How the times have changed! I remember when Ross never traded pre-market because of a lack of volume. I think he changed during the 'gamestonk' days, and now I think he trades more premarket than after the open (who cares as long as you're green!)
If you show up late to the dance alone your only choice is the “well rounded” girl that can’t dance. These days some of the best moves come during premarket but in one of Ross’s videos he pointed out that most retail brokers don’t allow trading or have restrictions prior to 7AM Eastern. Before 7 its very thin volume and Algorithm computers rule the price move most of the time. That was a nugget I missed till he dropped it in a video.
I will place trades with a 5% trailing stop. I have been knocked out of the trades when the market price and the bid were not at the stop price. I am told that there are bids lower down the chain that are triggering this. I don't understand why this would happen. It would suggest to me that someone could put a 1 cent bid out for any stock and then trigger everyone's trailing stop. Why am I getting triggered? What can I do besides sit at my computer and follow the market price? Any insight would be appreciated. Hi, Ross! What time do you actually start trading, I mean what time you actually turn on your computer? (Live in AZ it 3 hours difference with NY). Just want to know when do I need to get up to start preparation? Thanks in advance.
As a beginner trader for the 2:1 profit 20 cents profit 10 cents stop. Do you think in this market is still viable to still use or would making it 15 cents stop loss be more acceptable? whats your thought on the matter to keep tight stops and to grow a small account in this market?
Question…ok then that point when decide to you close, does your trading platform require that you first “cancel the stop?” Or do you adjust the stop and close with the modified stop? (my stop losses always caused me to mess up)

🤓👍
Thanks for covering this. I forget you trade a lot pre-market and that makes total sense.
You're welcome Jazz!
For retail traders during actual markey hours, what's your take and advise on the use of a trailing stop order?

Usually around 8:30am EST.

That is still what Ross typically aims for, though it varies trade to trade. Luckily momo has been starting to pick up again.
For your momentum plays, do you use hard stop losses?
Yes definitely!

Yep, well explained
Thank you!
I figured that much
Ross the Boss
This is terrible advice.
My apologies
Well that makes sense 🧐
Makes sense
👍🙌
How can I find a brokerage where I can trade in the premarket? TOS doesn't seem to have it available.
Try NinjaTrader and trade futures micros.
Tradezero America, lightspeed, TOS does allow premarket trading but limit order only
@@ruststar yeah because "at the market" orders only work when the market is actually open.
