    I’m so happy I found you. I just moved to Missouri, I live at a farm and I got ticks on me few days ago. Mixed with lavender oil is a repellent against ticks and mosquitoes 🦟 so I will definitely be making some. I also know is good for the skin. A farmer friend of mine told me he drinks it’s and give to his animals to keep ticks and feas away. Salute 🫡 to your dad I’m a USA army veteran.

    I started to used and see the results. I would recommend to many of you that have the same problem to try.
    I would like to ask you some advice if you don’t mind.
    Can I meltdown the soap I bought and mix with some essential oils to make the skin moisture and nice smell.?
    Will the soap become hard again? I didn’t want to try as I only bought 1 bar. If it work , I will buy some one as it less

    • @clumsysoaper
      @clumsysoaper  2 роки тому +1

      You will produce Sodium Salicylate together with the soap. When this salt comes in contact with water (when the soap is in use), it will ionize and it will produce salicylic acid again. I guess we also have to look in that the reaction when the soap is in use. Not just on the soap when it is produced.

    • @clumsysoaper
      @clumsysoaper  3 роки тому +2

      Yes you can. After saponification, all the lye have been used up and converted to soap. Soaps are formulated with lye discount, it means that the lye amount is intentionally reduced by a certain %, to ensure that you have excess oil in the recipe. The excess oil makes the soap mild and also serves as an emollient.
