I appreciate you spending your time and effort to upload an honest review about your time with this car, you'll get a lot of "hate" in the comments, but that's what happens when people see you don't like the things they like, keep up the good work
Yeah I appreciate the comment. I’ve gotten death threats from this video and I just don’t understand the rage. I explained many times this was the cheapest model GM produces and people still have issues. I for one am thankful I was able to sell the trax shorty after this video and virtually loose no money. Even if I could keep one person from buying this car it was well worth it to make. Dissipate this being the cheapest model, there are still things that it should have that it simply doesn’t.
Nice looking inside and out, but no hybrid option, mediocre mpg for segment, and many hybrids available in segment for a bit more money. No AWD is problem for those living snowy, hilly area.
This car is for a young person just starting out... But it's also a Parent's DREAM!!! car for their child's first vehicle, a 20 something year old person will not have any complaints about this car.
Just bought an activ. I like it . 24500. If you want power, buy a hellcat. It gets from point a to point b. Its well equipped. I have a truck and wanted a second car and this fit the bill. Brand new under warranty.
How do you like it? I need a second car more family friendly. I have a 2 door truck I love, but I need something. I can have my wife and 2 dogs in maybe some luggage? Just looking for something decent 30 mpg is great compared to my truck! Lol
Yeah read my comment on this clown. The Trax it is so upgraded I gonna choose it over the Trailbazer, because it has real keys and a six speed trans is all you need. My 92 cavalier was 2.2cyl had 4 speed. Best car! my friend had a 1986 Chevy Sprint “70HP” 3cylinder had near 300,000 miles on it. This Trax engine is almost like my 138HP 1.6L 2013 Kia Soul I loved the car, picked up great for me.
You basically disqualified yourself with the review. Your other videos are Sportscars. This is a cuv. You talked about going 90mph which is against the law. Also you said you hit your head getting in.. I am 6'1" and have zero issue. The value of the price for a brand new vehicle is undeniable. You also got the lowest trim. Try a 2 RS. Also putting the steering wheel in your lap isn't normal. Been out for a year and a half overseas and nobody made the same comments you did.. No professional reviewers did either. Whatever you end up buying iam going to check every complaint price and also recalls. If a single online review states these issues you should quit posting reviews like this.
Please dont take this as being mean cause im honestly just curious but didnt you test drive it before buying?? I know you need to spend a little time with it to be sure but a good test drive you should be somewhat sure its what you like
most of the things he complained about you don't even notice until about a week or 2 driving the car, you're usually just so excited to get a new car you don't notice the little things that you might not like in your day to day driving
It’s an honest review, and I can appreciate that, buuuuuuuuut I’m confused about your “hate list”. MPG ratings (28-32 city/highway) isn’t calculated driving 80 mph, the speed and power issue was to be expected, this isn’t meant to be high performance. You’re 6ft or over? It’s to be expected you’re not going to rest comfortably. I feel like you were looking for a performance car, which this absolutely isn’t. Love your videos, but this review is a bit unfair.
My new 2024 trax has close to 1000 miles and so far so good. It's an upgrade to my 2018 Chevrolet cruze. I noticed he had the switch blade key which I decided I wanted the push button start. I'm not a lead foot driver plus I love to coast to all red lights and stop signs so my gas mileage is 30 mph and better. When I looked under the hood the engine has turbo stamped on it and it does get up and go. It does have all the Bells and whistles when driving. Both outside mirrors warn you of side traffic and warns you of the car in front of you with red blinking dots on the windshield. Only thing I would complain about is having to use my signals when switching lanes because it has a safety traction control to keep you in your lane and there is a little resistance when switching lanes. For those of you that text and drive great safety.
How much? I almost bought one yesterday but almost 28k for 1RS. And didn't include extended warranty that everyone should buy. Electronics are expensive.
Do you still like it? I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze and I need to get a new car now. I planned on having mine for a while, but the plandemic ruined that idea. I’m at 274,048 miles on mine now. Does it handle the same as our cruzes?
