I appreciate your honesty. Never-mind this or that ... your honesty might just save a life.
John Shackleton your comment should have more likes 1000% agree
Exactly! screw all the know it all critics send them up there with that wing maybe they will be eliminated and silence their big mouthes
Absoluly right may you save a life, I agree your Testing appreciate your comments also for Jaclin take care for her same sky is not forgiving I was having also a lot of luck in Bell 47 to learn and fly in my Solos no one than can help !
Dudek have always had a reputation for wings that have "hung back"
@@rogerd4559 LOL, yea, Darwin's awards, maybe? Honesty is priceless, stupidity cost a lot!
You've always come across as a guy with integrity and honesty. I haven't seen anything that suggests you've compromised that in any way. I also like opinions, and take them as opinions. Good series.
Hey broski, good to see you here. I agree with you completely. I hope that Mav is treating you well.
Hey broski, good to see you here. I agree with you completely. I hope you know that Team 1 will continue to represent for all time.
@@carter7515 bahaha, fancy seeing you here.
James Dunn I agree 💯 percent!!
I agree with you, however saying there is a difference between a review and first impressions sounds like splitting hairs.
I thought your choice of a title for the first video of the wing, "The ABSOLUTE WORST wing I have ever launched" may have been overly harsh, and after watching that video, I think you probably meant to say "The ABSOLUTE WORST-LAUNCHING wing I have ever unboxed".
Outside of that, Tucker, I found your remarks very informative -- clear and fair, as usual.
Tucker, you are THE most respected and honest guy in life AND the paramotor community, your skills and knowledge are above compare. You will have undoubtedly saved lives with your honest unbiased opinion of the flying characteristics of this wing. It is no exaggeration to say that you and Jacklyn are the worlds finest and most respected ambassadors for our sport. I hope the wing designers take note and make the improvements required to it. Thank you and my very best wishes to you and everyone you hold close to your heart 🇬🇧
Imagine the inscription on the tombstone: "Killed due to wing stall during landing ... but the flight was spectacular!"
Tucker, thank you SOOO much for this video. I know the manufacturer got mad about this and thats always bad news for your income. You ignore them and eat the metaphorical bullet so that us pilots don't get a life ending face plant on a sketchy wing.
Your a true saint. Your honesty is unrivaled.
Tucker, I am a non-flying wannabe flyer since I was 6. I am also a huge fan of Your's, your character, skill and your life in general. Today you spoke to the vast majority of PPG people. Thank You! I still want to own a PPG and fly with you above the clouds at least once before I expire. I am now 56 yrs old as of 10/1. My body is breaking down so my (2) launch vehicles aka legs, are starting to fail. I may have to meet you above the clouds wearing (3) wheels or more. I hope you won't mind. Keep it up buddy, you are an awesome person!
‘First Impressions’ videos are great, they capture the excitement of newness and have a value that is different then a ‘review’. Please don’t change a thing with how you do them.
Can’t wait for another van life video. I see that you are nearing 1M subs (I remember subscribing when you were flying in your underwear back at 5K subs). I wonder how close you are to the van life 500 patreon supporters ...I recall a promise to have all the supporters names printed onto the van-mobile.
Tucker, I’ve noticed a fair amount of disrespect in this sport from other pilots with channels (I won’t name names) to promote whatever agenda they may have. I watch your channel because you don’t seem to have an agenda besides safety, passion and entertainment. It’s too bad you (legitimately) feel the need to explain your opinions, but I get it. Continue being yourself and filming what you want, there’s a reason we’re all here!
Thank you for your honest opinions and amazing videos. It’s because of you and people like you that I’m starting to see a possibility of making my lifelong dream of flying a reality!
Also, don't let the comments from low IQ bitchy boys bother you. You are miles and miles beyond their immature actions and mentality.
Thank you for being so on point about SAFETY and your honesty and integrity. You shouldn't ever have to try to explain that to anyone. If they cannot understand, they will NEVER get it. It's their loss.
Cheers!
Perfectly said,... I totally agree!
Tucker's approach to the sport is "stable-air".
Tucker I’m 63 years old, if I was going to fly that skinny ass parasol I wouldn’t consider purchasing one without your input, advice. You’ve proven yourself, keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your videos, something to be said for an honest person these days.
As a certificated pilot, Aerospace educator, and guy with common sense: That wing was riding the back end of the L/D curve the whole time. ‘Tis is why you had to pull the front down with the As. Either that 16 is too small for you, (probably not) or has a deeper design issue. Speed and maneuverability and efficiency are for the most part mutually exclusive. You can’t have a wing that has good maneuverability (Excess lift and low rolling moment) and one that cruises fast and efficient (lower lift and low drag higher aspect ratio = higher rolling moment).
