I lost my wife of 20 years in 2022. She is at peace and doesn't hurt anymore. I am moving on with my life but sometimes... well sometimes I get hit with a song.. I will see her again, and that is all I hold onto when it hurts...
I was talking to my husband who passed 9-30-23. And this song started playing on Spotify….he answered me with this…I love that man so much and I know I’ll be with him one day ❤️🖤
I Do Know This Song Has Touched everyone That Has This Kind of Love For Each Other. This Song Has Touched Everyone's Heart That Has This Strong Love That is Given By Each Other I Think Of It As A Wedding Song That Every Couple would Need To Be Played At Weddings and on Every anniversary To remind Them Of Their Wedding Day and The Love God Wishes for Every Couple To remind Them of Their Wedding Vows. Love Should Be Forever. God's Love Is Forever. Just an Old Great Grandmother's Option. Love Is Forever. Love Is Kindness and Respect You Give For each Other Everyday. Never destroy By Taking Each Other For Granted and saying or Doing unkind Things To Each Other. Showing Love has to Be Done everyday not just Said. An Old Great Grandmother.
We don’t hear angelic songs like these anymore. Pretty much explains why the world is so dark and cold. This world needs healing and songs like these is the antidote
I lost my husband on 08-22-2022. I played this song to him about 6 hours before he passed away. I also played it at hos memorial service. I play it all the time. I miss him so much.
I cry every time I hear this song. It's a beautiful song, don't get me wrong. It makes me think of my grandparents, especially after my grandma died, I took my granddaddy to the funeral home to see her one last time before she was cremated. As I pushed him up to her, in his wheelchair, he said with tears in his eyes, "I'll be with you soon, sweetheart." He passed three years later, almost to the day. I miss them so much, even a quarter of a century later.
For someone who received the news nobody ever wants to hear...for someone who will walk through a trial nobody wants to walk through...you are not alone...we are all here with you, walking with you. God bless you and guide you through this trial. We love you.
So nice you posted that. I lost both mother and father at different times but have been thru many struggles but life is full of peaks and valleys. Kahil Gilbran wrote beautifully some of the strongest souls are covered with scars or something close
This song really touched my heart just lost my wife of 51 yrs sept 2nd 2020 only God knows the loneliness I feel in my heart .Hope to join you soon sweetheart I’m so tired love you .
I couldn't imagine, sir. The good Lord is holding her safely in His arms now. She's in such glory, happiness and bliss, we couldn't imagine it here in this broken world. Hold that dear to your heart and know Jesus. He will be sure to reunite you two very soon. This age is verrrry VERY close to being over, so it'll be sooner than we all think. Know Him and soon you'll fly away to her and worship Him together!😉🙂👍
I've always loved Collin Rayes down to earth, no nonsense persona. No cowboy hat, no flashy costumes, just pure talent! Love, Me is a haunting song and has lost none of its powers 30 years later.
I wasn’t sure how old this song is and the first one I heard it, someone sang it at a karaoke bar. I thought it was sweet. Then I listened to it today and recently. I can sing this myself without the tune and get goosebumps. It’s so sweet and special.

This song just took on a special significance for me. Yesterday, I stood at the bedside of my sweetheart and loving companion of 17 years, and listened as her heart finally gave out. My heart is broken, and probably will be for a long time to come. I've asked her daughter who is in charge of her funeral arrangements to please include this song, and she's agreed. MaryAlice....until I see you again, I'll be loving you, and will love you forever.
My grandparents died when I was 15. My grandpa said if grannie died first, he'd died within 6 months. Grandpa had dementia badly and knew no one byt the they went to a nursing home. on 12 Feb 1971 my Grannie died of a heart attack. We never told Grandpa. On 14 July 1971, 5months and 2 days later, he joined her. This song reminds me so much of them. I think of then every time I hear it. Thanks Collin.
