Hey you’re so right, this does look really cool. It has a retro feel, I don’t know anything about cameras can you tell me what gives this such a cool look? Is it the camera or color correction/editing?
@@MM-zm9je heya well it's kinda like my videos if you have a look the bass covers that I've done are in 4:3 and I've used a Canon XM1 that has an old 3CCD ( old type of digital sensor ) that gives low resolution and that data are being captured on the MiniDv tapes and when I transfer them in to my PC they only give me about 480 horizontal lines ( resolution ) so its very low res and not a lot of details which combined with the 4:3 ratio gives this retro feel which I love. In this video they were using a lot of cameras but you can spot a guy holding a big camera on his shoulder, which is probably and old type from 2004-2008 or before 2012 I think, they might've used MiniDv tapes to capture it or cards maybe. But also you can't do a lot of editing to that footage bc there is not enough information to play with and as soon as you do any corrections to the colour you will destroy the whole thing. I love my Canon but the only thing that bugs me is that when you record and there is not a lot of sound around you can clearly hear the motor that moves the tape which is a bit annoying. Ask more if you want and I'll try to explain.
