In my opinion h+n are the best pellets for bsa guns, it's a hunting gun 40 shots is good there's only a few occasions we're I have been wanting just a few more shots like when ratting. Absolute belting gun

I have a ultra had it for years absolutely brilliant gun I shoot at 25 yards and I’ve found after a lot of testing it likes bisley magnums 10.65 anything you hit will be dispatched instantly great gun personally I think BSA make fantastic guns I also have a R10 also brilliant and faultless

I have that same rifle. I shoot ragged hole groups at 25 yards. Love the gun. One of my most accurate. It will out shoot my fx mkll.

You always tell it like it is - honesty is no barrier to sales, this gun is definitely for someone, as always- it has to be the right person.
I had an early CLX for a while. It needed warranty work and, disappointingly, BSA ruined the gun. They eventually put it right so the ending would have been happy but for the sour taste…
I sold it and bought an S510 that the younger members of the family prefer as it has a side lever - now available on the new CLX.
Hopefully, Crackshot is more careful with customers guns should they need attention during the Crackshot warranty, I have lost faith in BSA.

It's a shame when a certain manufacturer leaves a bad impression. It's tough to turn it around afterwards... Still, you've moved onto greater things!

Nice review. I would certainly be happy with that for the money. A capable rifle.

I think I may have mentioned a while ago that I had a bsa ultra se limited camo edition in 22 and I still kick myself now for letting it go. It was so accurate and I did use rws superdomes for bunny control and the rws super h point for ratting. An excellent package for the money definitely recommend one to anyone starting out or as a grab and go rifle but there’s alway one niggle I had for someone with a bit of dexterity problems is the magazine and the spring loaded system as I always found it so fiddly and even worse on a nighttime but that was my only gripe.

Our first PCP and a great gun! We graduated to the BSA Goldstar with a better shot count and a better set up for HFT.

Just an FYI “New Old Stock” means brand new and un used old stock as in not current production or previous season, not very good condition used.

It is very much an " out in the field " hunting set up , and therefore 50shots is ample for an evenings bimble round your permission .. or even one of them extra small " top up " tanks in a rucksack if yer planning on a longer session , no problem at the range though , yoi can take yer tank and fill up at will ... Yeah , id say it was worth the money .. be an IDEAL starter rifle for HFT , specially if your young or slight of build ..

I had the goldstar pepper I used for hft but I needed to top up the tank after 40 shots

I’ve owned a few Ultras and I know they are accurate for 30 shots in .177.
You really didn’t show it in a good light, for whatever reason, but it was an honest, real world review.
Having had problems shooting with varifocal glasses myself, I would urge you to look into the possibility that your glasses aren’t right for shooting.
    Again, not having a go.

Hi there…I used to own a air gun as a kid I loved to go with my dad shooting but a lot has changed in the 20 odd years it seems there’s a lot of hoops to jump through & very limited options to use a air gun now..just on the off chance there is someone willing to give me some pointers on how to even start getting the basics covered on how to go about it all with permits & where I could use it would be very appreciated. Thanks 👍

How does a cheap pellet make a magazine or gun jam?

    • @southwestshooters
      @southwestshooters  Рік тому +1

Cheap pellets have a higher chance of being misshapen, consequently the pellet won't align properly. This causes jamming.

If you want us to see the accuracy of the gun.....zero the bloody thing in and use the same pellets for a portion of your video...THEN....do the other pellets 👍🏻

BSA are garbage! I recently bought a brand new grt lighting from my local dealer after taking it out to zero it & problems straight away it was only giving 7lbs of muzzle energy back it went to bsa got it back & I couldn't cook it ? Back to bsa again. Took it out to zero it again 6 inch group at 20 yards with all pellet makes I discovered that it had about 2 mm of play at the breech back to bsa yet again! Got it back still terrible accuracy. Part exchanged it for a HW95 excellent quality. I will never buy another Bsa product.