You should be signaling when changing lanes anyway. 😅 You don't even have to click the wand all the way down, just tilt it in either direction and the turn signal will blink three times and then stop.
I'm loving my Trax. No issues with acceleration for me. I'm averaging 32 MPG overall, on the highway about 38mpg. Of course you can't compare this to my mustang gt 5.0, but it's a practical, comfortable car at a price anyone could afford.
I have 2024 Trax Activ going on 7 months. The only I have the bothers the hell out of me is CarPlay and that sometimes the bluetooth doesn't communicate that good to my iPhone. So I have turn the car off and wait for the screen to turn completely off and then start it back and it's working again. With the price point of the Trax I didn't expect the throttle response to be that of a sports car. Steering is great and feels way better than a 2017 Sorento that I drove.
Interesting about the bluetooth. I've seen several other reviewers who have commented on that. I have a 2021 Chevy Spark, which I like, but it's bluetooth connectivity is crap. Have to re-connect almost every time I start the car and it will sometimes disconnect randomly while driving. This problem has never occurred with the Ford van we use at work so it looks like a GM thing to me.
For the price you paying, what are you expecting? Btw , also come with remote start, wireless CarPlay , also heated steering wheel, find me a same car at that price that offers same features,
I have never seen a Gage cluster move with my steering wheel. And I drive a BMW. I don't think that's a thing. This guy is being too picky at this point
I had a 2016 Camaro SS 6-speed with 455hp. Big change. But loving the Trax Activ I got so far. Saving money for my next build, either a '67 Vette or '69 Mustang. Great daily in the meantime, though.
I'll give you the buffeting sunroof & noisy AC compressor. The materials are on par with an entry-level GM product. Everything else is pretty much on you. I think a better title would be "Why I Regret Buying This Car." Thanks for putting out there, though. Especially the sunroof part. Easily overlooked on a test drive.
I have the 2RS with sun roof, heated seats and steering wheel and I love it. Your spoiled. What did you used to have a Lexus. What do you expect for $25.000 Stop. It’s a very good car. If you want a sports car go get one. I love it
I have one, runs great. I broke in the engine at 1000 miles, and has plenty of power, almost too much for this small of a car. Lookup how to break in an engine, you'll be surprised.
I had my Trax for six months now and still love it! All I can say is different strokes for different folks! Just because you didn't like yours, dont try discouraging other people about this vehicle. God Bless you to get a vehicle to match you happy.
It absolutely blows my mind that people are lining up to buy such a puny 1.2L turbo from Chevy... it's so damn cheap because you'll be paying for it down the road. You get what you pay for. I'll stick with my 2.5L turbo Mazda.
We love our Chevy Trax- especially the price. Why do people expect a BMW at this price? This is a great vehicle. Most of these complaints are personal preference and nit-picking.
I have a Chevy Sonic that I brought back in 2017 for an MSRP of $22,000. I think what Chevy did with the Trax at is around $26k price point is quite the feat with how inflation has been going. While watching your video, I would compare your critiques of the Trax to my Sonic, and some of them they share. They both have noisy AC compressors that go on and off when they feel like it, they both are slow with sluggish transmissions, and they both have hard plastic in places like the armrest (it's slightly better in the Trax, not even rubberized in the Sonic). My Sonic had a rough ride when I first bought it but after I put a decent set of tires on it the ride was much better. Some of your complaints like not being able to see the gauges with your preferred steering wheel placement, the buffeting sunroof, the disconnected steering feel, and the sloppy suspension are things that it seems the Sonic does to better. However, the Trax has many features the Sonic did not have such as all four windows being auto down (front two in the Sonic), a much nicer interior, 4 disc brakes (rear drums in the Sonic), auto start stop, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane keep assist. With this in mind the big question mark for this vehicle for me is the engine, and will it be reliable. Otherwise, I think this is a really im0pressive car at its price point, emphasized by the comparison of my similar priced car from Chevy years ago.
