Time flows the same as the real world. Only season 1 had different time flow because of Apocalymon. Gennai said that after his defeat the flow of time returned to normal that’s why the kids couldn’t stay for long and had to depart.
Actually time flowed normally here, also Daigo, Masaru/Marcus's dad, had his body stolen by Yggdrasil and then later got disintegrated when he and Bancho Leomon sacrificed themselves to try and kill Yggdrasil, afterwards after the God's defeat he revived Daigo for Masaru. So try to make sense of all of that, lol. XD
Edwin B I truly believe that if his dad hadn’t come back he would never have gone to the digital world with agumon. The ending would of changed. I think they brought him back for it to make sense for masaru going with agumon. Otherwise he’d stay with his family to look after them. I think the writers always intended for masaru to stay with agumon so they write it this way
Well, the one who died was BanchouLeomon, and they were in digital world, so "backups" could happen especially if you consider that Yggdrasil is still pretty much present but hibernating. Savers is supposed to be a true shonen, so no need for such hardcore things. For that, they already have Tamers and most of Adventure 1 and 2 things.
Actually, he's 18 in savers' last part, so he technically finished school somehow, and here we got a years' timeskip, so at 1:14 he's probably 20+. Source: guide books from the anime.
The ending takes a leap of five plus years so that means marcus was in the digi world since years and wont that mean that the promises all those digimon made to their humans about meeting again would never be fulfilled and what about digmon and humans coexisting?
So i guess the timeline of this series is about years after Digimon last evolution timeline, since in this series humancan create their own gate even a teleporter

I loved Savers but this ending is kinda bad for me cause it contradicts two things the series had centered around since the beginning: Humans and Digimon can live together in harmony: -Ends with saying that humans can never understand Digimon and just sends them to the human world. Marcus wants to find his dad and make his family whole again: -As soon as his dad comes back he dips off to the digital world for 5+ years
Being totally fair, Masaru wants to continue the legacy on building a way to make both worlds cohexist peacefully, that his father couldn't finish to Kurata's shit. [Suguru actually wanted to help bringing the harmony to the two worlds] Also, Masaru actually LIKES the idea of travelling Digital World just like how his father did. But this time he won't have to face any dipshit like Kurata to oppose him nor the Royal Knights [As most of them respects him, especially Craniummon who becames a closer friend of Masaru/Agumon and has admiration for Masaru's father]
Masaru did a reverse Ikuto. Kinda selfish of him, disregarding his Human world responsibilities (family,friends etc..) to hang with his best friend and punch through every obstacle they face in the digital world. Hes one of the more Older "digidestined" but has to be one of the the most immature .
Dad had come back and allowed him to go, so why not? he knows everyone can do fine even if he's no present, besides he would probably return asap if something happened to them.
Masaru actually wants to keep the legacy of Daimon Suguru, and having sure that no digimon would turn evil at point on attacking the human world again. And as well, to build a peaceful bridge to make both worlds cohexist. ...Not forgetting the most possible idea for that: Masaru has great chances to becoming the very first Gankoomon
