- Kony 2012. If you were on the internet back then, there's no way you haven't heard of Joseph Kony. A Ugandan warlord who terrorized villages and kidnapped children to make them into child soldiers, he's a legitimately bad dude. Back in 2012, he was public enemy #1 for a few months thanks to some very aggressive (and slightly insane) activists. After becoming the "most viral video of all time" and receiving millions of views and shares on social media, Kony is....still living his life, uncaptured.
The Kony 2012 phenomenon has long been forgotten, but not in northern Uganda. That's the region that was hit the hardest by his attacks. 10 years later, the region is now far more peaceful. I wanted to go for a visit and get some perspectives on the conflict. Maybe even find one of the world's biggest war/memelords. To do so, I'd have to call up a familiar face to join me in Gulu. It was time for another East African adventure.

It all depends on your level of interest, if you play for the love of the game and sheer enjoyment rather than to achieve something with it, you'd be surprised how much better you play it. For where there is desire there is fear and the the latter numbs your intelligence.

Tommy, I also have fallen in love with a Ugandan woman. My musoga fiancée and I had our kwanjula in her mother's village near Jinja in June.

Uganda and Kenya so far are my fave countries, people seem very humble and positive. Ghana too. I saw some videos of another youtuber going to South Africa, people there seemed very europeanized and materialistic. Uganda is gold!

I'm originally from Sudan but haven't heard of Joseph Kony living in Darfur.
Hearing that there are many South Sudanese living in Uganda isn't really surprising. Sudan was the largest country in Africa and then the country and people spilt after decades of war😔

It's amazing and pleasing to see how similar the Ugandan and Kenyan landscape is. In terms of Kony, I would not be surprised if he was actually in Uganda, disguised as an old, retired man. I doubt he's in the bush, risking being caught, and enduring all the rough living that is entailed with such a life. He's probably in a mansion somewhere with 10 or so close and trusted people (from the same tribe) who look after him. That would be my guess. Great video.

The guy that ran Kony 2012 just had really pure intentions, but went insane from the pressure. It’s worth looking up, because the guy really wanted to do something important, he knew first hand what Kony did but his campaign blew up beyond his expectations and he had a breakdown.

Tommy, I enjoyed this video a lot. I like it that you showed the countryside and some of the wildlife. Can you give us a tour of actual jungle over there? Are there Chimps or Gorillas in Uganda? Good video and interesting. Thanks.
Ask him to go to bwindi impenetrable forest. To stop over Tororo tirinyi there is a baboon place they sometimes take over the area. Then they can go to the game parks but that's all money spent. Mabira forest all those are not far away from where they are. They take the same drive.

You seeing those wild elephants brought back memories flooding back of when we used to go on safari from Dar in the school holidays, so many animals, thousands of zebras, antelopes, giraffes, rhino, elephants, lion, every animal you can think of, they say a lot are still there which is great, it was a wonderful sight to behold, it was a long time ago, some 60 years.