On June 16, 2017 my father lost his life in a fatal car crash. He leaves behind our mom -- his wife of 44 years, two sons and two grandsons. Dad, please read this in Heaven... Don't give up on me. I'll meet you when my chores are through, I don't know how long I'll be. But I'm not going to let you down. Just wait and see. Truth. Why does it have to be so hard to meet people? I would sing this car with my mom who was the love of my life. She’s gone now, and I’m afraid to love someone that much again. Losing her nearly destroyed me. My students are what keep me going. Pretty sure my mom is finding ways to send me messages through them. ❤️

I remember hearing this song about a year after my grandma and grandpa died in 1985. Little to be known to me, 7 years later my parents were killed. I can't listen to this song, still to this day, without crying. My grandma and grandpa went in a car crash and so did mom and dad. This song is such a beautiful tribute to the ones that we have loved that come from yesteryear.
i lost my wife Mary in 2015 and this song describes how much i loved her and miss her each and every day. thank you Collin Raye for a song so beautiful and the meaning it has
I remember back to the first time I heard "Love, Me" on the radio. While listening to this gorgeous timeless classic, I was blown away. And still today, whenever I hear "Love, Me" I am blown away.
So it's been 13 bittersweet days since I lost my sweet lover and friend, Janice Mae...after 10 awesome years filled with joy, laughter, and a few tears...this was OUR song, and I played it for her an the piano often, and every note, card, text and email I ever sent her from day one was signed "❤,me"...I am trying to get enough courage and strength to play and sing it at her upcoming Celebration of Life, knowing that it will only be through God's strength that I'll be able to do so without being a big "bawling mess"...She was pure kindness and love...thanx Collin for a beautiful song that will live in Janice's and my heart and soul for eternity...🎶🎹💔🌹❤😊kernal chris
My grandpa has cancer and I remember when we were in the car he was singing this and I love god don’t let him go, love u grandpa. Update: He passed in January haven’t been the same 1950-2020 Used to make memories with him now he’s just a memory😭

Always makes me think of my grandpa's funeral when my grandma stopped to say " goodbye Buck" as we were leaving the gravesite. Still tears me up 30 years later
This is one of my favorite songs,it makes me always think of my late wife and child who were trapped in the robbery at the bank some years ago.. It's my pleasure 😇 meeting you..How are you doing?
I was just thinking the same thing. Back when songs had meaning and told stories or conveyed life lessons. Seems that most of today's music is backed by some kind of synthesized beat. Time change I guess and I suppose I'm getting old, but it just isn't the same.
I have always been a huge fan of collin raye....this is a song of his that I listen to everyday since his album released......I'm a war veteran and have watched numerous friends of mine die as well as in my personal life my mom and dad grandparents on both sides.....I listen to it everyday and when I listen to it ...it almost like I can feel everyone that I lost looking down over me....this song has moved me for many many years and always brings me to tears but in a good way because I know when my time is done I will be able to see them all again
My son was named after him. My husband and I had the privilege too spend an evening with him while he was waiting to go on stage. I was pregnant and we told him we were naming our son after him. It was a wonderful time. He was so gracious.
I was in Vietnam when my grandpa passed always I to this day I can't get over missing him cause I wasn't able to come home after I got home from the war I went to his grave and cried and cried to this day I'll always sings it I know he is in heaven waiting for me God bless him
I just found this video after reading Broken Harts. He performed this song at Owen's service. I have tremendous respect for that. My heart is crushed for that family.
My great grandfather is WWII Veteran and he is 96 and my grandmother is 95. They lived together for 75 years married and he just got put in VA home a month after their 75th Anniversary. They will never be able to see each other because he got put in the memory loss unit.
Scott Miller I used to work in a memory care facility and it’s rough and I’m sorry that you family has to go through this process. It’s never easy. I pray you and your family luck and strength with what is to come as the memory fade more ❤️
Both of my grandfathers served in World War II. My father’s father died on February 8, 2004. My mother’s father died February 1, 2020. I miss them every single day.
I love this song. Always reminds me of my mom and dad. He felt this way about her. They both are gone now, it tears my heart out. He loved her so much. Miss you both.
My mom passed summer, 2019. My dad is fading fast, December. Married 63 years. I don’t know how long he’ll be-but he’s not going to let her down, til he see’s her again, I know he’s loving her and sending this out to her, “Love, Me.”
My girlfriend has graduated university and went back to her home country, its hard being here in Jamaica alone without her. Of we have plans to get married right after my graduation but man I see her face everywhere on campus, I think of her when I'm in places we'd have really fun moments while she was here. So I told her I'll meet her when my work is through, I don't know how long I'll be, I'm not gonna let her down so between now and then till I see you again I'll be loving you, love me. We're 6 months and counting long distant and yet we're tighter than ever. Love is a glue that doesn't need proximity to keep its subjects together, and a slave master that doesnt beat his slaves to get the work done. Those quotes were made by yours truly by the way, any who folks blessings on your love journey, Im blessed on mine. One Love right out a Jam Dung, yuh zimi, big up fi real mi G Collin Raye.