I agree, we have a 2017 Sonic we bought brand new in 2017. It's a small get you to work and back car, and for that purpose it does its job. The only real complaint I have is I had to spend 1K on a new airbag control module, that sucked.
@dcyphrz8532 nope just making sure you idiots are ready for that low quality 😆 I had one idiot not even know his maintenance items lol Are u ready for problems ? Cause people are already expressing them on the reviews lol
This is an brand entry level vehicle with a base price of $19,000. I guess you was expecting Mopar power with Mercedes refinement for that price. What exactly did you expect for $19,000? Considering the price point I think Chevrolet done an excellent job with this vehicle. You're expecting way too much for the price.
@@BlakesCars2Yes you are dude, I've been living with this vehicle for a while now and you're nitpicking just for views and asking for more luxury features for a 20k vehicle. Make it make sense, if you're not happy with it, then that's your fault for not doing research and shopping around before buying this vehicle.
I like how you complained with the arm rest on the door being like "just any type of padding would be better". Then you mentioned the middle arm rest and complained about the padding on it. It sounds like you wanted a $45k SUV. Also, you are expecting a 3 cyl in a suv to be fast? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's junky, but again, it's their cheapest vehicle.
I think your expectations are unreasonable for a sub 25k car and from the interior shots looks almost like basic one at 22k… I would like any car that price to have any of the things you gripped over the trax about…it just don’t exist especially from domestic automakers
This review is terrible don't listen to this bs people, your getting bad gas mileage because your driving 80-90 mph. Thr car accelerates just fine. My daughter has the 1rs and it's a great little suv. For the price this is a very good suv
Thank you! I said the same exact thing! Sounds like he wants this Chevy Trax (looks like the ACTIV version) to be a race car! He's a very bad reviewer. "I can't get my head in the door". "It makes noise when I go 90 mph". Blah, blah, blah...... I plan on getting an "entry level" Trax LS next month, with a starting price of 21,495. If I wanted a race car, I'd go "buy" a race car! Chevy makes the Camaro and the Corvette for "those people" . This reviewer is very "close-minded". Regular people with "regular money" want something new, nice,, with good reviews, can get around town, take us for point A to point B, without breaking the bank. This guy made it personal. Very bad review all the way around. He needs to check out the review from Consumer Reports. "A big difference!" 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I've had my 2024 Trax for 2 months. I love it. For the price you cant beat it. Would i like a blazer, equinox or traverse, absolutely but on my budget this is what fit. Im 5'8 and have plenty of leg room. The seats are heated, remote start. Its not a race car but gets me around.
Check your tire pressures. They are shipped with 45psi in all 4 tires. ALOT of lazy dealerships aren't doing proper prep and aren't airing them down to 35psi front/32psi rear per proper spec, making them seem floaty on the highway and ride really harsh over bumps.
@@michaelb8957 Just one more reason I absolutely hate stealerships. My Trax came with nitrogen in the tires, little green caps and all, except they were still all at 45psi. I called them out on it and was told "oh they just check tire pressure and refill it where it was" LIES. I'd bet my paycheck they just put green caps on it and called it good.
My trax tires are @ 45psi and I didn’t know that it was too high. Thanks for the info. My car was driving rough it was shuddering/ shaking at some points. Took it back to the dealer and was told that’s just the way that car rides. I want to really love my new car but it’s hard for me. I miss my 2016 Trax.
I had a Hellcat, Camaro SS and Mustang Gt. This car is not as fast as those. I feel however that they are all the same. It can go 70mph and fits me tall body and family and that is all that matters.
Seems like an unfair review. Your comparing a car designed to be an affordable option to more expensive vehicles you’re accustomed to. It’s not going to compare favorably nor is it supposed to. Most of the complaints you have would be apparent in a test drive. So why buy it? Just to bash it?