The WARP looks like it was designed for slalom ( high speed) and as such is going to have a poor low speed performance meaning no wind launches are going to be less than enjoyable.
They should just call it like it is: The Lancair of the paraglider world. When what you really want is something more like a Cessna182: not lightning fast but takes off and lands in half the distance and more enjoyable for sightseeing and local area flights.
I agree with a lot of what you mentioned and in this case, I don't think the tradeoff is worth it. The wing performs slightly better than the Freeride with a dramatically worse stall point. If you check out the recent slalom competitions, the Freeride is still beating the Warp. The Warp may be acceptable if it was crushing the Freeride, but it's not.
Thanks for making some good points!... Tucker indicated at the beginning he was looking for an, "all around, good flying wing"... The warp does not fit that mission!
Good feedback. It seems like it's a weird stall onset, but one that's happening very gently, which is denying him the feedback that he's used to in flying. It's not uncommon in aerospace, but it's something that designers specifically avoid in civil aircraft, because it's so easy to crash. That spin onset sounds like a classic stall to spin entry, which is among the leading killers in civil aviation.
Lets call it what it is, Stalled, back end of the L/D curve. Be careful when comparing Paramotors to regular winged aircraft, paramotors are better described as Pendulum Planes. Pendulum Planes fly radically different than your average airplane. Example, your thoughts on low rolling moment (of inertia) do not apply quite the way you think for Pendulum Planes. The roll moment of inertia changes very little with respect to the size of the wing, Pendulum Planes don't roll like regular airplanes. What a Pendulum Plane does to roll fast is to apply the lift from the ailerons (wing tips) to accelerate the wing along the Y-Axis. Essentially, all the mass, the pendulum, the pilot and motor are stationary, and the extra lift at the wing tip is used to pull (accelerate) the entire wing to the side, left or right. This is exactly opposite of an rigid airplane. High roll rates should be achievable with any Pendulum Plane Wing as the moment of roll inertia changes very little, all the mass is in the pendulum, unlike ridged aircraft.
@@TuckerGott Probably has more to do with the Airfoil shape, the Warp to little camber, it's flat. So, when the Stall occurs the entire wing stalls at the same time resulting in a massive loss of lift. With a more cambered airfoil, the stall occurs more gradually, it starts more towards trailing edge of the wing and moves forward as Angle of Attack increases, this causes buffeting as it begins to stall. Going from full on flying to a full on stall at low altitudes is a recipe for disaster.
There are times your video's just piss me off. They make me mad because you are young, have grabbed life by the balls, doing what you love to do, have a fine young lady to call your companion and you tell it like it is. Reminds me of myself 50 years ago. Oh the memories. Don't ever let ANYONE stop you from doing what you want to do. The worst thing is to be old and near the end and say to yourself, " I wish I had tried......." I hope I can maybe one day soon at least try PPG. You have given me at least one last goal. Don't stop doing what your doing. Screw everyone else that puts you down because they are jealous of what you do so much better than they do. Keep on Keeping on!
I can’t agree more with all your comments sir. I’m a 61 year old who found Tucker on You tube and he has got me hooked on the sport love his vids.Probably won’t get one? but the thought of doing this at his age would have been brilliant.
You rock Tucker.
I know this is an old vid, but it really helped me! I bought a Hadron 3 about a year ago and could NOT get it in the air. Its been sitting in my garage all this time. I used your technique of holding the A's longer and I can finally fly it! Thanks!
You're one of the few video creators that I would'nt question wether you're giving an unbiased opinion or not. You tell it like it is.
Honesty is always the best policy. Your honesty and integrity have been apparent since the beginning. Keep up the great work!
Stick to your guns. Your honesty and values shine through. Don't let any of these people that may be jealous or are just the type of people that love to "stir the pot" get you feeling a certain way. You are very mature for your age and your integrity is spot on. We all know what's right in our gut, let that make your decisions for you. It's obviously done vey well for you so far. Continued success and God bless.
Well done Tucker. This is the reason I watch your videos. I consider you to be an upstanding young with with honest and amazing values. Your videos are informative and interesting and the reason I got into this sport. Kudos to your parents for raising a son with your values.
Very well said as always Tucker. You have been and continue to be a great ambassador to our sport. Don’t worry about the haters the majority of us have nothing but respect for you Brother.
If you always tell the truth, you have nothing to remember! You're honesty rocks Tucker! keep it up! Love the videos! ...AND reviews!