I had a love affair with country music in the 90s. This was one of the many songs that populated my life then. Touching, uplifting song. I got to see it live about 10 years ago.
Reminds me of my own Grandma and Grandpa. Their relationship was pretty rough for the the longest time, because she didn't realize how much he truly loved and adored her. My grandma passed away last September... And after she passed she was the only thing that my grandpa could think about. He tried putting on a happy face, but you could always tell that the biggest part of his heart was missing. Ironically just like the the song says, I had never seen him cry until the day when she passed. My grandpa couldn't stand to be without my sweet grandma any longer... He passed away last December. He joined my grandma in heaven and now there is no pain, no turmoil, no agony. They live in peace together. Loving each other always.
I lost my Grandmother in Dec of 2017 and even now 5 years later I'm not ashamed to say I get tears in my eyes everytime I listen to this, her and Grandpa spent 58 yrs of marriage together, now Gramps is 85 and misses her everyday!!
This song hit me when my mother died in 2001, they had a love as the couple who inspired this song. My father joined her in 06. This song took on a new life in my heart when in 18 my Linda of 44 years died. I can't hear your tune with crying, this has to be the most beautiful love song I've ever.
My great uncle passed away 26 years ago. My Great Aunt passed away just barely this month 26 years later exactly to the day. Her chores are through now she can be with her sweetheart
This was my mom and dad’s song. I sang it and another song my mom loved at mom’s funeral for my dad. I couldn’t look his direction the whole time I sang this song. “Lauren’s Song” was a favorite of my moms from a band we both liked called Breathe Carolina.
it makes me cry too. my great grandparents were like this. her family thought he was beneath her. they were together for nearly 40 years before she passed had 8 kids
My family and I kept hearing this song while we drove up to Salt Lake for my grandma's funeral back in 2001. I love this song but it does make me cry. We lost my grandpa within a year of my grandma. Now, my other grandparents are dying so this song is really touching me now.
I just recently lost my dad as in he died last Monday and now this song brings tears to my eyes and this is the first time I've heard the full song since I've had the ringtone for awhile
This was my grandmother's favorite it reminded her of my grandfather. Before she passed I sang this song to her the room was silent and my aunt goes to me is that u sing I said, yes she goes u have a nice voice that was for my nana before she passed and I told her after that and I knew she heard me say to her go and see grandpa
Such a beautiful song. When you truly 🙏 love someone want nothing be able to keep the 2 of you separated. But times like this song talks about a time that comes were the 2 get separated which is when the Father 🙏 is ready to take you home. It dearly hurts to see them go for all they meant to you but always keep in mind that ya will be together again only this time for ETERNITY!! God bless 🙏 you and your family Collin Raye!!!
l agree with you, indeed Collin Raye is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days
Wow, had forgot all about this song. This was one of my dads favorite songs, he passed away 3years ago and this really brought back some good ole memories!
The only man who I had truly love ❤️ and He did the same. We both was young, he made a mistake and it changed ❤️ between us, I cried but never hated him. He passed away but I still Love ❤️ him. This Song is Great 👍 it brings back memories. Glenn RIP.
I have always loved this song. Now this song has a special place in my heart. They played this song a few years ago at my Grandaddy's funeral while showing pictures of him and my Mawmaw who had passed away years before he did. Not a dry eye in the house during that song.
Remember when country music was about getting up early and working all day to make a living for your family and loved ones? Now it's all about partying, drinking and beautiful women. Im sad.
I miss my first husband, he's been gone 21 years now and I wish I could hear his voice one more time. I love you Ernest, I'll see you when I get there.
2 decades ago I got the call that I should come to the hospital, my mom wasn’t doing well. I sped the whole way. As I was getting close to the hospital, this song came on. It calmed me, it was the last song I heard before she passed. I’ll never forget
This song came on right when I got in the car to leave for the hospital to say goodbye to my uncle Yesterday. I definitely feel he wanted me to hear it to provide to his wife. I will always think of him when I hear this song now. RIP David
My daddy passed away 2 years ago today, on the 4th of July. He was 89 years old. He was in his easy chair watching his favorite old western movies. He just slipped into eternal sleep doing what he loved. I miss him every day.
