As a sigma fp owner I disagree with your belief that this great camera only has 11 stop of dr, for whatever reason it looks more like 13 stops of dr. Great Video tho.👍🏽
This is absolutely true. I own four of them. They’re my main camera if a client wants to shoot on Alexa no problem. Otherwise I stick to the FP for everything. I replaced two reds with these four cameras.
the next sigma camera moving forward i would like to have a faster autofocus, a IBIS for stable shots and video and also a stacked sensor for faster read out......nice work....👍
Nah dude. It’s perfect as it is. Ibis makes it bigger, stacked sensor has less dynamic range, and pdaf is not necessary for a cinema cam. The only things they should put their resources in is putting a foveon sensor in a video cam and with l mount.
@@18yearsoldnot sigma ceo clarified in a interview the upcoming camera will not have a foveron sensor...a possibility of a global shutter can happen not sure ...but a flip out touch screen may come
great looking video Myron 🙂 like that you mentioned the Canon lens - I'm about to test out a 50mm f1.8 FD lens (the one with the silver lockring - nice) on my X-H2
Poor you... You think that 1 or 2 extra stops of dynamic range will make you a better filmmaker? That is cute. Most of if not all high end pro-sumer cinema cameras top at 12-12 and a half usable stops and many cheat the test by using heavy internal noise reduction. Don't worry, you'll eventually learn how to correctly expose and use light and shadow as tools to tell a story without the need to obsess over specs.
@@kipkipfulI understand that but you do have some creators still creating beautiful content with this camera regardless of its limitations. If dynamic range is a priority for you than this camera definitely won’t fit your needs.
The FP have the same usable dynamic range that any major camera, similar to any major brand but with a RAW output, that means that theres's no image processing. People get confused with massive amounts of noise reduction in some "14 stops of dynamic range cameras" that is not usable at all, it's amazing what can you recover on what it looks like a blown out highlights, open resolve, transform to BM colorspace click recovery highlights and enjoy. The 1080p to a SD card it's also really good, but the 12 bits 4k it's just outstanding. Just try it for yourself..... Also has the El Zone mode wich is 200 times better than false color and you can nail your exposure acuretly any single time, wich is far more important than your camera having 13 or 14 stops of fake dynamic range.

It does when it’s exposed correctly

That would make the new camera a serious contender. Plus a full size hdmi port. Thank you. 🙏

You’re more than welcome. That’s the next video I may make as well. 😁
I have it. Never selling it 😊 It does not overheat because it has a fan.
Thank you for telling me that. I wasn’t sure if it did or not.
It does NOT have a fan.

100% Correct ⬆️. It’s definitely not the camera that make us better filmmakers but learning, practice and actually going to go shoot.
