real madrid was very hard to beat on legend. Though I finally did. Benzema got on the end of all crosses. In one game he scored 4 headed goals...crazy

After initially struggling with the defensive system, I have gotten to grips with it. I moved the shoulder barge button to R2 and sprint to R1. And it feels more intuitive to defend that way. One thing I found is that keeping your hand pressed on the tackle and spring buttons is no good. You have to time the tackle once facing the opposition player on the ball and tap tackle. Momentum is more punished or rewarded in this version. Sprinting like a headless chicken towards an attacking player would see you done easily as you get ghosted past.
Using a combination of the team press, shoulder barge and one on one tacks button is crucial, and the biggest trick is knowing when to use any of them, as the AI in particular is quite smart - they can dribble past a tackle or switch the play by lobbing the ball cross field past a press.
This is more of a simulation than PES 2021 was - not as fun - but a very solid effort. Just hoping that Konami doesn’t fuck it up by trying to cater to the FIFA/arcadey game hungry crowd.
Plus 5 minute matches on the console version is criminal. Some of us just want to play the full game and I have seen enough to be ready to pay money for it now!

Hey Spoony, I seem to have unlocked Legend difficulty in the offline mode but I don't even know how. If it's by beating the legend in the event mode or by beating the superstar AI five times in the offline mode. I have the unlocked installed tho which ends at superstar but discovered I had unlocked Legend today.
hey spoony... how you perform scoop through ball in Manual passing? (Level 4)
Does any other person noticed that Finesse shot has been removed from v1.0? Before it was executed with (Special Controls + Shoot). Now it doesn't work anymore.
Good to see the same old CPU shenanigans have not been removed from the game, that first goal was a joke.
Araujo was the closest guy to the ball when it was played through and should have easily got to it first.
Somehow the CPU gets infront anyway and oddly gifts it back to you (or so it seemed, the forcefield only cares about pushing the ball back towards your own goal, so it doesn't mind you having it back there), only to get force pushed off the ball so it can then veer off perfectly into the path of Maksimovic who somehow Superman sprinted and shoved Vertonghen out infront of the ball so he could adjust his running angle perfectly to then boot it in.
That's why I just can't do it anymore.
Konami will not fix their shit no matter what.

bro just won on legends difficulty 2 1 win over Barcelona, 5 0 win over Real Madrid , not going lie was keeping the ball and makings sure not to make mistskes, I have no legends in my team but my team strength 85 with possession game tactics Ateta as my coach. Oblak in goal was a beast.., pogba and de Jong was my midfield engine and vinni Jr and elanga on the wings , origi was my target man.

You have to be super aware.... And run your defender backwards and don't press any input buttons too soon. Getting the timing just right is crucial for clearing.

I must say the game is fun but the Delay that happens when you miss a ball or the downright stopping of the player when the ball gets passed the back line as If you have no chance to rush a ball headed toward the keeper is obnoxious.. I feel live lost a few games at minimum against cpu and live opponents this way

Why using R2 for sprint and don’t use square for pressure ,,why didn’t make the controls like pes21 ?!
I don't know if it's the camera, or what, but the pitch seems huge and the players seem minuscule.

How do you get your attackers to rush like that? and how does your through ball makes it through. I have my playstyle at quick counter and my attackers are always standing there and not doing anything plus whenever I try to chop the ball to them the defenders just clear it easily without any problem. I'm so frustrated that I couldn't defeat
legend not even once hell it's really hard to score against them in addition to their attacks being really deadly, they are so much harder than most players I've faced and I'm at league 4.
I started playing 5-2-3 plan just to stop their attacks and still receiving a lot of goals from them. My team strength is 2310 and last game I freaking lost 5-0!!
Also: I am using fan view camera, it feels so much better that i can see all my players clearly and make better decisions, however, I believe it's making me miss a lot of scoring chances.

It woulb be cool if you could do a defending tutorial....the Update made some huge improvements (modes,dreamteam,graphics,...) but to me they destroyed the new defending style from the first release patch...its a huge mess even if the team press is a great new tool....but the 1vs.1 feels horrible because when you match up with the defending Player he does Not move as sharp as before....is it just me or does somebody else also feel that 1vs1 situations (match up) are terrible because the Defender moves very bad and very slow? We had to get used to the new defending style when efootball first came out but by the time and after a while the 1vs1 defending was very cool and fair.... do you also think that defending is NOW a huge chaos????? I really hope that they will improve and patch it because there are so many times when you get Goals out of situations where you think in no way that would have happened before...especially not in pes and also not in efootball when they first released it...overall Konami changed a lot in the right direction but the defending creates so often pure Chaos especially online....PS: Thx SPOONY for your Tutorials and videos over the years....im pretty sure it always helped a Lot of People 🙂👍

Need to learn scooped through ball nice one... feel like giving up already the scripting is unbearable online. 2 games in a row 3 nowt down in 20 mins and it doesn't matter what I do ai just moves everyone out of way an makes pass for them

@@SpoonyPizzas offline vs cpu I mean sorry, cuz looking at the teams they give us at efootball, there r just so many good teams to use for ML, I am very worried the gameplay sucks...at superstar/legend difficulty
Efootball has the lamest mechanics tbh.. it looks nice and has the effect of a real match because of the slowness but the passes are so delayed and the ai is just is overpowered. And the cards are given so randomly just for some small touches, not faults. Fifa still has the best playing experience.

This AI is still miles behind FIFA playing legendary on FIFA you have to slow down and build up passes all you need for this is just the one too and you're already facing the back line this isn't football it's ping-pong and I really hate FIFA guess I'm still stuck with pes2019 ever year I return a new pes

You're cheating, why are you playing against a weak team? Play against Chelsea, Liverpool, Madrid etc....at superstar level to gain some respect. At least that's what i do.