I can relate to this song soo much. I was 15 when i lost my grandma and to this day it still hurt's. She was my world. So every now and than i play this song and just cry and remember her. ❤
I love my wife so much. Her father didn't like me either when we first got together. But later on he found out he really needed me. And now if my wife dies first Im gonna tell her just wait on me. I don't know how long I will be but eventually I will be there with you forever. God bless you my dear love Debbie
First heard this song on the public bus in CO when I first moved there. Coming from.NY I was used to taking public transportation..but DEFINITELY NOT used to busting out in tears in public!!!
Veronica Delery Guess the people on the bus thought you were really going through something traumatic or probably bad relationship, and they never knew it was just this song!
This is one of the best new country songs ever written. It's the song that turned me onto country music in a big way. I was bored and fed up with the talk radio I had been listening to while doing a big renovation on my home. I started tuning the radio looking for something else and ended up on a Toronto radio station CISS-FM. I heard this song first off and fell (with subsequent reinforcement songs) in a big way for the type of story songs I was hearing. It reminded me of the greatly crafted story songs of the late Harry Chapin. Thanks Collin Raye.
I lost my wife of 20 years in 2022. She is at peace and doesn't hurt anymore. I am moving on with my life but sometimes... well sometimes I get hit with a song.. I will see her again, and that is all I hold onto when it hurts...
God bless you Sir. May you know God's love for you.

I was talking to my husband who passed 9-30-23. And this song started playing on Spotify….he answered me with this…I love that man so much and I know I’ll be with him one day ❤️🖤
I had a similar experience Little Rock back in the 90's. God works through this man's music. That's is a certainty.

The song converted me to 90s country. While I listen to lots of different music, I’ll always have a love and appreciation of this type of country.
The night my husband died (13 years ago) this song came on the radio and I just lost it. I cry every time I hear it.
Me too.
That is so fucked up and sad!

It truly hits differently when you love someone so deeply. the tears are still coming as I'm typing this
Back when Country music was Country.
Yes. I totally agree.
Back when music was music, in general
I miss the days when country wasn't cool
I was just thinking the same thing. Back when songs had meaning and told stories or conveyed life lessons. Seems that most of today's music is backed by some kind of synthesized beat. Time change I guess and I suppose I'm getting old, but it just isn't the same.
This so true. Music isn’t what it used to be.
This song hits hard for me.. last year I lost my dad .. reminds me of him ... miss ya pops.. 🙏🙏🙏
My very good friend is now laying in a hospice house with stage 4 cancer.
I dreamed of him today and heard this song in my dream.
All these people watching The Voice will finally experience real country.
I like this song and the lyrics are great and no twang in the voice that makes it impossible to understand a word
On ,October 1st will be the 30th Anniversary of when my Grandma passed away. I love and miss you, Anna Pauline Maher.
My grandparents eloped in 1954. We lost my grandpa last month and I can't listen to this song without tearing up.
My son was named after him. My husband and I had the privilege too spend an evening with him while he was waiting to go on stage. I was pregnant and we told him we were naming our son after him. It was a wonderful time. He was so gracious.
Thank you Collins Raye. ..this song is a gift to us all.
I was in Vietnam when my grandpa passed always I to this day I can't get over missing him cause I wasn't able to come home after I got home from the war I went to his grave and cried and cried to this day I'll always sings it I know he is in heaven waiting for me God bless him
My grandfather just passed away a week ago and this song rips my heart out. Friends of mine sings it and I can't listen. Beautiful song
MusicGirl88. i lost my husband 6 years ago thos song makes me cry
Like the Notebook :(
Scott Miller I used to work in a memory care facility and it’s rough and I’m sorry that you family has to go through this process.
Jill Roy Take comfort in knowing they're together again. 😊
Wonderful they knew that kind of love during their time here, and that you got to grow up in the glow of that love. 🙂❤
No such thing as that kinda of love today. That’s why our memories of our parents and grandparents and music like this stirs the soul.
My mom passed summer, 2019. My dad is fading fast, December.
