camera had some drawbacks that at the original price point it made no sense to buy it vs the competition. At big discounts new or used, it can sort of make sense, depending on preferences. However, if you want a flip screen and dont already own the fp, just buy another camera. And if you do own it, it likely makes more sense to get an external screen. kudos to the guy who made this though, pretty cool.

I have a question for you: do you think you could somehow mount an EVF from a SD Quattro on a FPL? replacing the on off switch and maybe the mode switch. And create what Sigma should have done, a rangefinder FPL :) If you think, I will send you my cameras
Hi, I don't understand something here. Are the screen connector pins staggered ? I count 20 lines on screen connector but they are marked 1 to 41. And I see you use a 45 pins FFC. Am I missing something ? I'm confused.
Compliments - very genius and sophisticated approach, which again proofs the "narrow mindedness" of a camera producer. One question: I use the directors loupe for focussing my manual lenses (for photography) - can this be use after the modding, too? and: most probably there is no chance to get it serviced if one does not feel competent enough for such DIY stuff;-)

Der Hauptgrund warum ich diese spezielle Sigma fp L nicht kaufen würde, ist das fehlende Klappdisplay. Du solltest es als Set zum Umbauen mit Anleitungen auf den Markt bringen! Oder hast du es gekauft? von wem? Ich würde aber den Akku herausmachen während des Umbaus.
Soon I will be launching a cage with a M2 SOLID-state box slot at the bottom, and the LVF-11 can be rotated with a flip screen for easy camera shooting.

The cage is not yet available, and the LVF-11 will also be rotatable.

What else can be used other than iso. alchohol to loosen the glue on the screen edges?
Hi. Alcohol can be used, but pay attention to the time of volatilization. As long as it can dissolve the glue, it is usually non corrosive.
Have you by any chance made a small viewfinder for the Fpl ? And a flash hotshoe ?

Could you replace the screen with a bigger, brighter screen? It looks fairly easy to replace, seeing there is only one wire!

Ich mag diese kleine Kamera sehr, also habe ich diese Geräte entworfen und produziert, um den Bildschirm kippen zu lassen.

I'm afraid not. Even though the camera is waterproof, getting caught in the rain is not a good idea.

This mod looks great, does the fp still fit into the SmallRig cage with the wooden handle after conversion? :-)
The two hinges on the top of the flip screen are fine as long as they are not blocked.

The screen as a part of the heat dissipation system? How did you come up with this idea? The heat dissipation system is BEHIND the screen.
If anything it would dissipate better with the screen flipped up
Not bad, but that thin ribbon cable still looks fragile if pulled by accident.
