Dribbling has always been one of PES's/eFootball's strongest suits especially compared to FIFA. It feels hella good and more natural than the other game and usually you don't need to perform skill moves in order to dribble past players in PES/eFootball unlike FIFA. However, what kills it for me is the on-rails feeling that Konami seems to not know how to get rid of. If there is one thing I like about FIFA more than eFootball and PES in the past it is that it does not feel as much on-rails as eFootball. They need some advanced tech to get rid of this.
Another thing I dislike is the fact there is no skill-rating system like in FIFA, you can literally perform the Rainbow skill (Sombrero) or the Elastico (flip-flap) by someone like Marouane Fellaini. We need to have a skill-rating system which differentiates the skillful players from the non-skillful ones. I don't want to pull the Rainbow skill with Maguire for example. Also adding a margin for error for these skill moves would make them harder to pull and nerf them which is what's needed, it will also make pulling them off that sweeter but they look amazing on eFootball compared to FIFA.

@@chy.0190 That’s true. Dribbling has become much more prominent and responsive in FIFA but the ice-skating animations that we still get in FIFA is what kills it for me!

Immediately when I saw the title of the video in your Discord Server, based on your comments in your streams, I had a strong feeling you wouldn't mention one specific thing and I was right 😅😂
The usage of R1/RB is without any question one of my most valuable "Buttons" at the moment. Every time I haven' played for some days I wonder why the dribbling (turning) feels so shit until I remember I forgot to use R1/RB.
I always found it simply astonishing, how you don't like the feeling of Saka's Dribbling in-game. Well, considering you're never (consiously) using R1/RB, I kinda get why. Utilizing his close Ball control is the gamechanger for me. Even one of my mates told me, he was blown away how amazing it looks, when I cut inside with Saka after a sprint, while I keep running with a lot of direction and tempo changes vertically around the box and how hard it is for him to even touch the ball once during that process.
At the moment, Saka is by far one of my most valuable players, he even replaced Premium Barcelona Messi in my Starting XI. His dribbling feels so nice and to know, I can basically do almost everything the way in the game, how he does it in reality makes you feel so much more connected and the experience more rewarding (this applies to all players who can do this with obviously).
I basically do Arjen Robben's signature move, cutting inside and curl the ball in the far corner basically every match. Out of all players I have tried so far, the way it feels to dribble with him is among the very best. Only a handful of players are up there when it comes to the way the dribbling of a player feels. (out of those I tried, for me: Messi, Neymar, Modric, Reus, Kubo, Martinelli, Belhanda, Jesus, Marcelo and a few more)
EDIT: forgot to mention these two things:
1. 3 out of 4 times I want to do the Double Touch, I do some sort of skill which results in kinda the opposite of the purpose of the build up, it slows my player down so much, he is always gonna lose the ball thanks to it. It looks absolutely stupid and is super frustrating, did this happen to you yet? (It's not the standard Double Touch, I know there are 3 different Versions)
2. I played against 2014 Neymar today, twice actually... Never have I ever faced a player who is sooo hard to stop, you can try to defend him with 3 players at the same time and he just glides trough...
I did mention R1/RB though dude? Saka is nothing compared to Mahrez for twisting and turning. There's way better dribbles as listed. He's decent (fully levelled), better than Antony (unleveled) atm.
@@SpoonyPizzas Yes, you're absolutely right mate. Excuse me pls, the confusion was most likely caused by the lack of concentration I had yestarday after 0 minutes of sleep the night before.
Btw I will watch your streams again, most likely in around 2 weeks but first I want to finish a project I started almost a month ago. I will release the finished product publicly available for free but won't tell anything about it in advance.
EDIT: The way you describe Saka's dribbling feeling in eFootball is how Salah and Mbappe for isntance feel for me. these feel so terrible
@@cadilillian yes totally agree, he's more of a speedster. Get to high speeds and he's good just don't stop or try twist and turns like perhaps Mahrez and no worries dude :)

Only issue with dribbling is that defenders are able to go straight through the back of a player to get the ball. Shits a foul 12 times out of 10 IRL. Other than that, it is incredibly gratifying to pull good dribbles off in this game.

thank you for making this video! my team has a rating over 2700 but i am still struggling in online games because opponent defence is just way too secure for me cause i dont know how to dribble properly, so i will definitely try to learn some of the skills.

Excellent video again spoony thank you very much well done. I saw a video from a guy and in this video you can see when one opponent gets the arrow, next the arrow shows his yellow card. I ve searched it but i dony know how it could be activated. It is important to know if toir opponent has beem booked (unless you remember it). Do you know how can be on,, this feature ?

In offline matches it workes perfectly, but as soon u go in online games thinks change.players passing back instead of towards like im holding the stick.players are just standing around the ball waiting 4 an opponent to get the ball.every defense player of my opponent becomes Davies wile my mbappe becomes maguire

I really like watching skills/dribblings well done, but I never trained hard enough to be able to do one skill for myself at the right moment in game...
Start with double touch mate, just go straight through the defender and execute it

Definitely something is changed. Gameplay is slightly improving..
Passing systems can be improved..the time taken for the Passing Strength Bar to go from Green to Red can be reduced a little bit. I think that's why it feels like there's a slight delay in execution.
We often tend to play like FIFA, that's why efootball feels different and feels like a bad game for many.
Not a complete game but Once we learn the basic right and starts implementing correctly, then only we can appreciate how good this game is.
No player realism in efootball. They just started developing this game, seems like it will improve
Wow!! This is so cool... I did wish I could use it on the mobile version😊,but as it stands they took out the matchup button,pretty hard now in intercepting passes and funny enough its still been used by AI...well done KONAMI ,well done. What a game this is....🤕🤕🤕
I just cant get myself to dribbling skills. Every now and then I am able to perform maybe one or two, but never on consistent basis, seems like I just move the R3 and it does what it wants, does not matter how much effort or conscience I put into, I am never able to perform a ton of tricks that I would like to. Do you have any recomendation on this?