@@MalevolentForge 😂I’m not a bot account and I already own triple the value of this thing , so keep it peasant , it’s more your style anyways , slow and unreliable 😆

@@crow_2k11beatsbydre8I mean I run my AC all the time as well, and I get better fuel economy from less efficient vehicles. Probs what the guy below said plus increased drag from that sunroof! Lots of factors 👍🏻
I have a 24 Trax and am totally happy with it. I live in AZ and everyone goes 80 and so do I. Love the heated steering wheel. I get 30 mpg. Lots of space. I would recommend one to anyone.
You get what you paid for dude ...obviously you never really bothered to take it on a serious test drive....I know quite a few here in the states that love the car for what it is ....cheap efficient transportation made for the urban environment....not the sticks...so i agree with you on one thing....your opinions are objective...
I’ve had Lincoln’s, several Hondas, etc. and now have a Colorado. We love our LT Trax. It’s exactly, if not more, than we expected. We get 35 mpg regularly. Perhaps it’s a matter of expectations.
We decided to buy the ‘24 trax after reviewing the used car market. We are used to the features cars come with in brazil. Such as no AC and sometimes even no power steering. This Trax has a lot of modern conveniences and also the lowest price point (in the USA). Just a basic cheap American car. Let’s see about the durability of the 1.2l in the future.
You tube reviews are always fun to watch how biased the utuber is...this person is or presenting how he hates the Trax but yet he lives in the higher end world of cars....has no clue that $22k cuv shouldn't be compared to the sports cars and other toys he drives. I have two friends who have a 2020 and 2022 Trax's and they love them the one friend is hard on cars and that 2020 hasn't missed a beat. Granted it's a 4cyl 1.4 like what i hand in my 2016 Cruze which I liked very much and yes the transmission didn't downshift quick enough because they are set to only downshift if necessary for fuel economy. And that is something I don't like either. I have a 2022 Buick encore gx with the 1.2 and a cvt and it scoots down the road with no problems at all and yes I have had it up to 93 mph on the interstate and it's running just fine. I get an average of 31 mpg and lots of my driving is in my small town as everything I need is within 2 miles of my house. The trailblazer is a step up from the Trax like it's suppose to be!!! The trax is doing what it's designed for getting around to your destination and in higher trim levels in more comfort. I'm old so I remember if wanted a basic Chevy you bought the Biscayne, wanted some bells and whistles, you bought the Impala and paid the price difference. The Trax is going to sell quite well as it fits a need right now of an affordable cuv that is cheap to keep.
I'm going to repeat what a lot of people have already said, you are complaining about a vehicle that is physically too small for you and is too low budget! Find yourself in a Buick Encore GX or Chevy Trailblazer RS. More headroom for your height and more premium upgrades, but you are going to pay like 5K more. You don't buy Chevrolet smallest and cheapest SUV, then complain about performance and interior. That's a oxymoron in it self! Chevrolet is General Motors budget brand division. You want premium or ultra luxury, go Buick or Cadillac.
@@BlakesCars2 I had a brand new 2005 Chevy Equinox, very first year they were made. Lasted 16 years and very little maintenance. Was I lucky, yes! Trade it in for a used 2019 Blazer. Two years so far I'm very pleased. Good luck with your next purchase and a little advice. Buy yourself a nice used suv with low mileage and premium upgrades. You can save yourself some coin on a return lease. Something to think about.
@@crw3673 my mother had a 2006 Pontiac torrent when it was new and when we got rid of it in 2013 around 150k it was still in fanatic shape and aged very well. That was a good car. Funny because she now has a 24’ blazer as well. I’m not a fan of the way GM is going today, sadly I really don’t trust many American cars at this point. After I sold the trax I ended up buying a used Acura suv, very happy with my choice.
