    Is so refreshing to see a mother of many that prioritized her children beyond other duties. Children need lots love, attention, patience and understanding and having numerous children is important to give individual time to each so they grow up to be secure independent adults. Love, Faith, Health, Learning are the main priorities. Thanks for sharing!!

    Ouph I love hearing you talking about babes being fine sleeping on their bellies, my little guy (my first child) only slept on his belly and I was told by everyone except my mother that it was incredibly dangerous. I think it was a major factor in my extreme postpartum anxiety! He refused swaddling from the get go, never took a pacifier and behaved like an upside down hedgehog when I tried to get him to sleep on his back haha! Grateful for his determination and my mama telling me that all was well despite the rest of the human race telling me otherwise. Grateful for your realness and guidance xx

    I love that you make having a newborn and doing all the housework so easy because you have a schedule and you know what to do and a lot things to do.
    For me, one of the hard things being stay home is feeling alone. Just me and my baby. We don’t have a farm to take care of so I still can have times to rest. Which I’m thankful for.
    But sometimes just feel lost and lonely.

    Yes always get dressed. And if I might add… get up and dressed before the children get up! It made for getting up hitting the ground running much easier. From top of head to shoes. I may not always throw makeup on but hair is brushed and pulled up and shoes on. Also. All 7 of mine were total tummy sleepers. They slept so much better. And not one flat head ever!

    Great talk on nutrition. I’m so diligent during pregnancy but postpartum is SO much more challenging to stay on top of protein. I’m three weeks behind you with baby #5. I often find myself making the other four breakfast and lunch and feeding the baby multiple times before I realize I haven’t eaten much at all. Drinking lots of grass fed collagen and snacking on nuts + dates, but I definitely need more. Would love a talk diving a bit more into how you manage to get enough protein in this season.

  • @notyourstereotype9911
    @notyourstereotype9911 7 днів тому +1

    Hi,
    I like a lot of things you said. Eating enough protein is so important for so many reasons, having a low protein diet is bad for you not matter what age you are, also as a side note some cults will have their members eat a low protein diet since its easier to manipulate/control a person on a low protein diet. I wanted to add that when I don't eat whole grains for my carbs, that's when my blood sugar crashes the most. I only eat whole grains for my grains and I can tell a world of difference.
    Seeing you with the baby reminds me of how hard it was to do anything when my three kids were babies and nursing them each for a year and a half. I held my babies the majority of the time and my babies hated being in a wrap. If I had to put the baby down I would place them in a bouncer and get a few chores done, this was very stressful since the babies would fuss and cry the whole time and that gives me so much anxiety to hear the baby cry and fuss for 5 minutes so I would pick up the baby. I washed clothed diapers everyday and hung them to dry. I was able to do laundry everyday but the clothes just stayed in separate laundry baskets. I usually had a sink full of dishes since the babies didn't like to be put down as well. I was so tired that I would fall asleep whenever I nursed for more than 5 minutes.
    Most of the women I met during the baby seasons of my life would do the "cry it out thing" with their babies and I could never do that! I thought it was cruel to let a baby under 2 years old cry in their cribs until they fall asleep! I knew it was hard to hold the baby most of the time and co-sleep but I knew it was better for the baby and being their mom it was my job to care for their emotional and physical needs. I read a study that said babies who were held and had their needs met quickly were more emotionally mature as adults, this stuck with me and I wanted my kids to feel safe, secure and loved, no matter how hard it was on me to do that 24/7.

    I was so into baby wearing but my sister that is a school principal and did her masters in children raised on their moms back in South africa told me about a 20 year study done on depth perception developement deficit in babies that were " abbad" from birth. It scared me but when I become a mom after 20 years after my last born I remembered her words and just wore my baby facing front. He is 12 now and just like my first 2 kids also needs glasses so who knows.

But when you only pay $50-75 for a piece of furniture from the thrift store and get 7-8 years out of it with lots of kids, that’s a win lol! Compare what Peter said in 1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." these are the only 3 times you will find "born again" in the Bible. Pater is talking about the death of your old self, and being born again by the word of God and this faith will now cause you to be a new creature. Your flesh is corruptible, but God's word is pure. By repenting and turning to the Lord Jesus Christ you are born again!

    Acts 8:
    36 And as they went on [their] way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
    37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
    Here in Acts you read that the eunuch believe on Jesus Christ (and was already saved) before he was baptized, thus you only need faith and belief on Jesus Christ to be saved, NO WORKS TO BE SAVED!

    Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thine house’

    Ephesians 2:
    4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
    5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
    6And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:
    7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
    8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ 9Jesus unto good works, 9which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
    10Wherefore remember, that ye [being] in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
    11That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having 12no hope, and without God in the world:
    13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
    14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us];
    15Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace;
    16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

    Romans 3:
    19Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
    20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
    21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
    22Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
    23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
    24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
    25Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
    26To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
    27Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
    28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
    29[Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