Im very HAPPY you choose to stay real which is what attracted me to your channel and opinion. I can see you are transparent and honest and I appreciate that from the heart, its a very rare thing today! Keep up the great content you rock man!
I cant think of how many accidents and lives you have saved by your incredible videos you make , well done Tucker
You come across like a very honest and genuine person, As a non-flying person I highly enjoy your videos (except the “reacts to accidents” segments those are too scary to watch) and I would like to tank you for the effort you put in to the editing of your videos.
Stay cool and awesome, greetings from Sweden
From my vantage point you are a professional. Almost 1 mil subscriber base. You are an influencer. Your opinion matters.
You did just fine tucker, honest, upstanding, and persistent in your view, you always call safety first, other people have, insecurities and fears they live by, that controls their responses keep doing what you're doing I watched it till the end you did great oh, you're almost at 1 million. Omg
The big question has been answered - Jaclyn has great breath! Great video and well spoken. 👍
Conspiracy theories...you have to love it. That's where we are these days. I think you've been honest and straight forward. Keep up the good work.
Old man here non flier but I appreciate your channel and your take on paramotoring. Keep doing what you do.
I've always thought of you as an honest person. I believe that's what has gotten you to the place you are at. I appreciate your integrity, you've been an inspiration to many people including myself. We need more honest and real people in this world. Thank you 👍✌
I think it's very good that you reported any issues you experienced. As for the people suggesting a hidden agenda, if you had not posted your report on your experience with this wing, you would probably be called out for sugarcoating, and getting criticism for not talking about the unwanted traits of this wing, that you experienced during the time you had it. You can't please everyone, which is why it's always best to do as you did, tell it like it is, and let others decide to take the comments to heart or ignore those.
There is no such thing as a perfect wing. It's a matter of taste. So you didn't care for the wing and others love it. You gave your honest opinion of it without trashing the company. It would have been a disservice to have either not shown the video at all or edited out the fails. Kudos to you my friend.
You just do you. In the end your integrity and honesty will speak for itself.
Tucker " I'm human and want the wing more forgiving " . . Me " I'm glad you sent the wing back you clearly was not suited to that wing and I would miss you and your videos . . Good call bro . . Stay safe . . Big love from boston Lincolnshire England :-) :-)
I’m excited for more wing “first impression” videos... I’ve got a Niviuk Qubik 19m and I really like it awesome wing!! Your honesty and genuineness is what has got you so far nearly 1M subs! Now that’s impressive rock on man 😄🤙🏼
Don't forget that the critics are always the loudest. You're doing an amazing job on this channel and I enjoy every minute spent here.
Ps.: If you ever plan to visit Germany, let me know - I'd love to fly with you and Coop a few videos with you for both our channels.
Because of your van life,it inspired me to buy my own van, although not as nice as yours!Keep on doing what your doing dude, changing lives everywhere!
You sir are the real deal an i appreciate your humility.I love my "caution" shirt.
I don't even fly and I watch Tucker's videos because to me it's very obvious that he's very safety conscious, thorough and honest about everything he does/shows 👍👍
You are still very young, as you get old, you understand that some people live for conspiracy theories (but just some) keep the good job Tucker!
I appreciate your honest opinion Tucker,
Thanks for the additional information on the wing's characteristics. That is exactly what I like to see, and I ignore the hate. I know you are honest, and I'm super appreciative that you have stuck to your guns. Keep it up, and I will continue to watch!!
I'm thinking about buying my first para-motor I have been watching your channel for a while and honesty is important especially with something like this because it could potentially prevent injuries and deaths. Thanks for the honest content.
Keep them coming, no expectations needed. Thanks for all you do.
I commend you on your honesty.... at the end of the day you have to live with yourself and your opinion could actually cost lives. In this industry you have to keep your opinion in front of money, I believe you are doing that.
"i am not a professional pilot"
literally flies in airshow at Oshkosh...
tucker you are a professional...accept it haha
You have a point. Hes kinda a pro at this point. He makes a living off making videos of flying paramotor and performs in the paradigm team. Going pro is literally defined as making a living off the activity.
Agreed, but the term "professional" can be defined different ways. At the very very least, I would consider him, with his Flight team and Airshow experience, an Expert. The company should take his criticisms to heart and re-evaluate the design and make revisions where needed.
He’s def a pro at this point in his life....Im waiting for him to open his own flight school and Ill be first to pay to get more training. He did every step correct learning to pilot and it really shows..... he def shines out of a crowd of people! 👍🏻😬
In times past I have noted that Tucker is NOT a highly experienced or advanced pilot. This is NOT true anymore. He has developed his skills and his private pilot experience has helped him to WIN his very FIRST Icarus Iron Man attempt and has become advanced enough to join the Paradigm Demonstration team. He is NOT as developed as some acro pilots but he is an adventure pilot rather than an acro specialist. He is VERY good at his specialty. Which is cross-country and LIGHT aerobatics.