Bro I don’t know what car you driving, I love my 2RS, the ride is smooth and it handles well, it’s plenty fast unless you drive like and maniac, lol looks great, can’t beat the price, how you comparing, driving a luxury car to Chevy cheapest car, bro, you didn’t test drive before you got it, lol 😮
I guess that I agree that you should have invested in a $60k vehicle based on your critique (more power, soft-touch leather interior, V8 motor etc, etc). A test drive before the purchase would've helped too. Cliché "you get what you pay for". I would be more than happy with this vehicle for the price. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I almost bought this but two days ago went with a 2021 trailblazer. I don't regret it. I wish i had wireless car play (i can get an adapter though) and would have liked adaptive cruise control but other than that im 100% satisfied with my purchase. It has 155hp 1.3L and AWD which wasn't available on the trax. I think my favorite feature on the trailblazer that the trax doesn't offer is my panoramic sunroof. I sit in the backseat with my autistic 4 year old when my boyfriend drives and he loved being able to look up and see the entire sky as the roof. I also have leatherette in my trailblazer with power seats and lumbar support. The material doesn't feel as cheap as the trax material did. A power liftgate is also really nice.
i don't know why they call it a trailblazer, no its not a trailblazer compared to the 2002 model. it's smaller then the blazer which doesn't make any sense
Be aware of the cvt transmission. I bought a 21 trailblazer new and at 63k the trans started to delay from R to D, up to 5 secs. I read up and many reports were spot on what I was experiencing. They say it can’t be repaired only replaced. They gave me above blue book when I traded it in. I did go with the Activ Trax.
Okay, just leased a 2025 Trax LT, and I'm very happy! No sunroof, not that many available that had them, mostly Activs and 2RS trims, a little out of my budget at this time. For my everyday driving to and from work, including stints on an expressway, it's very capable of keeping up with traffic, and is actually more stable and comfortable to drive than the Maverick I traded in. Sure, it doesn't have the same power, but it scoots along just fine. The ride is better, and just as I said about the Maverick, it too could benefit from larger sway bars; but the overall ride is much welcomed. Additionally, the armrests and console lids aren't the problems many reviewers make them out to be -- but maybe that's just me, I've not been pampered with the ownership of luxury vehicles since my very first car, a late '70s Buick. So far I'm very happy with it and it meets my expectations quite well.
@@bradbowles1153 It's all going to depend upon the length, cash down, and mileage you have in your agreement. There may also be regional incentives which can be used. Options will also increase your payment. I know my lease is reasonable, 12K allowance per year for 3 years. I dropped $100/mo. vs. the payment I had on the Ford I traded in, and that was what was actually a well equipped "cheap" AWD Maverick that I purchased with "D" plan and a couple thousand off on my trade.
Hey dude, it's a lady's car. I've seen and spoke to three owners about their cars. (all women). If your looking for a big gas pedal, go buy a Corvette to satisfy your needs.
I bought a 2024 Trax and really enjoy it. Has lots of trunk space. Drives fine despite the video comments. I still have my 2014 Sonic, 6 speed, everything still works.
It is a nice-looking car. I agree with you also that the steering wheel is great. It is not the kind of car for someone who does 80-85 MPH. I have a white Nissan Kicks, and I love my car. Since I now own a white car, I am partial to white these days. I have black wheels. I will need to wait and see how reliable the car is. I'm not interested in speed. I want good gas mileage. I can get 43.8 MPG on the expressway. My roof is much higher than the Trax. My instrument panel has all kind of options and is easy to see. The seats are zero gravity and comfortable. I don't like to go way over the speed limit. The cargo area of my car is large, and my car looks just as nice as any of the more expensive SUV's I park next to.
Chevy´s cheapest vehicle was the SPARK for around 14.500 dollars. A shame they decided to kill it from the US market. Very economical and decent room for a subcompact. Now the cheapest vehicle is the TRAX...😐
The production lines in S. Korea that were making Sparks are now making the Trax 🙁I can't believe the Trax has a SMALLER engine than the Spark (and weighs 1000 lbs more)... but puts out 30-40 more horsepower. But the Sonic and similar Buick models have dependability issues because of their turbos. I love my naturally aspirated 5-speed Spark.
You can’t even get a base Hyundai Elentra or Nissan Sentra for that price. Your complaints are absolutely asinine for that price point. It’s a stellar looking, comfortable and well equipped vehicle for what the price is.
