I met Tameka years ago when she was eating with her son Kyle at a restaurant in Alpharetta, GA. The woman was so down to earth and gracious and we chatted for about 5 minutes about a documentary I was filming on breast cancer. She told me I should reach out to Dr. Jackie (who was not on Television at the time.) That truly changed my entire opinion of anything negative that I have ever heard about her. She seemed to be a straight shooter who was honest and real and I truly appreciated that.
The nerve of anyone to question this woman's beauty. She is stunning, always has been. I hate that it's even a conversation.

I never understood, outside of colorism, why people were so upset about her marriage to Usher. She's beautiful! And the fake uproar surrounding her age. Chilli was older than him, as well. Around the same age difference. But Chilli had the "exotic" look despite her brown skin. Tameka was mistreated and I'll never forget the nasty comments she received for simply existing. Colorism was never the issue as to why people didn't like her for Usher. Her attitude & age was what people didn't like. The difference between her and Chili is that everyone already knew and loved Chili. I think I just realize why Carlos is so successful when it comes to producing shows and working in the entertainment industry centered around ensembles of women…. He actually loves women you can tell by the way he interviews the way he talks about women. He has a profound love for women.

I honestly think outside of the show, and in conversation with Tameka she seems like a cool ass person honestly. I think she comes off mean on the show based on editing and I think she just has no tolerance for superficial people and honestly that’s how I am. I am from Atlanta and I do remember the timeline what led up to Tameeka’s divorce. I can say that Tameeka was not prepared for what came along with being married to Usher. I remember people making jokes even on radio about her skin being dark, along with her being “ unattractive and comparing her to Chilli, her responding to a lot of the backlash contributed to the demise of her marriage, I also remember when she raced up to the radio station and it was an altercation, she’s gone through a lot

Watching the full season of Bold & Bougie, shed a new light on Tameka for me. At first, I thought she was a bit standoffish, but as the show progressed on, I found that she began to open up. I like the different levels of ages in the women on this show! Tameka is a grown woman and comes off as an Auntie who is fun, fashionable, and full of wisdom! I met tameka so many years ago when she was Subway's and 702's stylist. In Indianapolis . I was dancing for some of the acts that were there for black expo. We actually thought she was their manager as she was totally running everything that had to do with the group at that time. She even gave us different tops to make sure we matched with group . She was so ahead of her time with thechoices she had for the group..a lot of metallic silver and black patent leather . She gave them a swag and style that showed up in fashion some time later .
I hate when people think just because you are straight forward, don't let you get in your business. Then say you mean. Keep it real Tameka and stay true to yourself 💯💯❤️

I remember thinking why did Usher marry her, but not because of her looks. I thought she appeared older than him. But listening to her, I see why, she is very confident and is funny. Usher liked what he saw and we can't be mad at that. Now he is with a total opposite and now the standards of the industry are even worse when it comes to a woman's looks.
And her personality is VERY similar to Usher’s mom, J PAT…his mom is no non sense too
I like her, she's always stood on business and not foolishness. Tamika's name is called in the industry she's just low key.