@@Marcus2750-u1t Honestly if you look at tuckers choices in wing selection through his progression I question his judgement. There are videos of him flying advanced level wings within his first year and jumping to competition level gliders right after. There is obviously no way he could have gotten the required airtime to safely fly these wings within the time frames.
A most thoughtful and honest critique, Tucker!
Trustworthy, forgiving and and a reasonable amount of feedback are traits that I appreciate with motorcycles, sports cars, romantic partners and apparently it's a good idea with paramotor wings as well.
i can appreciate your honesty. you may save someone the hassle of getting a wing that doesn't fit their flying style/ lifestyle.
Men of integrity are rare. Thank you Tucker, keep up the top notch videos.
Great follow up on the failed launches vid, explains a lot. Well done young fella.
Honesty has very high value in this sport & viewers benefit the MOST from total brutal honesty... because life and death are at stake. Good job & keep up the honest work. Honesty is hard to find & when people know you are honest, then they will stick with you forever. HONESTY COMMANDS RESPECT! Cheers
Continue to do what you do Tucker because you've put in the hours for those sponsorships. At least people see the products in action. Stay cool man.
Honesty is everything when it comes to people’s lives 👍 and with all your flying experience people will listen to you 👍 thanks for being honest .
I am interested in paramotor and plan on getting training in the future. I like your videos because you always show logical safe information for new pilots. Which is a lot of your audience so their is no controversy.
People talk smack as they are jealous, keep on keeping on. Don’t let them piss you off. Love your vlogs 👍
Great response to all the drama that came out of the last video.
THANKS TUCKER! Don't let the bastards get ya down...Good Job! Just keep doing what you doing.
Good review and initial test! Launch probs largely overcome but the wing threatening to spin out on a normal landing approach would be a no-go for me, too. Keep up the good work!
I love your vids Tucker I appreciate your honesty and your opinion, I can only speak for myself but it never even entered my mind that you would intentionally trash merchandise to appease other manufacturers keep up the kid work bro
Some people in this sport have such strong opinions, and always seem like they are being attacked by this or that. All the 'DRAMA' involved really puts a black eye on this sport. I wish everyone would be more proactive in helping others within the sport, and not take everything as a challenge or an attack. I appreciate the videos, thanks!
Ever since I started watching your videos I have been impressed with your eye towards safety. Always putting that first keeps me watching you. If something doesn't "feel right" don't do it. I don't care what the reason is, equipment, wind conditions, weather concerns, daylight falling, anything, always err on the side of caution. That said, This 66 year old man can fly vicariously through you so stay safe and fly on!!!
Well done, clearly a man of integrity.
Another fantastic video. I had a buddy years ago that I'd tease when he drank. He'd stick his little finger way out, so I told him I was going to get my pruning shears. LOL
Sounds fortunate that someone as observant and experienced as you had a chance to test the wing. Based on all of your descriptions it sounds to me like the wing in its neutral position already has a very high angle of attack. That would contribute to it effectively stalling out on the launch before it even really gets over your head, and why it would fall back anytime you applied brake pressure at low air speed. And would explain the need for additional pressure on A’s until you gain airspeed. Actually sounds pretty dangerous to me, sounds to me like it should be flown with the trimmers all the way out constantly until all the lines are adjusted to lower the neutral angle of attack a few degrees.
I agree. If this were an aircraft, say a basic ultralight, it would seem to be trimmed such that the center of gravity is too far back. Slide the pilot forward, decrease the angle of attack, fly faster than stall speed.
Whatever you do Tucker, stay honest !!! .. It is ALWAYS refreshing to see someone as honest as you! ... Keep up the great work! .. BTW, when is the wedding? .. You and Jaclyn make such a fantastic couple .. you know it's coming! .. :-) .. take care and be safe !!
squidly2112 yep, time to marry dat girl!
You did the right thing Tucker, this looks like a specialised wing with some instability built in a bit like a fully aerobatic aircraft and hey dude- you're still alive...............
5:20 "Out ran the wing," - very cool observation!
Phenomenal video, nobody could believe you’er not honest about these things unless they are bias themselves. Great job and thanks for the additional info. 😀
If you’re honest about your feelings and they don’t like it they don’t have to watch it!
I appreciate all that you do!!
You do a great job with your videos. Let the haters hate. I'm from Brazil and a paramotor pilot with the same flying profile as yours. Love your vids and analises. Take care Bro.