We just bought a 2024 Trax LS for our daughter who turned 16 in September and LOVE IT. It drives SO nice, has good power, tons of room, and price was insane for all the modern features you get (read through the window sticker or online). Excellent, excellent value and looks great. We have a brand new Odyssey as well and the Trax has 80% of the same features for 60% less in price. Can't go wrong.
FYI it has a belt-in-oil timing belt setup and those haven't fared well in some other cars. If you're leasing this car, you may not care but not sure I'd buy for a long-term car.
I can’t believe they did the same dumb shit Ford did with their 3 cyl. What’s weird is the 1.3 has a timing chain. Why make two different timing setups? Why make two barely different sizes engines anyway?
I had to go back a second time to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. Me doth think Blake missed the boat here. I, too, made a list the second time thru his review to try to address the laundry list he brought forth. Just a couple “rebuttals” for Sir Blake…1) gotta wonder why one would move from a well-option luxury car to an entry level econo-car, then think you get champagne with a beer budget. Shouldn’t be a shock. 2) Blake wants lumbar…then pay the $24,900 for the ACTIV trim and get an 8 way power seat PLUS power lumbar. You also get emergency braking and other nice safety features at the same time. 3) the suspension “crashes” over small bumps in the road…that isn’t the suspension’s fault. I swapped the “Good-rock” tires Blake said were a “nice package” with Michelin Cross Climate 2 and it rides like a RAV4 Limited. Quite and smooth. It’s the tire choice, Blake! Not the suspension…and it close me about $300 to swap them when new. Small price to pay for a quality ride in an econobox. I have 8 more rebuttals, but you get the point. It’s an economy car! You want filet mignon, don’t expect to pay for ground chuck, Blake.
Congrats you out top of the line tires on a car made for people who drink beer and it still rides like crap. I’m sorry this honest review hit you in a soft spot.
that set of tires you bought costed you a grand at least. also one of my cars has emergency braking and I absolutely DESPISE it, the most annoying thing ever

@@RedEyeC it blows my mind they could make a non-hybrid car in the 90’s that got 50 mpg like the Geo Metro, and with today’s advanced technology, you only get that with a hybrid. A friend of mine had one and he’d put $5 in it, and drive forever.
I bought the exact same car in May 2024. White 1RS. Absolutely love it still now at Nov 2024. I live in the city with heavy traffic jam and this car is perfect. Trax is a run around vehicle for 85% of trips ; short urban use. Most people do not drive 80 mph on the interstate or freeways. Not where I live in N.C. and not in SoCal where I left 18 years ago. For the price point of this car you really cannot make these complaints. I believe if you were critiquing a $80,000 vehicle you'd still have petty complaints about. You're looking at an economy car from the perspective of a sports car and that's not fair. Most people would have complaints about genuine issus; electrical problems, transmission problems or major issues on the functionality of the car. Your complaints are simply based on styling and you knew what you were getting when you purchased this car.

How do you like it? I need a second car more family friendly. I have a 2 door truck I love, but I need something. I can have my wife and 2 dogs in maybe some luggage? Just looking for something decent 30 mpg is great compared to my truck! Lol

I'm getting over 40 on the highway. Driving around 72.
I bought the Activ. And I love love love it.
Same. Great car. Blake was just cheap buying the base trim and then whining like a baby.
I drove mine from Texas up to Massachusetts, got good gas mileage, had no problem getting up to speed. Everything was fine.
Havent had much problems with the transmission or power. Driving on the highway 70+ have not had any issues
Last 50miles driving at about 75-80mph I was averaging 28.5
How’s it now

Little P.S. The suspension…..u must have a suspension “lemon” because I’ve heard nothing but good things, including my test drive.
You can turn off lane assist by pushing a button. Problem solved.
Just got a 2024 Trax LT. And I love it. Mines moves pretty good!