Married 63 years. I don’t know how long he’ll be-but he’s not going to let her down, til he see’s her again, I know he’s loving her and sending this out to her, “Love, Me.”
What and where did your dad die from exactly?
Loving each other always.
my Nanny passed away on January 9, 2019, and it's been 4 years, 3 months, and 2 days since she passed away, and she was 87
I lost my Grandmother in Dec of 2017 and even now 5 years later I'm not ashamed to say I get tears in my eyes everytime I listen to this, her and Grandpa spent 58 yrs of marriage together, now Gramps is 85 and misses her everyday!!
😢😢
This song hit me when my mother died in 2001, they had a love as the couple who inspired this song. My father joined her in 06. This song took on a new life in my heart when in 18 my Linda of 44 years died. I can't hear your tune with crying, this has to be the most beautiful love song I've ever.
My great uncle passed away 26 years ago. My Great Aunt passed away just barely this month 26 years later exactly to the day. Her chores are through now she can be with her sweetheart
That is so sweet 💛
This was my mom and dad’s song. I sang it and another song my mom loved at mom’s funeral for my dad. I couldn’t look his direction the whole time I sang this song. “Lauren’s Song” was a favorite of my moms from a band we both liked called Breathe Carolina.
This song is so heartwrenching...every time I hear it...i cry...my husband cries...reminds so much of my parents and grandparents...all gone now...💔
I am so glad that someone did this song on the voice. Bring back the 90s country!
This song is responsible for my husband proposing to me early.
😭😭😭
it makes me cry too. my great grandparents were like this. her family thought he was beneath her. they were together for nearly 40 years before she passed had 8 kids
This is the song I like the most whenever I'm sad I listen to it❤
November 8th 2020
I lost my mother ❤ I really miss her 😢 very much 💔 I wish I can hug her for one last time 😢
This song reminds me of the love my parents had for each other. They are both gone now. I miss them.

You and me both darlin', you and me both, and I'm a 6' 4" 300 lb. trucker.
Im sad.
me too
Agreed sir.
“Life is brief but when it’s gone, love goes on and on.”
One of the best songs ever.
I miss my first husband, he's been gone 21 years now and I wish I could hear his voice one more time. I love you Ernest, I'll see you when I get there.

Still listening to this music every afternoon
Very deep Music
One of the most undying and legend Music of all time
Discovered this song yesterday while listening to 90’s country songs. I directly went to Apple Music to get it and have been listening to it since…
Someone just crushed this song on "The Voice".
Yes Todd did.
That version tested my memory of the 90's for sure
Troy Hagen yes Todd did! I cried like a BABY!!! 😭😭😭😭
Todd Tilghman blew it away!
Todd's was better imo
2 decades ago I got the call that I should come to the hospital, my mom wasn’t doing well. I sped the whole way. As I was getting close to the hospital, this song came on. It calmed me, it was the last song I heard before she passed. I’ll never forget
One of the best songs ever written
I lost my husband 9 months ago I've played this song at least 1000. It really touches my heart so much. much
Hello Brenda
How are you doing?
It's nice to have you here!
Country music will always be famous for telling stories to beautiful melody
Older Country, no doubt, current garbage, not so much
This song came on right when I got in the car to leave for the hospital to say goodbye to my uncle Yesterday. I definitely feel he wanted me to hear it to provide to his wife. I will always think of him when I hear this song now. RIP David
I just heard this song on The Voice...
Wow... It is Beautiful...😘
My daddy passed away 2 years ago today, on the 4th of July. He was 89 years old. He was in his easy chair watching his favorite old western movies. He just slipped into eternal sleep doing what he loved. I miss him every day.
What a Song!!! Breaks me up...
I can relate to this song soo much. I was 15 when i lost my grandma and to this day it still hurt's. She was my world. So every now and than i play this song and just cry and remember her. ❤
Back when country music was authentic and GOLD. You know its right when it gives you chills!
This was my favorite song as a child. And it still is my favorite.
I love my wife so much. Her father didn't like me either when we first got together. But later on he found out he really needed me. And now if my wife dies first Im gonna tell her just wait on me. I don't know how long I will be but eventually I will be there with you forever. God bless you my dear love Debbie
(Tears) I’ll forever love this song! ❤️🥰
This song was my introduction to Country music.
I miss u grandma
This is such a beautiful song
