MAN! What a gorgeous spot!! Can't wait to visit there, maybe this year before more the word gets out more! I think that Eagle's nest can be seen at 37:45 min. Loons, Otters and BobCats to boot? Definitely I want to miss the blackflies if I can! Good thing you put floaties on your stuff! :-) Jeff
Watching your videos since they started. I don’t talk much so don’t comment. I always give a thumbs up though. All the places are familiar to me. I have been fishing some of them since the 70’s. I always wait to see if you have a video on “my pond” , but none yet. Thank you for sharing. If you ever come upon a small 6x6 wall tent with a stove pipe sticking out the side, that would be me. Always look forward to meeting people and always have some great hooch. Peace¥
I really appreciate you following along on these adventures! You should see some interesting new videos this year, lots of new fishing spots, but I am also going to be dipping my toes into some Adirondack hunting and trapping. I will definitely keep an eye out for you, and if you ever see me first, please come up and say hi!
Nice video and Brookie!! Always like to see the combo of enjoy a fish to eat and also release what you dont need to grow and breed.. looking forward to seeing the pike you catch as the weather cools.
I had a feeling I was incorrect about the "Skunk Cabbage" while editing the video, but was sure someone more knowledgeable would come along to straighten it out! I really want to get better at IDing this stuff while out and about. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice video ! Really enjoyed seeing the fishing, and the beautiful scenery. Love the outdoors since I was a boy scout. Too bad about all the wind, nevertheless a successful trip and you enjoyed it. Awesome 👌
That was a great trip for sure! I chuckled halfway through when you had that debacle with the net and such. Plus it doesn't help that I was busting your chops all day lol. Fun times man
Another great video. Thank you. Can’t wait to get up there and feed the black flies and maybe catch a few. I hope the state gates are open. I’m getting too old to lug my canoe for miles, lol.
Epic trip, so gorgeous! Congrats on all the trout. Guess I gotta get back up there in the spring next year 🎣 Thanks for another great video - made our Sunday!
Never got into any lake trout but I know there are some really nice salmon. I know a few people to ask to see if they ever had any luck with lake trout. I'll get back to you.@@DaxWoodsWanderer
Another nice one Jay. I am finally back home and looking to do some trips this fall. Hoping to do a backpacking trip and then my next trip will be back on the water! Thanks for sharing this.
well id say you had one heck of a trip. good friends good eats and good fishing you cant beat that. saw you on adk addics so i thought id check it out, keep up the nice videos. bill😀
I caught a brookie over 19 inches old hook jawed male in June. I car top a John boat to Adirondacks a few times a year. That was my personal best and I am over 70 years old.
I don't this there are for this particular spot, but most maps in the ADK actually do have at least contour maps of the bottom. I use a series of books called Sportsman's Connection Maps.
Oh I just casually toss those directly into the water or scattered around the woods. Of course I am kidding, they either get burned up in the firepit or in the trash bag.
Hey Mark, I like the standard size 1 LCW, the color really depends on when and where I am fishing. Silver or Gold are good to start with and see what works. Hook size also really depends on what type of Trout I am going after. I usually try to use a smallish baitholder hook trailed about 12-14 inches behind the Wabbler.
You could talk better without that cigarette in your mouth. And you're missing a major part of the Adirondack experience breathing smoke all the time instead of the fragrance of the woods.
Pretty cool to see that bald eagle come down and grab a fish!
Wasn't that wild?! Clearly was showing me who the better angler was.
Yup, natural hunters like that tend to humble us humans rather quickly.@@DaxWoodsWanderer

I will keep that in mind. Thanks!

You ever manage to get into any Lake Trout while here? I can see them on the sonar and tried throwing spoons and jigs at them without much result.

Oh man, that had to be a blast! Awesome to hear that you are still getting out there as well!
Jay, you have to go back to the lean-to and replenish the kindling. good excuse for another round of fishing.
Great video! 👍 Enjoyed it.

Greet video.😍
Thank you!
Have a place in Glenfield inside the blue line.
Hapanowicz😊.
Is this the 5 ponds wilderness?
I miss living so close to Hapz!
You’re not fooling my J You’re no spring chicken lol
How does time manage to pass so fast?!
Can’t decide which lake to go to, but this one is beautiful! What’s the name of this lake?
Come on Jay! You’re a big Lost Lakes fan. Are there bathymetric maps available for the lakes and ponds you’re exploring?
I don't this there are for this particular spot, but most maps in the ADK actually do have at least contour maps of the bottom. I use a series of books called Sportsman's Connection Maps.
What are you using for terminal tackle?
Just curious… where does a chain smoker dispose of all those butts in such a pristine location?
Oh I just casually toss those directly into the water or scattered around the woods. Of course I am kidding, they either get burned up in the firepit or in the trash bag.
Where yu guys at? I just wanna camp there.
Send me a message on Instagram or FB, I don't want to put it out right here in the comments.
What size wabbler, what size hook?

What is that lure you troll with?
They are called Lake Clear Wabblers, there is a great video on UA-cam from Roger's Rigs and Jamie Frasier about how to use them! Good luck!
Who’s awesome Toyota?
Lol I wish it was mine!
See my initials carved on the lean to just after 1:04 😎
I had a feeling I knew who that belonged to!

Lol I live full time in the park dude, I experience it plenty without a cigg. Thanks for watching though.