You drive a bmw? I’m sorry for you I’d much rather drive a trax over one of those. And that says alot
I bought one I love it.I had a charger before the trax.
Talk about a change up lol
I had a 2016 Camaro SS 6-speed with 455hp. Big change. But loving the Trax Activ I got so far. Saving money for my next build, either a '67 Vette or '69 Mustang. Great daily in the meantime, though.

I have recommended this car to a few people. This is entry-level transportation. What do you expect from a brand new car that cosr $20k?

I'll give you the buffeting sunroof & noisy AC compressor. The materials are on par with an entry-level GM product. Everything else is pretty much on you. I think a better title would be "Why I Regret Buying This Car." Thanks for putting out there, though. Especially the sunroof part. Easily overlooked on a test drive.
Didn't he say it was BUFFERING? Maybe it needs more bandwidth?
I have the 2RS with sun roof, heated seats and steering wheel and I love it. Your spoiled. What did you used to have a Lexus. What do you expect for $25.000 Stop. It’s a very good car. If you want a sports car go get one. I love it

We love our Chevy Trax- especially the price. Why do people expect a BMW at this price? This is a great vehicle. Most of these complaints are personal preference and nit-picking.
@@Tony-pk6ql look how observant you are
I have a Chevy Sonic that I brought back in 2017 for an MSRP of $22,000.
I think this would be good for like a first car, or someone looking for something to get from A to B

Check your tire pressures. They are shipped with 45psi in all 4 tires. ALOT of lazy dealerships aren't doing proper prep and aren't airing them down to 35psi front/32psi rear per proper spec, making them seem floaty on the highway and ride really harsh over bumps.
Your correct, every new car I have ever owned had over inflated tires.
MPG at 80-85. OK I'm done listening.
I would have bought a used Subaru Crosstrek at that price. But maybe the Subaru Crosstrek isn’t available there.
Thanks for your helpful evaluation. Although I do think if everyone goes 80 mph where you live, you should have known you bought the wrong car.
Don't forget the Chevy Bel Air. I'm old too.

About how much is a lease on one of these?
@@bradbowles1153 It's all going to depend upon the length, cash down, and mileage you have in your agreement. There may also be regional incentives which can be used. Since I now own a white car, I am partial to white these days. I have black wheels. I will need to wait and see how reliable the car is. I'm not interested in speed. I want good gas mileage. I don't like to go way over the speed limit. The cargo area of my car is large, and my car looks just as nice as any of the more expensive SUV's I park next to.
Sounds good to me.
Bro what cars have the gauges move?
Where are you living going 80-85 mph. The popo in my area have a field day.
You can’t even get a base Hyundai Elentra or Nissan Sentra for that price. Your complaints are absolutely asinine for that price point. It’s a stellar looking, comfortable and well equipped vehicle for what the price is.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
My son turns 16 in January 2024. Thoughts on the Trax for a first car for a new driver?
We just bought a 2024 Trax LS for our daughter who turned 16 in September and LOVE IT. It drives SO nice, has good power, tons of room, and price was insane for all the modern features you get (read through the window sticker or online). Excellent, excellent value and looks great. We have a brand new Odyssey as well and the Trax has 80% of the same features for 60% less in price. Can't go wrong.
You’re should’ve not bought the Trax if you’re a Acura guy.Big difference dude.What a waste of a review.
When he said most people are driving at 90MPH I automatically knew this was a troll video. Good try.
And before I go I was driving the other day at 90 miles per hour and it was like nothing.
Put it in sport mode. If it has one. That helps a lot with response
So what would you recommend for a SUV under 25k?
Trax is about it. Under $30K? The Kia Seltos.
Kias, even ones that aren't stealable are targeted in my area because of the Kia Boyz TikTok. Buying one is like volunteering for it to get stolen or broken in to
@@malcolmthomasjr5504 - 2 steering wheel locks and current software programs keeps my 2019 Forte GT - the most common Kia stolen - safe. They've tried to steal it twice - both times in broad daylight - they gave up quickly. Problem is the soft justice systems in our country. Catch them - sentence them to life without the possibility of parole - and hard labor. They used to hang horse thieves way back when - make the sentence stiff enough and this crime will stop.