Well done Tucker, sorry you had to make that video. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates your opinion and unbiased way you deliver your content.
Dont ever stop!
Kiddo there are a lot of us that watch your videos chomping at the bit juat waiting for that day when they can order gear, get trained and airbourne so let me say that I am thankful for the steer away from something that I could get hurt on.
Some people are too imaginative. They assume negative reviews are always "Opposition- Sponsored"..... Don't take it personally buddy. You're doing great!
Conclusion of the story is I would say that if manufacture recommend wing to competition pilots take this SERIOUSLY.
I found his video useful for me to remind me that principal once more.
You seem to be very fair and objective. I am surprised how far you took what seemed to be a not very safe situation.
I enjoy your channel and trust you.
Good job Tucker. Much respect. I dont fly paragliders but love to watch you do it! Im more into traditional airplanes. But to each his own... as long at it gets you into the air!
Well done! Never apologize for telling the truth.
17:50 "l know myself personally, and I think I'm a very honest person."
Put in on a t-shirt! I'll buy it. 😂😂😂😁👍🏼
Not enough honesty in this world so Bravo Tucker....for all the Gottfiends out there, here is a bit of aviation history, Flightboxvideo, (on You Tube)
Has a vid from the glider centre @ Long Mynd, a beautiful part of Shropshire, U.K., showing a rather elderly English gent, flying a T38 grasshopper glider, dating back to WW2, it’s a hoot ! 🎶 Those magnificent men in their flying machines 🎶 dum, diddy, dum, dum 🎶
Peace & love from England !
Considering how deadly the stall on turn to final has always been to student pilots, I would say this wing is inherently dangerous to operate. If it gets Tucker's attention, it should terrify every potential operator.
I agree 100%. If it gets his attention, and you are not a really good at flying, just say no :) I would never ever second guess him. Damn, have these haters not seen all he has done and accomplished???
The fact is nobody respects or listens to someone that lies to them or tells them what they want to hear, at least not for long. In business I may not always make an extra dollar or an extra $1000 by telling the truth today, but the guys that lies will lose their customer tomorrow and mine will still call. I get some of theirs too 😉. And your viewers will still be here watching because your genuine and honest. I appreciate that.
To be truth and honest is, as I see it, the only way to go ahead! Tank you!
Perfect example that everyone has different needs or wants in their wing selection.
Well done. ✌️
Thank you for the honest impressions. None of us use the same pen. Also, none of us drive the same vehicle. Vehicles are different for different needs. Offended warp pilots should maybe take the time to test other wings and do their impression videos. We need more comparison videos and less bashing each other.
Great video! I am an aspiring Paramotor pilot currently taking lessons and value the honesty that you put to us for consideration. The info you give us is up to our interpretation. The glass is half full or half empty depending on who you are and what your experience is. I am not ready for a wing like this, but I am much more the wiser about wings overall. Safe flights to us all!
Crushing it, it’s what Tucker does.👍🏻
I can not believe you do not have 1 mil subs yet
Soooo close though
With vids like yours you should have way more recognition
i've been lurking for a while.
when you're in the air, your life is on the line. if you're uncomfortable with a certain wing, that should be more than enough for people to understand why you don't want to use it.
Thank you for the honest “First Impressions” video; much appreciated! ✌️
I like that you take the high road. Thank you for that.
I'm a pretty good judge of someone's character, even through the lens of UA-cam. Never once did I suspect you were anything but a decent person - I can just tell. Still, I can just imagine the hate "mail" you got on that vid! I know how the internet is. People take things super literally, and even if you spell it out in bold print, they will never read and understand what you meant.
Great vid, Tucker - just keep doing what you're doing - it's all great, buddy!! 👍🍻
Almost 1 million subscribers congrats , keep up your shannaguns
Don’t worry Tucker, I stuck around!😊👍 At the end of the day, I value your opinion because you value this sport to such a degree; it makes me jealous.
First impressions are just that, first impressions.... The wing didn't impress. Indeed it caused a moment or two of concern. Your honesty is the best policy. Well done Tucker.
I appreciate your honesty about the with 5 failed launches
Thats how we learn.. By trying something new.
Thank you very much for that honest opinion. I really feel like you just might have saved someone a very serious incident or even worse. Keep up the good work sir!
The great thing about honesty, it's not necessary to keep track of the lies. Now if you've got Irish in you,it is ok to embellish your old stories as time goes on. LOL
Appreciate the first video and this second impressions. Keep being you man! :)
Ignore the drama. I appreciate your honesty and integrity.