Which version of Shielding is more effective iyo, PES or Efootball? Why?
PES did it better imo, smarter. Mispressing shield can see your player just stop completely

How do you do a ball roll (like flicking R stick in FIFA) or put your studs on the ball and go backwards (not sure what that's called, drag back maybe) ? I see the AI does that but I can't figure out what command to use TIA.
It's just the left stick, but you push it slightly (not all the way) and hold it there in the direction you want to do the roll. You can change the direction you do the ball roll but just make sure you don't shift the left stick all the way in whichever direction
U need to nudge the Ball backwards using the LS.. Just use LS a little gently. I think a solid angle of less than 30 degree with the LS will do.
Konami need to hire your graphics guy
How do I make my player turn quickly sideways or have my player go to a sudden stop then pull the ball backwards a couple of steps? I always see div 1 and div 2 players do this and they're just so hard to press when doing this. I can't do these moves with Mitoma or Ito or Kubo.
I'm using the national team versions from the team pack (Mitoma and Ito) and the gacha (Kubo)
Spoony, I enjoy your comments and the way you do these videos. Wanted to get your thoughts, do you think Konami will ever save this game and return to the PES way. I don’t enjoy this efootball at all. It looks like a mobile, FIFA game on a console! I miss PES a lot, the look, graphics, view and gameplay. I loved the realistic look of it. This game is just no fun anymore. Will they realise what they did and return to making it for the consoles like it used to be? Thanks

I think efootball is for the football fan that knows football properly I think it gives a better representation of what football is actually played
i need some help.. i managed to get bergkamp arsenal epic on 2nd try and i blew it i think.. i always used autoallocate and i didnt think much of it and i cant play him.. he is like my worst player. i maxed him at 97 where he has 98 ball control, 94 tight possession, 87 dribbling but his lower body strengh is horrible... 71 speed and 74 acceleration.. and 68 stamina. he moves like an overweight elephant.. not just any elephant. an overweight one. looking back i would have reduced his passing and his dribbling by 4 levels and have added them in lower body to bring up his kicking power to 85 from 81 and speed to 75 and accelration to 78... and would have 1 more level to increase possession playstyle to 99.. wasted my favouriste player.. i dont know how to dribble either properly

The biggest problem I'm finding with the game is its quite unresponsive at times and the players turn like tanks
It’s because your sprinting. You also have to make sure you pay attention to your players stats it really makes the difference. This is the best soccer game you can ever play as far as realism.

1 highest without ridiculous player cards too.l although I don't consider that an accomplishment as it's just down to wins. You can play Vs anyone. I think getting to top 50 would be good....but this game is so bad playing more than 3 games per night is a struggle.
They have to fix speed of players because even if im using mbappe i cant outrun someone who has 60 rating for speed, its so annoying
There is absolutely 0 fluidity in dribbling with this game. No player ID, same movement pattern. Just different speeds. Shame.
And the saddeat thing is that Dribbling was fantastic in V1. I got basic Iniesta on day one, very slow but superb passing and Dribbling skills and he was fantastic for me, weaving in and out of players and dodging tackles like in real life (more in his younger days of course, but I put a lot of points into his Dribbling). Dribbling has gotten worse with every patch, and now slower but technical players are damn near useless because Dribbling and first touch is so poor paired with such automated defending we're damn near forced into playing quick, sharp passes constantly 😟
Even now I have the 25 year old Argentina pack Messi and I'm always just hoping he has plenty of space to move the ball onto his left to shoot because I just have absolutely no confidence in beating a man or two anymore, had scored some absolutely gorgeous little goals with good dribblers in V1 and the first patch or two as well 😟

Dribbling can work well at times v AI, recently I've enjoyed using Doku who is brilliant in one on ones. However as soon as you play online games there is a total lack of responsiveness and dribbles aren't performed. It has become a very frustrating play as it doesn't favour technical players just overpowered players

Incredible Konami made a bad Ronaldinho card for dribbling.
I can't even beat a computer on Top Player difficulty. Maybe I should just give up. I try to do things like you say but anytime a player of mine gets the ball there are 3 people around. If I manage to get past someone or do a nice series of passes there's always someone around to steal the ball away and someone in every passing lane. Defenders seem to be limitless energy machines vs my tired attackers. I struggle to put balls into space and I think the AI has learned that over the past few weeks and now is adjusting and becoming harder. Anyone and everything slices right through my defenses.
As my team gets better I get worse. Yipee. High play style like 2600 team strength. Yup I think I am over this game. Free is nice but games are supposed to be fun not make you just feel like a monkey brained primate.

It does. First touch improved if pressed when receiving the ball and for tighter turns with players with good tight possession, like Pedri etc.

You obviously don't watch my livestream where I'm using a bunch of U23 players who are on average 73 rated? Kubo and Fati are rated in 70s and they can dribble too, so can Mitoma