I had a 1995 Geo Meteo 3 cylinder that was rated at 50 mpg, it was "slow" but I always was at 100 percent throttle everywhere and only got around 33 to 35 mpg. I never complained since I was the one trying to wring out every ounce of speed. 85 mph top speed.....stopped 2x for speed on the freeway.....should have fought the ticket with my defence being a picture of the 3 cylinder....it was a good little car.
I had the Geo Metro predecessor Chevy Sprint (87) - that 1.0 3 cylinder was a litter bugger alright, I did get the 50 to 55mpg driving a 70mph commute. Went through 2 mufflers oddly. I remember paying $100 for a set of 4 - 12 inch tires at Sears.
@@RedEyeC I test drove the sprint :"turbo" version of one of those little guys, obviously it was underpowered, even with the "turbo" but it was a blast to drive in a not go to jail immediately or kill someone in "mexico" style of driving. And 40 plus to 50 mpg. Good stuff!
@@RedEyeC it blows my mind they could make a non-hybrid car in the 90’s that got 50 mpg like the Geo Metro, and with today’s advanced technology, you only get that with a hybrid. A friend of mine had one and he’d put $5 in it, and drive forever.
@@raymorris5203 - my 87 Sprint was the king of commuters - up to 55mpg when gas was 99 cents a gallon - commuted 125 miles every day.
I bought the exact same car in May 2024. White 1RS. Absolutely love it still now at Nov 2024. I live in the city with heavy traffic jam and this car is perfect. I use it for work and haul my 2 kids around. The size is just right, any bigger it be hard to park in the city. It does struggle a bit uphill, that's about the only downside. I only had a minor issue on faulty auto light sensor, after that got replaced it's been great.
Trax is a run around vehicle for 85% of trips ; short urban use.
Most people do not drive 80 mph on the interstate or freeways. Not where I live in N.C. and not in SoCal where I left 18 years ago. I had an 89 Lynx with 90 hp that was fast and now have an 05 Caravan SE with 2.4 4 cylinder that carries a full size mobility scooter with lift. 158 hp.
It also goes fast. If I load it up with 3 age 11 & 12 grandkids, camping gear , two big kayaks and the scooter; it may kick down to 3rd gear on the Blue Ridge Parkway. So what !
How often do I take that trip- once a year! Trax was made for sensible, adult drivers.
If you are a Yankee red light racer ( like 85% of "drivers" in Durham Raleigh Chapel Hill),
get something else.
Arnie, Research Triangle Park.
NC State Troopers are "9 you're fine, 10 you're mine", so 79 is the most you can go risk free in a 70.
I’m driving the Chevy 2022 Trax all these UA-cam car reviewers make fun of. I actually enjoy driving it, but then again I’m not a race car driver.
the 2005 caravan se 2.4 liter has 150 horsepower not 158. I have the exact same car and the acceleration is horrible. I love the van dont get me wrong, super reliable and rides great, we have had it since new. but I have to stand on the accelerator to just get out of my own way
I bought my wife the 24 trax She has had no problems with it. She loves it.
Did you even sit in this car before you bought it???????? I have a bridge I want to sell you.
No. I didn’t I just bought it
For the price point of this car you really cannot make these complaints.
Speak for yourself. I got mine a month ago and I’m glad I did. It’s a nice compact SUV for the price. “You get what you pay for” applies to this vehicle like most things in life.
The 3 cylinder has a "Wet Belt" timing system...very problematic. I had a 2012 sonic had many of the same complaints.
Why did you buy it? All those critiques are easily noticed on test drive
@@cliffdariff74 you’re smart aren’t ya
@@BlakesCars2Dude it's an honest question, you knew the price point before you bought it, this is a perfect a to b vehicle. Doesn't need all those extra features to be a dependable vehicle.
