎯
Recruit like a god??? Don't confuse this program with Georgia or Bama. You're going too far now.
The big downfall of the Rich Rod era was the hiring of Rich Rd.
The big downfall of the rich Rod era was Rich Rod not taking the job at alabama.
Did they really have another option? Was there any other serious contender considering the possibility of sanctions?
Exactly
Not at this point. Harbaugh waited so players couldnt leave (classes have started) and that if any big name coach was out there, another school would already have grabbed them up.
This was calculated
They better start searching for their next option soon. Moore won't last 3 years
@@Kemeticthought Yeah that makes sense
Going to be interesting
Note the sense of choice and the inference that time must be given to this new hire.
Coach Moore has earned it. Any other choice would not have felt right.
I’m excited. Michigan will be fine. ✊🏾
Check out his quote from the SI article. The man is motivated and ready and I love his attitude!
LETS GO!!
I love the hiring 100% however they disrespected him by lowball him very disrespectful, especially how he coached when he was in charge of the team
I’m very excited Sherrone Moore got the head coach position
I had a feeling that when Harbaugh was mentioning Moore as a Michigan guy, that Moore would be the head coach. I'm really looking forward to what he's capable of doing for Michigan.
If advanced scouting has no bearing on the outcome of games, why such an elaborate scheme...especially if you think the team is already better than your chief rivals?
10-2 with wins over Ohio State and Michigan State and a bowl win would be a perfect season given the returning roster.
10-2 with a win over Osuck puts them in the playoff.
@@GaSw-dh8mj
I hope you’re right.
Absolutely the correct move! Now sign the rest of the coaching staff
Let's increase the recruiting department and raise money for NIL...The Ford Foundation and GM can pony up 13 million...Go Blue
This surprises nobody
Will Moore have any NIL support that Harbaugh was trying to get
It’s amazing how culture is the code word. Convenience quelled harbaughs departure but the theatre will continue.if you suited up kitchen conversations will be centered around riding the pines blocking for someone who is being paid and loyalty. Is that word still used
Keep the culture and as much of that staff!!
You forgot Oregon and they seem to be loaded.
Yeah Oregon will be rough...very rough.
On the road against Washington doesn't concern me as much as it previously did. Oregon will be tough.
a clean winning program that's all I want...
That's all the entire nation wanted.
What!?
How dare he give us a national championship. Fuck you Jim!
Will Warde allow enough donations to go too the collective for a base salary?
Facts are whether we think Coach Sherrone was ready or not Ward thought he was. If anything Ward has proven to make great decisions i.e keeping a Jim Harbaugh that went 2-4
Please tap down on “SMASH”. We saw the lame “tuck comin” and he came and went. We don’t need a lame slogan
First you defend Manuel’s ineptness. Now you’re defending Rodriquez. I see it clear as day.
Thank you for your hard work. Wish you continued success in 2024. I’m out - can’t listen to such bull sh*t. Jesus Chris wasn’t biased.
Calm down buddy... Go get some fresh air
Rich Rod was bad -he changed the O did not have personnel-Mallett was not suited to it.
Rich Rods problem wasnt the Offense, it was the complete and utter lack of Defense.@@thomasorzack5795
Hole has connections inside the program. I believe criticizing Warde will lose him those connections
Any podcaster who has connections to the program REFUSES, let me repeat tha, they COMPLETELY REFUSE to criticize Warde Manuel.
This is all we need to know about Warde, he doesnt allow criticism of his failures, hes a soft entitled, weak, POC.
Rodriguez can in and try to run Michigan like a Pac 12 team. Not going to work and it doesn't.
Just beat Ohio 💪 Go Blue!
I dig it
This is so funny to see fans thinking this guy is ready. Lmao After Texas blows us the fuck out grab your ankles
Sorry to tell you that ain't happening. 😂〽️💛💙
Texas is returning Quinn Ewers and they didnt have their entire offense graduate or leave for the NFL.@@sheneedsme
Isiah, do you think if hypothetical, let's say the best AD. , ranked in college sports 'OU Joe Castiglione", could have resigned C-Harbaugh.?
Moore has been OC alone for a year, has never been a head coach before on any level, yet now hes supposed to be the answer to maintain success in the B1G??? Theres a big difference between standing in for a suspended coach and being the actual head coach. Moore wont last 3 years.
Thank god. Michigan got it right. Now are we keeping Herbert. Is Minter out if so we need a guy with a similar defense. Now who will be a new OC.
Your defense of Warde Manuel, your bending the knee to his demands, is why I wont subscribe again.
Also, your Michigan insider likes to lie to you and give you mis and dis-information.
Can he recruit? That’s all I care about
Finally! We can exhale!
Ryan Day is going to do it his way. Michigan can beat them again in 24.
FIRE WARDE MANUEL.
In Moore we trust 🖤
SMASH!!!!!
WE STRONG THEN
When it comes to Ohio st fans , theyve become beyond ridiculous. Bottom line
You're doing an awful lot of crying about tOSU.
@@Kemeticthought no no crying here...that's reserved for the losers
I don't think we would have gone 10 and 2, even if we still had Harbaugh. We're going to lose so many players to the draft and when you couple that with the gauntlet of a season we're about to have 10 and 2 seems kind of outlandish
Totally disagree. Way too much talent to not win 9-10 games. 〽️💛💙👊
The Pac 12 Teams that are joining the Big 10 don't scare anyone for real. Lincoln Riley is a worse version of Ryan Day. Who really trusts Chip Kelly? Washington is losing about as much as we are, so who fears them?
I see 8-9 wins which id be content with
With Jim running the show 10+ wins was def doable as long as Minter stayed.
Has Ryan Day fought Lou Holtz yet? Bet he lost, because Day is softer than Charmin! 😂〽️💛💙👊
Partridge didnt destroy any evidence. He lied to the NCAA investigators.
Well you do know that Weiss was fired for skipping a disciplinary hearing with UM regents after it was discovered that he was illegally accessing (hacking) UM computer servers right?
SMASH
Hail Yeah
Michigan gave that man a terrible contract. Sherrone will make 500k at the power 5 school Michigan and the only way he can get to a 5 million is through incentives. Bad deal for him. Name me a power 5 head coach making 500k base salary? Basically he's a placeholder.
Hes never been a HC before, they gave him a prove it contract (5.5m/year)which is exactly what he should have got.
I disagree. Kirby Smart had never been a head coach a long with others when they got thier first opportunity & they got paid way more. I'm not just blaming michigan, because he should have never taken such a lack luster deal. You do know there are position coaches making 500k a year right?
@@TruthTeller3000 Kirby was dominant as a DC, Moore has not been his offense has been pretty inconsistent at best ranking 67th below Louisiana tech(With Minters elite defense giving him the ball back over and over and over and over).... I love coach more as a position coach and a person but as a head coach idc what anyone says this is a super risky hire. One thing it will do though is keep the culture the same at least for a couple years depending how how the wins/losses pile up.
I thought he was only going to make $500 k too then I learned how to read
Its a prove me contract. Why does Sherone, with little head coaching experience deserves millions of guaranteed money?
